Applestorm nodded to the warrior and apprentice before flicking his tail and leading them out of camp. The grass underfoot was burnt and prickly under his pads and he didn't think they'd catch much. He sniffed the air but the smell of smoke was still fresh and it stung his nostrils.

Fawnpaw
Fawnpaw nodded before turning back to the she cat. Her worst injury was a large burn on her left hip, but Fawnpaw had patched it up as best she could. Until she woke up, all Fawnpaw could do was wait. She turned around and returned to sorting through the herbs for ones too burned to use again.

Echowhisker nudged the pile of old, burned moss to where it couldn't be stepped on. He then padded over to cinderstar in stubby steps, and helped her gather up twigs.

The cream tabby padded around the burnt undergrowth, sniffing the air was prey, but no luck. "We won't find anything here. Let's try a different place,"Sunrisewing meowed to Applestorm and Cedarpaw.

Cinderstar - Female - Mood; Fine - Where; Camp - Tags; Echowhisker and Cloudpelt

The cinder-colored she-cat placed more sticks against the nursery, pushing them firmly into the ground. She scooped up dry dirt in her claws and plastered it to the sticks like a glue. Some of it fell down, and she let out a soft sigh. "I think that should do it for now. Let's go fix up the apprentice's den,"she meowed, making her way to the hollowed tree.

Echowhisker nodded, and grabbed some of the twigs the best his small muzzle could hold them, balancing a few on his back, and one on his forehead, tucking a few larger ones under his chin.

Applestorm nodded as he found no scent. "I agree. Any prey at all would have ran to fresher ground. Let's try near the border and see if it's any better." He mewed before beginning to walk through the territory at a steady pace, looking back to make sure the patrol was following.

Thank you for recommending that Zootopia roleplay to me! Also, one of your cats could help rebuild camp or help refill the fresh kill pile. I'm not sure where Larkfeather is. The roleplayer is currently absent.))

Sunrisewing followed Applestorm, her paws thumping against the forest floor as she trotted towards the ginger tabby. A black bird let out a chirp above her, and her ears perked up. She gathered up her haunches, slowly stalking towards the base of a charred tree the bird was perched on. Sunrisewing leapt up the tree nimbly and the black bird let out a sharp squawk and flew to the other tree. She beckoned Applestorm with her tail, pointing towards the tree that the black bird flew to.

Cinderstar - Female - Mood; Fine - Where; Camp - Tags; Echowhisker and Cloudpelt

Cinderstar continued the same procedure with the apprentice's den. The inside was burnt, with the smell of singed moss bedding inside. She twitched her whiskers and continued to place the sticks onto the den, building it up to the top.

Ashkit - Male - Mood; Happy - Where; Camp - Tags; Cinderstar, Echowhisker, and Cloudpelt

Ashkit glanced around the camp, his vivid blue gaze sweeping across the clearing. He spotted the apprentice's den and bounded over. "Can I help?" He asked, an excited glint in his blue orbs. "I want to be an apprentice now! Please?" The black and white kit asked, grinning.

Cloudpelt - Male - Mood; Happy - Where; Camp - Tags; Cinderstar, Echowhisker, and Ashkit

The black and white warrior looked at his son and gave him a soft smile. "You can't become an apprentice until you're 6 moons old,"he said gently to Ashkit. Cloudpelt continued to work on the apprentice's den. "You don't need to do this kind of stuff yet, but it won't be long,"he added, and gave him an even bigger smile when Ashkit let out a squeal of excitement.
