I have a feeling that the pps might turn out to be a rare

I would say definitely rare. It seems everyone is looking for them and even offering 6 C$ and rares isn't enough. Why must I be a perfectionist? x) It is a very pretty outcome though. Does anyone know what the litter is based off of (breakables, plates?)?

You can't influence the number of pets by hoarding them.
CS calculates rarity based on how many of a pet exist on active accounts. To be considered inactive, an account would have to not have been logged into for a way longer time than a month, so as of now, every existing march pet on the site (excluding off-account adopts) will be counted into the rarity calculations.
It doesn't matter to the system whose specific account the pet is on. If you have ten dogs on one active account, or ten dogs on ten active accounts, it's irrelevant to the statistics ^^

Hoarding affects supply and could make a pet harder to trade for, but that's not what rarity is about. It's all about numbers, not availability.

Edit: Unless you meant to say that you are guessing it will be uncommon because you haven't seen many of them, but you suspect that people could have so many of them hidden out of sight in their hoards that they just seemed uncommon to you?
That would make more sense to me, though I have found, personally, that regardless of hoarders, the economy still reflects the rarity of a pet quite well.

That last bit is what I was trying to say. I've been trying to gauge the rarity based on how many I've seen, either people mentioning what they originally got, or currently have. As well as the people who've not had them.

I usually find that you can still make pretty good estimates about rarity even if a lot of people hoard the pet in question. Though it's probably easier, in that case, to look more closely at places such as this thread, because you can just count how many people missed a pet vs. how many got it. Or how many pets in someone's hoard turned into the respective outcome^^
I'm always a bit iffy about guessing the rarity based on how much people offer for a pet (because heaven knows people overpay a lot) or how many are asking for it on the trade board (because yeah, hoarders), so I try to just keep track of "I got"/"I didn't get".

I'm currently guessing uncommon for the PPS, considering I've seen more people post about not getting it, but not an outrageous majority.

kintsukuroi, a japanese technique where broken porcelain gets repaired with golden ... stuff (i dont know what exactly is used for it)

I'm guessing uncommon as well; the splits are just driving demand way high
I've encountered multiple users with multiple P.P.S. pups, all from their OG adopts from what I can see
I'm just glad that I didn't need to pay anything crazy. There are plenty of people who are willing to trade their extras off pretty fairly imo

I agree uncommon probably for both white dogs, it looks like a pretty even split for the white pup. But that was the least common outcome from the litter before the split.

Personally what I got from the litter so far is

...or so I think. I don't remember how many we could adopt, but I know I missed the green dog and now the PPS.

My original littler consisted of 3 green pups, 2 black and 1 blue/black. I traded for the one white pup I got which grew into the repaired adult dog.

In my original adopts I had 4 white outcomes, 3 adults, 1 PPS
in the amount I hoarded I ended up with around 12 PPS and 20ish adults,
although i've traded most of my PPS's away for adults as I prefer them ~

out of the one I have I ended up with the PPS. People are not wanting to even trade the adult though and I realized not too long ago I'm still missing one of the growing foxes.
