Rowanflame stood outside of Swiftstar's den and poked his head inside. "Swiftstar?" the tom called, calming down so he could talk with respect to his leader. Something some apprentice doesn't have. he thought; irritated.
Swiftstar rose to her paws and walked over to the entry of her den. "Hello, Rowanflame. What may I help you with?" she asked with a small smile. She was unaware of the bickering that had just happened between Rowanflame and Maplepaw.
Rowanflame dipped his head politely, then looked up at his leader. "It's Maplepaw... She was being very disrespectful.." he trailed off, showing her the marks on his pelt from her clawing. "She did that to me, and she was yelling at me. I think her warrior ceremony should be pushed back a moon." he stated solemnly.
Swiftstar raised a brow. "Do you? Well you are her step father, so I do trust your judgement. Where is she?" the leader asked calmly, glancing past Rowanflame and out at the camp clearing.
Rowanflame followed her gaze and shook his head. "No, she isn't in camp. She is hiding in a tree, you know, the normal." he sighed, irritated that his clanmates always hid in trees. Like they could escape their lives? No! You have to deal with it.
Swiftstar nodded and stepped out of her den, and into the clearing. She trotted out of camp with Rowanflame by her side, in search of Maplepaw. "Perhaps we should talk to her later?" she suggested and Rowanflame quickly told her, "No, she needs to know. She deserves to know." plus he wanted to give her a smug look, to show her he had power. Swiftstar found Maplepaw by scenting the air. She was in a nearby tree. The leader padded over and put one paw on the base of the tree as she gazed up at the apprentice. "Hello? Anyone up there?" Swiftstar called.
Sandclaw whispered, "No, not yet. I can't pick up anything quite yet, we must have scared the prey away," he explained and turned the other direction in search of some prey, picking up the scent of a shrew. "I can scent a shrew now." he whispered to Cloverwing. "Follow me..." Sandclaw ordered, dropping low to the ground.
