Kestrelflight went silent and followed Petalfall out, glaring suspiciously at the two cats. "Who are you?" He asked, his voice quiet enough so that only Petalfall and the cat could hear.

Aspentail stayed quiet the entire way to camp. He dropped off the prey and finally looked at Sweetpaw. "Bring some prey to the elders den and then we're done for the day." He told her. He headed towards Skystar's den. "Skystar? Is Bluemoon with you?"

Before she was high enough, the fox's jaws closed around Otterpaw's tail with a vicious snap. Otterpaw yelped with pain and with Mapleclaw's help, managed to pull her tail free. Otterpaw shuddered, staring at the fox with terror.

Lichenflower nodded, guilt flashing through her. She should've realized how long they'd been gone. "We should go find them." The tortoishell's mind filled with flashes of horrible things that could be happening to them and she started towards the camp entrance.

the two toms looked at each other. "i'm trout or you would know be as trouttail and this is gash or gashear," he said. now that petalfall heard their warrior name she rememeber them. "so are you the only two who want to stand up to rose?" she asked. trout shrugged. "all we know of is gash, my mate moon and myself at the moment," he said then looked around. "if you help us get rid of rose will get you out of her, deal?" trout asked, thrashing his long tail.

sweetpaw nodded, keeping the prey she had in her mouth to give to the elders. she walked into the den but suddenly saw silverleaf asleep but dovefeather not breathing. she dropped the prey and yowled. "bluemoon, help!"

mapleclaw looked at the tip of her apprentice's tail which was now mangled. bluemoon might have to get rid of the tip if it got infected.

runningtail heard the yowl of sweetpaw then watched bluemoon rush to the elders' den.

skystar shook her head then heard the yowl and jumped to her paws. she rushed to the place of the yowl and saw bluemoon trying to wake dovefeather which didn't work. "i will prepare a vigil," bluemoon said, grief in her voice.

Kestrelflight flicked his ear in faint recognition. He looked closely at the moonclan cats, wondering how a clan could become so well the way Moonclan was now. He glanced at Petalfall. "I would say yes but it's Skystar you should talk to. If she helps, the rest of our clan will help and it'll be easy to get rid of Rose."

Aspentail followed Skystar and looked at Dovefeather, greif shining in his gaze. The old cat had been admired among Sunclan.

Otterpaw whipped her tail around so that she could see what the fox had done to it. The apprentice gave a small squeak of horror. It hurt more than she wanted to admit.

Lichenflower's eyes flashed with sadness. She'd liked the old cat. They'd been good friends.

gash and trout nodded, trying not to be rude as they really wanted help. "alright, do you think you could get us into your camp so we could talk to your leader, skystar?" gash asked, being the more peaceful of two of them. petalfall looked over at kestrelflight, wanting him to answer.

sweetpaw walked out of the elders' den as she watched them. she wondered what to do.

"i'll be okay, as long as we can get to camp," mapleclaw promised her, her claws gripping into the branch.

runningtail was also sad but to him his sister and now adoptive daughter were more important. "come on, lichenflower, we need to find them," he said.

Kestrelflight shrugged. Two cats against his entire clan? It'd be easy. "Fine." He glanced at Petalfall, wondering if she agreed with him. He narrowed his eyes at the moonclan cats. "Let's go."

Otterpaw looked worried. "How will we do that?" She pointed out. The fox was still circling the tree, glaring up at the two cats.

Lichenflower nodded, her eyes flickering with worry. "Yeah, let's hurry." She ran out of camp, pausing only to wait for Runningtail and to scent the air to find out which way they'd gone.

trout and gash nodded then walked towards the crowfood path, petalfall followed behind them and once they were there she waited for two other cats to say when to go.

"someone will come to look for us eventually," mapleclaw said. she tried to be optimistic but she didn't know if someone would come in time.

runningtail nodded, running towards the scent he had picked up then started to pick up a fox scent along with mapleclaw and otterpaw's scent. "there might be a fox," he said, bristling.

Kestrelflight stared warily at the thunderpath, looking for a break in the passing monsters. As soon as the other two cats signaled for them to go, Kestrelflight darted forward, running as fast as he could over the thunderpath.

Otterpaw nodded, only partly convinced. She watched the fox nervously.

Lichenflower's eyes flashed with alarm. She could pick up the fox scent as well. "Should we get more help?" She murmured. "Will us and Mapleclaw be enough to fight off the fox?" She asked.

petalfall watched all tom cross the cross the crowfood path then it was her turn. she bolted across the crowfood path but right before she made it across a monster raged towards her and the only thing that saved her was a hefty pull by trout.

mapleclaw took in a death breath, hoping for help.

"i will stay here, you can get help, i wouldn't want a fox to come here and hurt you," runningtail said, still bristling.

Kestrelflight looked at Petalfall with concern. "Are you okay?" He asked.

Lichenflower nodded, her worried gaze flicking with worry. "Don't let Otterpaw get hurt." She murmured. The tortoishell bounded back to camp, her quick entrance starting the other cats. "There's a fox!" She yowled, looking at Aspentail.

The deputy sat up quickly and looked around. "Blizzardheart, Tinyfang, come with me." He ordered quickly. This would be plenty of cats to defeat the fox.

petalfall was breathing heavily but she nodded, blinking like she was trying to get the image out of her mind. she realized that she still had her claw's unsheathed and quickly sheathed them.

skystar and sweetpaw also ran over along with blizzardheart and tinyfang. "i will go to," sweetpaw said. "no you won't you will stay put," skystar told her.
