Thinking for a moment she walked to her Brother "Darkcloud, we need to talk?" she meowed as she stopped to her Brother. Flicking his ears the black tom looked at his white sister "Hmmm! Really do we?" he said coldly. Silentstream nodded "Yes, I am heared thinks about you, and I really don't understand...so could we go to a walk if you don't want to talk here?" she meowed little bossy. Flicking his tail Darkcloud looked at the ground, sighing "Well, fine..." he muttered standing up.

Leaving the camp, they both was silently walking into the forest. Silentstream taked a hard breath "So are we far enoght, so you can speak?" she meowed, but silented when Darkcloud stopped suddently "Quiet...look?" he meowed as he turned toward the small stump. Eyes narrowed he noticed a few unfamiliar cats with Shadowpaw.

Fernstar entered camp with a yawn. She looked at Threeleg as he hopped away before looking back at Bearpelt and turning to face him. "Thank you, Bearpelt. Snakemint was quite a loss, but thanks for helping us bury him." She mewed then turned to her den. "I'll be in my den if you need me." The leader mewed before scrambling up the tumbledown rocks and disappearing through the fronds and into her den.

Threeleg sat down in his nest. "I have something very important to talk to you about." He mewed to the blind tom as he curled his tail across his paws. "I have been thinking for some time, and I have decided that you have a path set before you to be a medicine cat. You may not know it yet, but this is what StarClan want. If you would like to, I am ready to take you on as my apprentice." He mewed, green eyes full with grief but a warm smile on his face.

Juniperfrost refused to climb the tree as her limbs were frozen. She knew she had to help Bramblewhisker but it was as if she were paralysed to the spot. As the fox sped away back up the slope and out of sight, she dashed across to Bramblewhisker. "I'm really sorry.." She mewed before sniffing his pelt. "We'd better get you back to Threeleg." She whispered before nudging him to lean on her shoulder and helping him back to camp. "We'll need to tell Fernstar. A fox by the training hollow isn't a good thing." Then she looked at the brown tom on her shoulder. "And you'll have to send out more patrols." The fæ smiled weakly, remembering he was the deputy.

Sparrowpaw flung open his eyes as he shouted. "20!" Then he whipped around to face the camp. He saw Fernstar, Bearpelt and Threeleg come back from burying Snakemint, but shook his head to face the camp again. He trotted around the edge first, sniffing the occasional bush. Then he picked up a sweet familiar scent. He followed it to the back of the apprentice den and giggled, jumping onto Berrypaw with sheathed claws. "Found you!" He mewed happily.

Aquilo smiled, standing up straight. "No problem," he mewed as he groomed a grey tabby paw. "Foxes eh? Yeah, I wandered past a fox den beside the broken cobble path. It seemed pretty much abandoned as the scent seemed to be about a quarter moon old." He mewed, flicking his tail.

Bone watched her walk away with an open mouth. He was confused. Was it because he'd let the two loners help them? I don't know, but I must find out.

I know that it's not a very exciting one, but your first job is to move your nest from the apprentice's den to here." He mewed before curling up in his nest. "We will begin medicine training tomorrow." He yawned before closing his eyes to sleep.

"Ok." Goldenpaw went back to the apprentice den and picked up a large mouthful of the clover that he slept on. He transferred it over, until he had created his little nest again in the corner, not close to Threeleg but nearby. He settled down for the night and began to sleep.

Torretheart let out a sigh as she snuggled into her nest. Her eyes slowly drifted closed as she rested in her nest. Soon, she was deep in sleep, quiet snores sounding from her sleeping form.


Daywatcher couldn't help but let out a chuckle as she watched the apprentices. She thought back to the days when she and her sister were Torrentkit and Daykit, playing hide-n-seek, not a care in the world. Now those days are gone, she thought to herself sadly.


Bearpelt nodded at his leader and the retreating form of Threeleg. "It was my honor," he meowed to her before heading to his den. As he settled in into his nest for a good rest, he couldn't help but think of the day's events. "A thoughtful and sad day," he mumbled to himself.


Snakefang let out a yawn. He was tired and bored, and wanted to go for a good run. He quickly got to his paws and headed out of camp into the forest.

Bramblewhisker's shoulder was in agonizing pain, but he refused to admit to defeat, even though it was killing him. "Can we just hurry? It's a bit painful." The muscular tabby tom tried to stifle a laugh, but it sounded like a whimper of pain instead.

Threeleg lay in his nest, deep in sleep. The half moon was only two days away, and that would be when he introduced Goldenpaw to StarClan. He hoped he'd chosen the right cat.. It had seemed so clear when he was awake, but now he was unsure. StarClan would accept Goldenpaw, just as Threeleg had done.
