The server I'm admin on currently seems to be plagued by people hacking... we haven't been able to do much about it because we haven't caught them in the act, but the console says a lot of "kicked for flying/moved wrongly". We can't actually ban them as that would ban a lot of our active population. This is irritating.

I don't know if this is the case here, but I know on my server people get kicked for flying when they get pushed by pistons the wrong way, or when they've got rubber band lag. Some of them could actually be hackers, however. Maybe when people are kicked, follow them around while /vanished for a bit? Just to see what they're up to. C:

Your favorite thing about Minecraft: its very hard to choose, but I really like interacting with people on servers and building together on creative servers, and minigames are really fun too. but playing with and taming animals is fun too, and I love riding horses. so servers and animals I guess are my favourite.

I just had a small problem with Mineplex...
I was playing Block Hunt and then turned into a melon because I saw a stack of melons right beside spawn. I was in a bad spot so I changed into a melon and jumped onto it, but I wasn't in the spot I wanted. so, I tried to move to a better spot on the stack of melons, but it wouldn't let me. I was just glitching and it refused to let me move off of the block. I decided to just stay there, but then it said I couldn't become a solid block on there. so, I continued to try to move. then I went into third person to get a better look at it, then it kicked me off the server for flying/other. has this happened to anyone else? because I promise you I was not hacking, I don't even know how!

Yeah mineplex has been having a few issues with stuff like that. Sometimes if you jump or sneak or try breaking the block beneath you you can get out. Dont worry about being kicked for flying, that doesnt actually punish you. You wont ever be banned for that alone It happens to all of us, even me XD Its also a good idea to report bugs here

Does anyone happen to know of any modded faction servers? I haven't been able to find one :-/ the closest I could find was an infinity server with no rules Dx

((~SmallDoberman~<3, if you like wolves you should totally try out the doggy styles mod. It adds a bunch of different dogs and they're much more interactive than vanilla dogs. There are better dog mods out there but I don't know of them off the top of my head))

and finally just to share some knowledge with everyone;
If you aren't using the curse launcher yet, what are you waiting for?? It's super great--by far the easiest way to install mods (literally you click a button, and it installs automatically. It's fantastic), even if they aren't on curse (just open the folder where the mods are and plop the new mod in. easy as that!). I highly suggest everyone try it if you're into modding!!

If you are interested, Mineplex has a vanilla faction like server called Clans, which recently opened. It has a lot of custom coded bosses and new weapons and tons of cool stuff. There also abilities and lots more.

Although, I like the Doggy Style mod a lot better too because the Copious Dogs mod is SUPER glitchy and the Doggy Style mod has like, 2 bugs if any. The doggy style mod's dogs are also a lot more interactive and can't die (as long as they have a house) but the Copious Dogs mod adds more dogs (i think) so if you don't care about anything but the dogs, I would reccomend Copious Dogs, but if you care about it not being glitchy, Doggy Style is a better choice.

I used to moderate a rudimentary factions server, they're basically survival where you have a base and people join your 'faction' meaning they can't hurt you and live with you and stuff and you all go raid other people's bases and steal their stuff.
I always play on Mineplex considering I'm a srmod but.... XD idk, it's been like 3 years and I'm still not sick of the mini games I have all of the achievements for all of them and I still play them you could try setting achievement goals like I did that makes it more fun. Plus new games come out every so often (wink)

factions is basically competitive towny ;P

as for minigames, I'm go nna do a quick server dump here because I know of a bunch. (Some of them might just be multi server--I haven't played on any of these in a while so I don't remember exactly what is on which server)
