>oh my....I can't even process what I just saw. I'm not hyperventilating, you're hyperventilating. Why Daryl, why?!?!?! It's just a fake out though right? It has to be.

@Lacey - Spoilers Ahead for 6x15 - I think it has to be a fake out. I rewound the clip after the trailer and it looked like Dwight shot him in the shoulder, but I'm really not 100% sure. I could be completely off bout that and he MAY have shot him in the throw/head. Fingers crossed or shoulder though.

If it's not a fake out, I hate to say it, but TWD will lose half of its fan base if they end up killing Daryl off from that or even next week. Even if that sounds stupid, it's actually true from how popular the character is.

If Daryl does in fact live through this, I find it hard to believe that they will kill him off next week. I mean, why would you give the audience a fake out, just to go right around the next week and kill him off? I mean sure they could do it, but it's like why would you? What is the point, like what on earth would you get out of it outside of purely [blank for swear word] people off?

I have to say while this is making me excited for the finale, it also makes me extremely terrified at the same time.
We all know on talking dead half the time when there is a surprise cast member, they are dead. Tonight, it was Sasha, Sasha was not dead. Next week on the couch, it's Norman..that can either be a good thing, or a very, very, VERY bad thing.

I don't know, all I can do is have my fingers crossed and pray for my favorite redneck.

Spoilers including the recent episode and this one:

I was silent but in awe when Daryl got shot. After the episode had ended, I said, "DID THEY JUST KILL OFF DARYL??"
I soon realized after a few moments that he was likely shot in the shoulder, and it seemed like everyone thought he'd survive on Talking Dead. Speaking of which, I was extremely surprised that Tobin's actor had also done voices behind characters of many animes I happen to know!

Well.. aside from that, I think some of you spoiled fans know exactly where that last trailer's leading to. When I saw Lucille (the baseball bat, if you didn't know), I started screeching again.

.. I think we all know where this is going. Unfortunately, we're going to have to say goodbye to a major character (or possibly a few) next week.

@MysterySoul6
>Yes, I think you're right. After watching the episode again I'm like 70% sure he is not currently dead at least. The spatter coming from the shoulder, Dwight saying you'll be alright, Morgan talking about cycles and how everything gets a return leads me to believe he's okay for now. Although I feel like Daryl's death is still a possibility, I find it hard to believe that amc would even allow that. But really who knows. I've been wrong plenty of times. ;)

@【Nakimushi Robot】
>Absolutely. A huge character death is long overdue. They have 90 minutes to do as much damage as possible. Lucille is going to mess somebody up.

screams

I really don't think they'll kill Daryl out, in fact I agree with all of you that it was most likely his shoulder and the show just wanted to end it with a cliff-hanger. I really hope they find Carol soon, just in time for all the drama in the next episode or Morgan will be gone as well. Wait, does that mean Daryl, Rosita, Michonne and Glenn will be out too? I hope they somehow all meet up and somehow collide with the fight, because I didn't see a lot of people in that truck in the trailer and I was disappointed to see Carl in it too. The bat looked scary as hell, but someone we all know and probably cherish will die... I just hope they don't go out with the comics and kill Glenn off, I really don't know who they'll kill.

All I can say is that I'm digging Maggie's haircut.

@smofir- Hah, I remember when everyone was afraid of Maggie's
new look on social media because they thought that she'd be killed off.

    little spoilers ahead..??:
I doubt her death, especially since she's preggers and all, but who knows..?
.. my mother thought the baby turned into a walker (they have no teeth yet!), but I thought she was
just giving birth. What do you guys think?

All of this post contains spoilers for 6x15

@Naki - If Maggie is in fact in labor, I don't know how I am going to feel about that since she's barely showing at all. I mean I guess with the current state of Alexandria where they had been without food for awhile, it would make sense in a way for her to be giving birth because it would mean the baby is just extremely born early and probably wont survive. However it could also be a miscarriage, miscarriages tend to cause extreme pain for the women since they are basically losing the baby.
I guess it just sort of depends, I mean if I am being 100% honest here, I am find if the baby dies either by miscarriage, or being born extremely early, because I think having one baby is enough.

