There is apparently a
model that works as a universal remote control. It's a lot more expensive, of course, but you can program it to control your TV/radio/DVD player/electronic devices through various gestures, so it's
kind of like having a real, working sonic screwdriver.

@Schuyler ~ Oh my gosh! I totally agree with you! I thought he could have been one of the great Doctors of he'd been given the chance. If you ever get a chance, I'd strongly recommend listening to some of the audiobooks for the 6th Doctor. I managed to get part of one from a special thing the BBC did as a count down to the Christmas special for "Last Christmas" I thought it sounded pretty great.
Anyway, I'm not too big on his coat, although I found it quite humorous. XD
I agree with you about Peri. Even if I only got to see her for that one movie, I felt like she was horribly stereotyped and it irked me to no end. XD Although, to be fair, it's the writers' fault, I'm sure Peri could have been a better character if they hadn't made her such a stereotypical character.
On a slightly random note, I don't know why, but I'd love to see the Doctor travel around with companions who are twins. I think that'd be a cool idea. XD

Does anyone know where upcoming Doctor Who convention/tour information can be found?
I tried looking on the official Doctor Who site for conventions, but nothing came up... I'm not sure. Because the reason why I'm asking is because I know someone who went to a DW convention in Salt Lake City a couple days ago, but I hadn't seen any info about it on the official site? Thanks.
And finally... the 8 seasons of the Regenerated episodes of Doctor Who are back on Amazon Prime! I can't wait to watch them! ;U;

this, though, which appears to be fan-made but could be helpful for finding events.
I feel like that website pretty much proves to me that about one of the few characters from Doctor Who that my state can secure for conventions on a relatively consistent basis is Mark Sheppard. X3
I feel like every time I talk to friend about conventions, when I ask them about if anyone from Doctor Who was there, they tell me that they had Mark Sheppard there. X3 Not that I have anything against him, I think he's brilliant, but seriously....can my local conventions not secure anyone else? X3

does anyone know if it's really gone off of netflix?!
It was announced last year that Netflix was removing all Doctor Who episodes as of this year. I can't remember the particulars, but it really is gone and I don't know if they'll ever bring it back.
Honestly, this doesn't really effect me as I don't use Netflix, however, I would recommend other means of watching the show. Personally, I prefer my local public library system. I can request the DVDs and watch them that way. Sure, you might end up watching them out of order, but at least you get to see them. ^^;

Yeah, the show got taken off Netflix, Hulu plus, and I think some other places on February 1st this year. :/ I heard it was because the BBC wants to launch their own streaming service, not sure if that's just a rumor or if it's been confirmed somewhere. I'd recommend checking your local library, too, to see if they have DVDs you can borrow. You can also buy the new series and some of the old on iTunes, Google Play, etc., and of course you can always buy the physical DVDs as well.

Thank you so much Schuyler!
I've been scrolling around the site, and I noticed how expensive these tickets are.... ahhhh
I've got to save up if I want to meet the 11th Doctor ;___; rip
