The bengal she-cat lifted her head as she heard the two other apprentices enter through the camp entrance. She could see that their fur was damp, and it was hard not to smell the stench of river water that clung to their fur. Her maw formed into a condescending smirk as her blue gaze traveled over them one more time. If she had learned anything when she was an apprentice of the Darkforest, it was that she shouldn't let a moment like this pass unrecognized. ''I don't know which one of you nearly drowned, but I beg of the other one to not come to the rescue next time,'' Moonpaw sniped at them as she laid her head down on her paws once again.

The tabby tom knew that he'd made Dewpaw mad, but he wasn't going to apologize for what he said. He'd never apologize for being honest, and he'd have a morbid sense of humor if he wanted to. Cedarpaw let out a low growl as he heard Moonpaw's comment. ''Shut up, Mousebrain. Why don't you go work out your own issues instead of bothering me,'' the tabby retorted as he turned his head away.

His ears went back at his sister's comments, and he looked up at the elder apoligetically. He batted her with his paws, "Don't say that!" He mewled, his kitten fur fluffing out defensively. He didn't like how his sister was being towards the elder's friend clan. He huffed, tail lashing as he have his sister an annoyed, glimmering look.

Her only response to the she-cat was a flick of her ears. She settled down in the sunny spot, tucking her muzzle underneath her paw. She was annoyed at Cedarpaw for what he had said, but she wasn't just angry. Her anger was because of her concern for Cedarpaw; she didn't want him to live in such a harsh life, and to hear him say those words out loud upset her. She couldn't understand why she got so enraged by it, but she did and couldn't help it.

Flamekit blinked, ignoring Applekit's rudeness. "What? You don't like your Clan? How come?" she asked, actually interested for once as she sat up and wrapped her ginger tabby tail neatly around her paws and looked at the elder.

Sandclaw sprang out from behind the bush, landing his paws on thin air. The squirrel's eyes seemed to widen in alarm but before it could have the chance to escape, he sprinted toward it and pounced onto it, delivering the killing bite and watching in satisfaction as the prey fell limp. He then began to dig a hole into the ground, placing the squirrel inside so predators couldn't find it as easily as they proceeded on hunting. Sandclaw scraped earth over the prey and then looked at Cloverwing happily. "Great chasing skills!" he praised, purring.

Cloverwing smiled, "Yeah, that plan was great Sandclaw!" She chuckled and glanced over at the piece of prey they both worked together to catch. "I think the clan should use that method of catching prey more often." She added as she glanced back over at Sandclaw with a bright smile.

Hollytail flicked an ear, Maplepaw rolled her eyes. Hollytail sighed and meowed. "Loyalty is something that can change. I may never been in a clan before, but I know how easy loyalty can change."

Flamekit shook her head. "No, loyalty can not be changed. Loyalty is being loyal to someone or something, and if you aren't loyal any longer than you were never truly loyal." she insisted. stop acting like you know everything flamekit XD

Sandclaw blushed. "T-thanks... I guess we could tell Swiftstar when we return?" he suggested and glanced around. "Shall we proceed on hunting?"

"How do you know?" He asked his sister, squeaking a little as he spoke. What even was loyalty? Did he have loyalty? The little tom looked back at his mother. What does she mean?

Hollytail rolled her eyes. Maplepaw answered. "No." Maplepaw said. "Loyalty comes from the heart. If you left, it was because your loyalty changed. Take your sisters and brother. Falconpaw, Hawkpaw, and Eaglepaw. They were loyal to their mother. Their loyalty was melted once she passed. Their loyalty soon went to us. Falconpaw was loyal to the dark forest and she then changed her loyalty back to us."

Flamekit snorted. "You can be loyal to multiple people, mousebrain. The point is- once you're loyal then you remain loyal, otherwise you weren't truly loyal." she looked at Applekit. "It's common sense, of course." she said simply.

Rowanflame purred in amusement. His daughter did have a point, though he wasn't sure if she should be correcting Maplepaw... he knew the apprentice had quite the temper.
