I'm currently doing a Viscet commish, and this is
my first time drawing a Viscet. Since you guys
all are fabulous at drawing, I would like your
opinions on it so far. (It's only at sketch stage)

which character do you own is the most like you
personality-wise?

overtime he's pretty much turned into the near mirror
image of my personality, with his own little quirks as well.
he's the character i use to flarp with the most, and therefore
the one easiest for me to roleplay as i've been rping with him
for so long ahh.

has there ever been a character that you hated?
why?
only my own and friends, because their 'characters'/'personality's' annoyed
the heck out of me x3 of course I've become acquainted to my own characters
and have gotten a little more comfortable with my friends' characters, but
there has never been a character I've hated because of design, etc.

Do you prefer simpler character designs, or more complex ones?
simple characters and extremely complicated characters bc i'm weird
and indecisive

Do you tend to prefer buying pricier characters with a well-done reference, or go for cheaper ones with potential?
eh probably cheaper ones with potential? whenever I buy pricier
characters {that aren't customs} i almost always get rid of them after
a specific amount of time bc i can't connect to them

How do you find the right voices for your characters?
make their human versions, decide their body weight, test out with my
own voice, then type into youtube what aspects their voices have,
then pick somebody out. of course unless I have a voice actor, or
my voice/on of my acting voices is their official voice owo

To all you guys who create an island or city/village for your characters to
live on/in, how do you choose a name for the place?
And how do you decide what characters to place in/on it, if not all are there?
OMG
i honestly just think of a really alienated name {Yudrese, Latheo, Reute, and IIantra}
for planets and galaxy's. I have a main galaxy and 3 main planets that I use my
characters with {not counting Alternia and Earth /the milky-way as well/} the environments
provided on the planets decide what characters I put on it. Say the island is mostly
ocean, with little land, but the land that is on there is very warm with a bunch of
forest and a single civilization, i'd put my water bound or tropical based characters on said
planets.

Have you ever been on a character developing high? Like, you're suddenly struck with inspiration for a character that's been rotting away and you get super excited about developing and start obsessively developing them and you just...completely fall in love with the character all over again?
OH YES
I've done that with quite a few characters last month actually,
then I got sick then didn't feel like doing anything ahh

What character has caused your most recent development high?

Do you have any characters with "odd" eyes? Show us your characters with multi-colored, bi-colored, non-white sceleras, etc. eyes!
I have a few actually but i'll just show off my favorite;;

this is scurvy, he's probably my favorite out of all my characters that have odd colored eyes ahh
his eyes are actually due to an accident he went through, that caused the tar in his ears, and nose
to be prevalent, and where he got his anchor


Do you like characters with "odd" or unique eyes? Why or why not?
it depends if the idea behind them is creative or not? bc if they just have blue-green
heterochromia, or black sclera and red pupils, it'd be counted as unoriginal for me ;w;

Tape || Male || 26 || Demisexual
Tape is one of those guys who's hard to wrap
your head around. He's a pirate, whom lives in
his vintage pirate ship, and sure as well
is as hard headed and kind've dense as you'd
expect from someone in his job line.

He's an extremely sweet man with a fatherly,
well more uncle-ly, instinct to protect any kids
in his life. A joker and a wild card, you can often
find him destroying people during the game Badminton,
or soccer.

Tape can get quiet at times, though. He doesn't
contact his family anymore, due to personal issues,
so he really has no one to talk to when his best friend
Cora isn't around. He gets sulky or flat out mute when
he has too much to talk about, and no one will listen.

romance or friendships- i'd prefer to rp over thread or
skype, or google hangouts. otherwise i'd be fine with an art based
friendship/relationship


Fe || 8 || Female || Too young
A foodie who loves attention, it's hard to change
this little girls mind on anything. She can be sly and sneaky,
but most often maintains a cheerful smile and a warm
demener in public.

She isn't much of a chatter box and keeps her mouth
shut around people she doesn't know, but is in no way shy.
She'll become the loudest little monster in the world
when people mess with her, or joke about things she feels
strongly about. Her quietness is odd for sure, and no-one is
really sure why she decides to keep quiet, and no one
will know if she continues to give a proper answer to why.

Loving baking and guitars, Fe aspires to own her own bakery
some day, and have live music play each day, even at night
when she sleeps in the apartment she dreams to have above
the store. She can't sleep with some sort of distraction, if there's
nothing around to occupy her dreams she'll have night-terrors and
will constantly get up and walk around until she can sleep
again.

Jayne || 56 || Female || Taken
An exceptionally caring and thoughtful woman, Jayne is the
mother figure to more than just her own biological children. Having
a kind heart and generous nature, she's often doing her best
to spend her time helping others with their needs, and often forgets
her own.

Seeing as she can be a little arrogant at times when brought
into light for an accomplishment or achievement, she apologizes alot
for her sudden stubbornness and 'lack of manners'. Extremely
overprotective, she, in all her 6'1 glory, will stand between whomever
she cares for and who is troubling them. However, she'd really never
hurt a fly so some of her words are just tactics to scare others off.

Work as a nature reserve ranger can be a little tough... especially
when you've named pretty much every flower that's in the park and
hate to see them crushed when children don't follow the designated
paths as they're told. Adults do it as well, but she doesn't have the lenientness
towards them that she does to children. Seeing as she was brought up
on discipline and perfectionism, she feels adults should have more
of a grasp on their lives and should be able to control themselves better.
However, she does understand that not all adults were raised the way they
should have been, so she never goes and and confronts them blatantly, but
instead try's to get them to sit down and talk to her.

Designed my first Kelpies for the Spring Hunt event and I'm so happy with how they came out o3o (The lineart belongs to Okami-Haru though)

They're all free customs or DTA depending on how you look at it. Basically they're customs for someone but to officially adopt them you have to draw them.


This is my catching picture for one of the two Kelpies I requested from the hunt. The second and third one are mine. The second will be Ace's new Kelpie, the pink one will go to his little daughter, Faith. ^u^

So recently i've been seeing a lot of "newer" artist on DA. And these newer artist are selling their designs for like $60, but yet, the design is SO simple? I get the whole "Have a design from a popular artist" but come on.
I just don't understand why people think one of their plain jane characters is worth 5 of my unique characters? Like seriously, why is it that now a days, people are so much more worried about who the artist/creator was, than the design its self? And no offense, but designs are getting really similar these days.. stars/galaxies, browns, weird stripes down back..
Does anyone else feel like this aswell?
