She looked around the palace in appreciation, then walked through the door he held open for her

He let go of her hand and swiftly started down a hallway, it was dark and dusty
"I'm coming, Kamryn!" he called, the sound of a crying child echoed through the empty castle, and he came into a room where it was a nice set up nursery
"Kamryn.. Calm down, I'm here.." he said softly while picking him up and cradling him in a fatherly way

She followed him and watched him with the child, "You're good with him." She murmured softly. In all her 11,000 years, she'd never let herself hold a child

"Ive never had children before... Yet I feel so expert with this one." he nodded and grinned softly, seeing Kamryn wake and calm
"Would you like to hold him?" he asked, holding the child out to her

She froze, "I-I've never held a child before." For the first time in a long time, she found herself sounding unsure

He nodded and watched her
"Well.. It's alright.. Merasmus will show you.." he said and held out the child for her

Hesitantly, she walked closer and took the fragile child with slightly wide eyes

He smiled and crossed his arms, watching her with Kamryn, who seemed to enjoy the company of chiyo
He cooed and burbled happily, waving his arms and smiling up at her

He laughed softly and began to cradle him, playing with his little fingers, and she seemed less awkward about it. She glanced up at him
