SmallPool finished the small vole quickly and realized he had nothing else to do. He sighed boredly once again. An idea popped into his head. 'I could always go hunting' he thought to himself. He started to feel proud of himself as if he had defeated ten cats in a row, except he only made the simplest of decisions. He trotted out a camp clearly looking quite proud and happy.

Echostone cocked his head, half eager and half worried. "What is it?" He said, eyes rounding slightly. Whatever Shiningstar had to say, it must be a good one. Right?

Dawnstar nodded. "Thank you," she murmured heartily. "Now, who do you think can catch the most prey?" She smiled, but it was forced. A new Clan scent had been pressing against SunsetClan's borders, and the repeated patrols she sent out had made her weary.

Crashpelt twitched his whiskers, lowering himself to the ground. A rabbit had wandered into the territory from SunsetClan. He had to catch it. Echostone couldn't know that Smith hadn't died. Echostone couldn't know, that, in fact, Crashpelt was Smith.

once pineshade had dropped off the rabbit at the fresh-kill pile, she turned to the senior warrior who had offered her to go hunting with him and cheetahpelt. her whiskers twitched with the feeling of finally being able to do something, and she briefly nodded. "sure. i was waiting to be assigned to a patrol, but i guess that this works too." the she-cat padded over to the two toms, awaiting for one of them to start the small patrol that they had gathered.



"sorry," thrushpaw whispered guiltily, but his mentor had already turned over and fell back asleep. deciding that he had nothing better to do but wait, he continued his grooming outside of the cave, the sun's rays peeking through the trees and splattering his pelt with bright patches of color.

greyclaw sat in the warrior den, glaring at his sister in the clearing.

shiningstar blushed softly. "i've been meaning to tell you this for a long time... echostone... i... i'm in love with you..." she meowed, looking down at her paws.

[yeeee.]

"Dawnstar left just a short while ago, so patrols will not be assigned for awhile. But going out now couldn't hurt. I know the borders haven't been checked and thus remarked, and prey will flourish there due to the lack of cats scents," Shadeclaw mewed to Pineshade, before turning and exiting the camp, his bushy ebony tail high over his back, yellow eyes alert for any sign of danger as he ventured deeper into waveclan territory.

Hawkpaw saw movement in the corner of her eye. Turning, the petite molly's inquisitive teal eyes remained locked on Robinear's lips as she spoke. Lip reading was simply a way of life for her, and luckily, Robinear wasn't a particularly fast speaker, so she deciphered the faint, garbled words quite efficiently. "Yes. I am looking for Buckgorge." As the young molly spoke, she kneaded the ground in anticipation. She wanted to get out of this camp, to practice battle training and hunt, but her mentor was nowhere to be found. It was beginning to annoy the rather impatient molly. "Have you seen him?"

As SmallPool trotted out of camp he noticed a patrol forming. He stopped and turned around. 'Maybe I can join them!' he thought happily. He walked up to ShadeClaw. "You cats going on a patrol?" he asked. He was hoping he could join them since he loved company, it was always more fun that way. Way better than going alone to do something.

Echostone blinked. "Uh, wow," he stuttered, but he couldn't help feeling the same way. He looked down at his paws. He couldn't help thinking of Stonewhisker. What would the tom say if he found out? "I- I love you too."

also, for these future events, waveclan will be discovered and a tropical storm
is approaching! the two clans might have to join together to protect themselves
from the harsh journey ahead... let's just say, they definitely aren't the only
clans out there, and they're going to need help if they want to survive.

shiningstar looked into his eyes, her's brightening. "y-you do?"
