The petite Hunter huffed lowly with her eyes set right on the book only a short distance away from reach.Oh, what she would give to be just a few inches taller for these minor inconveniences of the civilian part of life.Maybe she was a bit stubborn for not asking for help. She took a few steps towards the bookcase with confidence. Upon a brief inspection, she noticed that the shelving seemed to have been composed of some metal. Well, the lining appeared to be metallic in appearance. Probably to strengthen the shelf itself so that it could take a lot of weight from the books that lined the shelf.Could it be aluminum? Maybe carbon steel? Not like it mattered. She knew that some metals conducted electricity. Nadia lifted her hands so that they were almost level at her chest. She kept her gaze pinned on the book on the top shelf, and with a slow and steady movement, she moved her right hand to the side. The book wiggled, and almost appeared like if it was scooting more to the right of the book shelf to where the book end was. She nearly had it at the end to where she can make an attempt to grab it. She sidestepped as she guided it, but this concentration broke when she heard the Hunter Vanguard say something that most definitely captured her attention. She stood absolutely still, trying to catch what Cayde was talking about. She only caught a few fragments of the sentence, while she lowered her arms so that her hands would now be at her side. She turned her head a little to look over her shoulder so she would now be looking over at Cayde and the hunter that was standing beside him. He mentioned 'weeks' and 'mission'. That was enough to get her attention.
While Ikora Rey and Commander Zavala quickly input their opinion about this supposed mission that was devised by Cayde, she wasn't as swift to shut down the prospect of this mission. She turned quickly on her heel so that she would be facing the direction of the table where the group stood. She can't believe she was doing this, but hey, she might never get the chance to go on a mission such as this. A mission planned out for weeks? While she did enjoy what she did like rifling through the information presented in the fine lines of a book and exploring the ruins of long forgotten places, she wouldn't mind spicing up her routine. "Ah,excuse me. Sir?" she said just loudly enough in hopes to catch the attention of the Vanguard. The Warlock that pointed out where the book was located on the shelf turned towards her with a bit of bewilderment from the audacity of the hunter to interrupt the vanguard. He made a motion like if he was going to take care of the situation by escorting her outside of the room of Vanguards in case this was a private matter that was not to be interrupted. The Warlock took a step back, seeing the book up on the top shelf falling forward. A candy red Ghost belonging to the female Hunter materialized and snatched the book mid-air with a beam of light."If you don't mind me asking, where is the location of this mission?" she asked him with a spirit of inquiry. She was curious to where it might be. She glanced over to her Ghost whom actually glowed with a tremendous amount of Light for a second or two almost like if he was giving her the courage to continue on. Nadia took a few steps towards the table whilst being mindful of giving the Vanguards some space."...I might be interested." she added with a hint of a smile."It is us Hunters who were the cartographers." she was starting to say, hoping that she would be able to sort of get the other Vanguard's approval for the mission."The Six Coyotes were a band of Hunters that explored past the walls of the Cosmodrome. We gained a lot of knowledge because of it. Information that helped us Guardians." she explained letting her gaze fall onto Cayde."While it may have not been the best idea to create a transmat zone on the Dreadnaught without approval...well...look where we are at now. We are so close to finding this Taken King. " she also added, before she got on with the point that she was trying to make."These expeditions are beneficial to our progress. Look how far we've gone. Our Light is stronger than ever." she concluded with a cheeky smile.

Roman tilted his head a little to the side when Akari made a comment of how these skinny little bots were just a bit grumpy when it came to someone interfering with their work."Imagine how that other guy with the broom is feeling." he added with a small smile. There were a few times in which he passed by that same bot that was scrubbing the floor with a broom. When the bot was nearly completed with wiping the floor clean, a Guardian with muddied boots most likely brushed past them."They'll probably be our robotic overlords in a couple years.Be nice to them." he said, but not actually meaning what he just told her.He walked alongside her while she explained what she received from Cayde. He nodded his head, content that she was able to find some gear so that she could continue on with field work if the Vanguards called for it such as being sent on strikes or to monitor certain areas for enemy activities. He slowed to a halt when she mentioned that she received the Knucklehead radar from Cayde. Really? He did? He looked over his shoulder back at the room where the Vanguards usually stayed at during the day.He then looked back to Akari with a small raise of an eyebrow."Oh no.He wasn't bluffing about it. Whatever you do, don't get rid of it." he told her, as he started to walk again."It's called an Exotic. They are the most rare items that you can possibly get your hands on. Very difficult to find or get from out of an engram. They usually have a special buff equipped with the item." he started to explain to her."It's not just pieces of armor. There are exotic weapons.Once again, very hard to find. You have no idea how much a Guardian would pay for one of these Exotics." he concluded. He led her over to one of the areas where a Guardian would be able to look out towards the Last City and the Traveler. He set one of his hands on the crisp white railing that felt cool underneath his gauntlet. His gaze drifted over to the Last City with this homesickness dwelling within him. So close to home.Finally. He looked over to her when she asked where the Guardians live. Actually not a bad question to ask."In the beginning, I had to live in my ship just like any other new Guardian.Trust me, it sucks. Limited storage space, and not much to work with." he started to say."There are housing complexes located in the Tower and the Last City. Some Guardians like to live in these complexes to give them something to come home to after a long day's work. Other Guardians prefer to live in their ships even though they can afford a place to stay due to having more freedom...or something like that." he also told her.He was silent for a couple of seconds, almost like if he was contemplating to say what was on his mind right now."...I have a place of my own. It's in the Last City. You are more than welcome to stay if you wish.I have a spare room." he told her with a dash of red appearing on his cheeks."I can show you. It's not bad. A lot roomy than a lot of other places. Two people live in this complex. Me and another Titan next door. When we were...I think twenty one...we converted this warehouse to a living space. Two completely separate apartments." he explained to her.

Without any more time wasted, Mina began to take some measurements using the measuring tape that she had resting on her shoulder. She measured certain parts of her body like the bust, waist, and hip area.Once she was done with these three measurements, she wandered over to her left where there was a desk with a few scattered papers strewn on the surface of the desk. She grabbed a pen and wrote down the measurements. With satisfaction, she turned to face Aurora and clicked the pen."Perfect.It should be a good fit." she told her. Using these three measurements, she was able to estimate the body proportions and accurately fit her with the right armor."It should be done in an hour or two.No biggie." Mina told her, as she sat down on the edge of the desk with the clipboard on her lap."Now,Aurora. Any specific colors?" she asked her, while she was starting to fill out some sort of form that served as a log. When the form was filled out and the order was completed, she would have to file it.That way, if the armor that she was to be given was damaged or rendered completely useless, they would already have her on file."I would recommend something that is not bright in coloration.Makes it easy for a Guardian to spot you.So...no lime green or candy apple red colors." she added, as she briefly looked up to the Warlock in front of her.She would be lying if she said that she wasn't the slightest bit curious about the warlock and her background.Usually, Rourke was hesitant to select someone to be on the team when they had a background of being a Guardian. She never understood the reasoning behind it.She assumed that it would be great, considering that they would know a whole lot more and were seasoned on the battlefield. Perhaps, he was afraid of being backstabbed? Like a double agent? Though, there seemed to be more than that. It might actually have to do with his past.
