Dawnsun
Dawnsun yawned. She heard the tweeting of birds and she was about to go about daily business. Then all exhaustion was wiped clean from her paws. Boulderstar was announcing the new deputy! She got up and bounced out of the den, sitting outside and grooming her fur to look presentable. It could be her!

Sundapple
Sundapple blinked open her eyes and felt the excitement of every cat crackle through the air like greenleaf lightning. For a moment she was confused, then remembered. "Jaggedtail, who do you think the new deputy will be?" She asked the older tom in a loudish voice, trying to wake him up.

Smokestep
Smokestep felt hard prodding in his ribs and opened an eye. "What are you--" Then he remembered. The deputy ceremony. He got up and passed Charlie, not in the mood for friendly conversation. He sat near the edge beside the freshkill pile, watching Boulderstar with cool eyes.

Wolfpaw
Wolfpaw woke up and left the den promptly. He sat outside and casually groomed his fur. He could feel the excitement of every warrior radiating from each pelt, but he wasn't as excited. Maybe it was because he knew it wouldn't be him. Yet.

Jaggedtail
Jaggedtail awoke abruptly to Sundapple's question. "I cant be sure, Boulderstar hasn't really been dropping any hints. Do you have a guess?" He asked as he stood up in his bed, huis old brittle bone cracking.

Brightfern
Brightfern heard Boulderstar's announcement and followed her apprentice. She took a seat next to her and muttered, "Thank you for gathering the herbs." She thanked her and then turned back to the highrock.

Darkestrike
Darkstrike was about to reply before he heard Boulderstar's command. "I guess the deputy ceremony is now."

Wolfflower
The queen perked her ears when Boulderstar called. She looked down at her sleeping Silverkit, snuggled up close to her stomach. "Go ahead without me love. I want to go but I don't want to wake the poor thing. Would you be ok with coming to tell me who the new deputy is?" she asked hesitantly.

Crowpaw
Crowpaw was already in the clearing so she just had to hobble over to high rock. Instead she nervously walked over to the first apprentice she saw. Wolfpaw. She slowly walked over to him. "C-Can I sit with you?" the she-cat asked politely.

"Of course Wolfflower." He replied with a respectful dip of his head. He turned and padded out of the den and into the clearing. He sat on the off set of the clearing, isolated from most cats.

Wolfflower stared after him worriedly and sighed once he had disappeared. She looked down at her kit and smiled. Did I do something wrong? she wondered. It made her nervous. She knew she was far from perfect but she was trying her best.

Boulderstar

Boulderstar stood up and looked over the clan one last time before speaking, "I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of out warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of RainClan is Dawnsun."

Mosstail

Mosstail looked over to Boulderstar. She nodded her head to her brother, he'd made a wise choice.

Charlie

Charlie followed Smokestep out of the warrior den and made it just in time to hear Boulderstar announce Dawnsun as the new deputy. He looked over with pride at the she-cat.

Blossomfur

Blossomfur looked over to Dawnsun, smiling. The she-cat deserved it, she'd worked hard to get to where she is.

Ravenpaw

Ravenpaw smiled as he heard that Dawnsun would be the new deputy, he knew she'd worked hard to earn this.

Riverpaw nodded to Brightfern. Once she heard Boulderstar's words, she smiled.

Rainwing looked up as Boulderstar announced the deputy and knew he made a good choice.

Branchfall watched Boulderstar and nodded when he announced Dawnsun as deputy.

Dawnsun
Dawnsun's eyes widened and she was silent for a moment. "I.. I'm honoured," she began, voice shaking with surprise and doubt "I won't let any of you down, and I will serve you all until my last breath." She vowed, standing up with eyes beginning to fill with happiness. Are you proud of me now, Pappa?

Sundapple
Sundapple opened her mouth to guess before Dawnsun's name was called. "I think she will do well." The elder rasped, looking out of the den at the golden tabby fæ.

Smokestep
Smokestep felt a twang of jealousy as Dawnsun's name was called, but simply nodded. He didn't want the Clan to see his disappointment. Besides, Dawnsun would be a great deputy.

Wolfpaw
Wolfpaw smiled and nodded approval as the new deputy's name was called. "Dawnsun! Dawnsun!" The apprentice began the chant with loud and happy calls.

{I'm going to change Dawnsun's history to a sadder one. I will edit her form tomorrow.}

Jaggedtail opened his eyes wide, "Didn't see that one coming. But yes, she will do great. Once the crowd clears up, you and I should go and see her. After all, it is what we did for Boulderstar." He said with a thoughtful glare and a smile.

Brightfern
Brightfern smiled and nodded. She turned her head towards the sky and whispered her thanks to Starclan.

Darkestrike
Darkstrike felt jealousy within him, but simply nodded. He smiled and stood up, he walked over to Wolfflower's den and walked in slowly. "Dawnsun is the new deputy." He spoke in an expressionless tone, but a small smile still on his face.
