Okay, so I'm super excited right now!
I would like for you all to meet my newest character, Vasco Diego Jones:

He goes by Diego Jones though. X3 I decided to re-use a name that I had come up with for a Makoatl adoption that I lost for him because I felt that it fit him. ^^;

Anyway, I really love the concept that I came up with him, so I want to share it with you all, especially since it fits into this week's Out of This World theme! :3

Diego is the author of a famous fantasy book series for children [I'm currently calling it The Asteroph Chronicles, but that's subject to change], what few know is that the fantasy world which he portrays in this book series is actually a real place, a place accessible through some sort of portal in a large crack in the basement of his country house. He goes on adventures into this world, to find more and more inspiration for his stories. He has no intentions of ever exposing the truth of the fact that this place truly exists, however a neighbor boy, Matthew (another character owned by me [who is actually not developed, but whose development has now been sparked by this character]), who recently moved in next door and happens to be a huge fan of Diego's, believes that the house next door is abandoned (the house is ramshackle looking on the outside since Diego often leaves home for weeks at a time to delve further into this other world), wanders inside and finds the crack to the other world in the basement and wanders in. While there, he gets captured by a beast and Vasco saves him from it, but he gets severely injured, so he has to start using what used to be his walking stick, as a cane. Matthew becomes his traveling companion since he is injured and he figures it'd be nice to have company as well. Although, because time passes differently between the other world and their world, Vasco's travels are cut shorter since Matthew has to go to school.
If they have to communicate silently in the other world (which I'm temporarily calling Asteroph), they communicate via paper airplanes. X3

Also, I'm expecting to get some art of him soon! fūi told me they're working on a bonus piece of him, so expect me to be sharing that with you all once I get it. ♥

Anyway, I super love this character for tons of reasons, but one of the big ones is because from the moment that I saw him, I knew that if I got him, he'd have to be an author.
It's sort of bad, but I almost want to make him a fursona, but I don't really roll like that. ^^;