@Smofir - I find it hard to believe as well that they will kill Daryl, I really think he got shot in the shoulder and if Daryl is to die, he'll die sometime later on.
I will say this, another thing I find is, Daryl didn't kill The Governor. He didn't get back at him for killing his brother. Dwight killed Denise, someone Daryl actually liked, and he took his crossbow, and his bike. Are they really just going to let Dwight get away with this by killing Daryl? Not to mention I find if Daryl did in fact die from this gunshot by next week, that is an EXTREMELY cheesy and UN-suspenseful death for not only a main character, but their most popular one. I have to say I'd be surprised if they kill anyone else but Glenn, because I really don't know who they'd have take his place unless they pull a major plot twist.
      -

@Lacey - I mean if we all think about it, anyone can die at any moment, it is the apocalypse, there are just certain characters that are less likely then others. With Daryl being the one who their merch is based around, and that half of the fan base is based around him, I'd be surprised if Daryl died at all. But again, I've been wrong at all. When Beth died, I thought it was going to be Carol. They could give us a curve ball and he could die next week. -

For no one in particular just an open thought - I have to say, I've been avoiding certain gossip blogs to refrain from reading the hate people are giving Daryl and his fans, and how they'd be happy if he died. But one thing I did read in an article was that people are thinking Daryl could die, and the "You'll be alright" was not for Daryl or the group, but for us, the fans. They believe that Dwight will take over the saviors like in the comics and become Rick's #1 adviser, in this case, killing off Daryl and being his replacement since in the comics, he's essentially Daryl.
If this happens I honestly am saying I will NOT be happy. The writers of the she can do that, but the Ine thing they can't do is make us fans like him or the actor. Because killing off Daryl isn't just something fans can just look by, not to mention the actor would replace Norman Reedus, and that is hugely disrespectful to Norman and his character, along with the fans. It just wouldn't be right. It would be absolutely idiotic, to say the least.

Re: ☢ "We are, The Walking Dead." - The Walking Dead Fanclub

Postby elizabethhher » Wed Mar 30, 2016 12:47 pm

okay i'm still in a state of shock buuuttt
to comment on the daryl topic, i believe he could be dead next episode (maybe not at the start, though). i love the lil' dixon to pieces but hear me out folks
so long time 'go, on talking dead, they had i believe it was scott gimple (coulda been greg nicotero idr) on the show and were talking about the whole "if daryl dies we riot" merch (i have like ten shirts myself oops). he said that he found that it was interesting and actually a challenge to him. he wanted to see if the fans would really do it. also, it was said that if daryl was killed off, norman would "set his trailer on fire" or something of the sort.

of course, this wouldn't be the only reason for him to kill off daryl as that's stupid as all out (and that's how you get murdered by angry fans). he's also not in the comic books, and well, many non-comic book characters were killed off early on. (minus sasha but shhh). daryl's had a long run, and i feel like killing him off is something they might do, just to ruin our lives a little bit further.

      buuuuuut comma
they also might not kill daryl because loads of reasons but the one i'm gonna focus on is ratings
because daryl is like twd mvp, by killing him off, people might stop watching the show. yeah, it's kind of a stupid reason to stop watching the show (you've invested around 62.6 hours into this show i mean really now) but a lot of people are serious about not watching the show if daryl isn't in it. i'm not sure if they'll keep daryl alive for this reason, but if they do, i'm sure it might be one of the reasons he's alive.

i hope my gibberish made sense ouo

Daryl and Rick were like

the two bros.

even though Michonne might be like,

more important to Rick in some way...

the rejection is real

Most of the fans that say they'll stop watching is true. I know a couple of people who would stop watching if Daryl dies honestly, but I am really hoping they don't kill Daryl off at all, or if they do, hold it off until the final season.
Like Liz said, Daryl is basically the mvp of TWD. He's the most beloved character on the show, and while it is sort of a stupid reason to stop watching the show, it's reasonable for fans at the same time, and also one of the main reasons to keep Daryl around. Ratings would just not be as good if Daryl was dead, I don't think the show would be around now if Daryl wasn't on the show honestly.

I will say that, Austin Amelio who plays Dwight confirmed that he shot Daryl in the shoulder, so while that does keep Daryl safe from Dwight, that doesn't mean he's safe from Lucille.
