i think i prefer simpler ones, especially if they're open to being revamped. mostly because it's easier for me to draw the design that way, but also sometimes it helps the personality shine through :') a complex design is not out of the picture though! if it's done well and it's not so intricate that it's hard to remember after first glance, or it feels cluttered, i think there's a nice balance to that kind of character too : O

Characters with clear, well-drawn references generally, I find it difficult to find people willing to do reasonably priced reference sheets and I dislike having to revamp characters

@Smolder - That YCH is so amazingly done, if only I had anthro characters
@Mikuru Senpai - That character is so pretty, I think they'd be good friends with my Alibi because they're both sad and have cute flower crowns, he's a bull terrier cross as well so they have so much in common!

Right now, I'm streaming a couple of Novibat designs~

I will be revamping the reference eventually and I do have a new
lineart in mind, but I'll be working on other things (mostly school assignments)
before I can work on furthering the species.

Hmm... it really depends on how they look like, I tend to associate complex ones with many patterns, little designs, and many colors. I honestly like more simpler designs, they're easier for my skill level! The most difficult one I own is a tie between Mars and Maria, since they both have some oddish pattern, but I think Mars would be harder, so thats why I'm in the process of giving his a small revamp to dumb it down a bit for me!

I prefer the cheaper ones that have potential mostly since I have no money whats so ever to buy some that come with alot of stuff and whatsnot, also I like the cheaper ones since I like drawing the refs meself!

SIMPLER! So I can draw my characters too. :'D I am way too lazy to draw complex characters. Also my memory is really bad, I can't even remember Mauri's design (guy in sig) even tho it's painfully simple.
So yea, 98% of my characters have VERY simple design but I usually spice them up with some cool accesories!

I don't really have much of a preference, to be perfectly honest. X3 I tend to be up for anything, I prefer designs that catch my eye and my imagination. So simple or complex, they're all fair game. X3

I'm not really one for buying characters much, I don't have dA points, I don't have USD, I don't have much in the way of C$, so I only buy characters with CS pets. X3

@hasu ~ A toyhou.se is basically like Charahub, if you happen to know that website. It's specifically meant to be used for storing characters. However, the only way to get an account is from someone who is already a member and can give you a referral code (some users sell referral codes to make a profit of some sort). The website is still in like..beta or something. I have an account because I was gifted a referral code by someone. :3 I'm afraid I'm not capable of handing out a referral code since only testers and premium members have the ability to get invite codes. ^^;
