That bothers me to no end. Like, I get it. Your favorite band split. But the band members have feelings too. If I was in a band that had split and people constantly asked me if it was getting back together I would be so annoyed and probably want to hit my fans in the face. It's like quitting an old job or graduating school. You just don't go back to it. And the guys are all excited about their new projects. Why can't people just be happy for them instead of being so selfish? Telling them to get back together is like saying you don't like the music they are producing now which they obviously want to make more than they wanted to make anything currently with My Chemical Romance. Musicians don't like to hear that their projects are trash. They work super hard at what they do. You don't have to like or support their new projects but at least be respectful of their decisions. My Chemical Romance had a super good run. All of their albums are wonderful and I would have hated for them to sell out or wash up. They ended on a really high note and it's so cool that their music is still popular and influential three years after the split.

@Jaded, I completely agree with everything you said. When I looked at Gerard's Instagram there were only nice comments lioke "thank you for making music" and "thanks for being my inspiration" and just really sweet nice messages like that. I too hate it when people beg them to get back together because they obviously weren't happy in that band in the end and the people want them to go back to that when it almost resulted in Gerard's suicide. And also, they were going for 11 years, which is a long time for any band really. And also about Donald, even though I don't support the man at all, it is a bit childish to spam him, so I agree with that. Well said, Jaded c:

I'll definitely join! I didn't see a thing to fill out to join so do we just post?
Did you all hear that Gerard Way is working on the Doom Patrol comics for Dc's Rebirth? Doom Patrol is one of the lamest/campiest superhero teams Dc has and it's going to be awesome to see his twist on it. Especially after what he did with the Killjoys, I think he can really capture the essence of Doom Patrol. I'm so excited. 10/10.

personally i really love doom patrol as a group of characters and as a series, so i'm very interested in seeing how Gerard's going to interpret them, especially in terms of rebooting. here's to hoping it's not another dark emo gritty reboot, cause personally those are the worst. but seriously, dc opinions aside, i'm a huuuge fan of Gerard as an artist and writer, and Killjoys has got to be one of my favorite comics (matching my favorite era in terms of music and style!!) so i've got very high hopes about how doom patrol will be with him involved!!

When I went to the NC Comic Con, he had spilled it. So I've known since November. So I've been excited for a while!

I love me some dark and demented comics. Umbrella Academy is top notch and certain dark Dc storylines are amazingly written with beautiful artwork. But darkness doesn't really coincide with Doom Patrol and I really envision it as being similar to the Killjoy comics. To me, Gerard taking on the Doom Patrol is a test of how good of a writer he really is. It's easy to write your own stories because you can change them to your liking and if you miss the mark on something, no one has to know. Taking on a series with characters that people know is entirely a different thing. You try to change things up too much and people hate you or if you don't change things up enough people hate you. I just really hope Gerard can capture the charm that the original Doom Patrol comics and find a balance between what the comic already has and what he has to offer it. Also, I'm super psyched because Gerard is the sort of guy to bring Danny the Street (he's literally a sassy piece of asphalt) back to the DCU and make Beast Boy less red.
