Dappleheart finally eyed a good fish near the edge of the river and swiped for it. She would've gotten it, but the fish flopped back into the river before she got to break its scales. "Hmph." She laid down in the grass, watching it swim away.

"Do you want me to show you how you could get it next time?"

*Tigerstripe eyed her, not with pity, but with interest*

She was about to politely decline, but she had curiosity towards how he caught them. "How do you do it?" She asked the warrior curiously.

Pebbleface kneaded the ground with his claws. "You take her back, she'll run again."

Birchtail frowned. "You don't need to leave, though.."

Birchfoot shrugged. "She never really talked to me. I just remember what she looked like.." he trailed off.

At this, Frost just stared, not speaking. Flame might run away again; she probably will. But Frost wasn't just going to give her up.

"Well" *he started*

"First you have to make sure your shadow isn't over the water, that way the fish doesn't see it."

*he then peered over the water, seeing no shadows*

"Then you have to quickly put your paw into the water when you see a fish. Then you pull it out of the water and flick it into the air. Once you've done that, you kill it."

*he finished with a satisfied purr

"Well I know about the shadow part, but I haven't flicked it in the air yet." Dappleheart meowed to the tom. "I guess I will try that then." Dappleheart repeated the process again, this time flicking it in the air. She caught it in her mouth, but it slipped out and fell on the floor. She then grabbed it with her jaws and broke its scales, setting it on the ground. "Eh, I need to practice catching it..." She meowed, not too fond of the technique.

"You don't have to catch it, but that would certainly be cool."

*Tigerstripe chuckled a little and his jaws parted in a yawn*
