What's something that always makes you blush?
My best friend calls me sweet pet names >\\<

When people compliment me on something I'm secretly proud of.
I'm very shy about showing off things I created, so in the rare instances that someone gets a glimpse of my writing or art, compliments are a surefire way of turning me into a blushing, mumbling mess.

The wall.
Walls are a good start in case of a zombie apocalypse, but my room has four windows that zombies could break through, so perhaps I should consider relocating to a place with more wall.

To anyone: If you could make a new litter what would it be about?, even if you can't draw what would you think would be cute for a new litter?

I will never get sick of bird themes or technology-based pets.

What was your most awkward moment online when you were a kid?

I am good at shoving embarrassing things to the back of my memory, but something I remember is being eight or nine years old and desperately wanting to befriend this one mod on a site I was on.
She was very nice about it, though. (Well I mean, if you're responsible for modding a website for kids in the elementary school age range, you better be!)
Still, I still feel awkward thinking about it. I hope I didn't bother her too much, poor woman probably had enough work on her hands already.

To anyone: If you could create ANY new species what would it be?
To anyone: What do you think about a lion litter to adopt each month aswell?
To anyone: favorite pet on CS?

My wish for a bird species was fulfilled when we got chickens, but I'd love me some parrots.
The lions are neat I guess, but I don't favor them over other species. If lion litters were a thing they'd probably share a category with cats, just like how chickens, chameleons and dragons are in the hatchery. And just like I prefer chickens over the other two, I'd rather have cats than lions for the monthlies.

if you could change your (real) name, what would you change it to?

Amalia.
I do want this name change, I want it so much. But it is really difficult to get a legal name change in Germany. Unless you're transgender or have a "foreign-sounding" name, you're pretty much out of luck.
My current name isn't bad, but I feel disconnected from it. It's not my name, y'know? For all I'm concerned, I'm Amalia, and I introduce myself as such outside of environments where my legal name matters.

Mine was Science ^^

What was your first real life pet?

When I was little my family had three budgies, an aviary full of canaries (plus some quails), several chickens, and three golden pheasants.
My mother is very fond of birds, and passed that interest on to me. She taught me how to handle and take care of them.
Our canaries, quails and chickens didn't get all that much human interaction and were left in peace save for when they were fed and had their aviaries cleaned, but the budgies were tame and trained, and wonderful company.
The female pheasants were shy, but the male was rather attached to me, to the point of following me around.

To anyone: thought/opinions on lambs/sheep?
personally i think lambs are the cutest things ever, but i cant own one because i live in a small town with no yard space.

Our neighbours' son has a farm and keeps sheep, among other animals.
Our neighbours used to keep animals, too, before they grew too old for it, and their son would often have them raise lambs. So I got to see some growing up every year. I was allowed to help with feeding them on occasion.
There were some incidents where sheep managed to break through the fence and invaded our garden, which was hilarious to me, and less hilarious to my father, who enjoys gardening.
I like sheep/lambs. They're cute.

On a slightly related note, my boyfriend has a Pokémon OC who wears a sheep costume and is obsessed with Mareep. She's the cutest little thing ever and I love contributing adorable headcanons helping him develop her~

Dear Tess-Senpai

I'm not sure if anyone has asked you this, but, how on earth did you come up with the name Chicken Smoothie?

When I tell some of my friends who know nothing about CS what the name is, they're first reaction is, "Omg do you blend chickens?! Dude ew!"

Haha yeah most people find the name to be kinda gross. It's sort of a long story but I actually came up with the name when I was planning to make a different sort of website with it. It was meant to be a blend of a bunch of different things (a blend, like a smoothie) and I just loved chickens. The name really has nothing to do with the site now, but at least it's memorable :') we eventually added chickens as pets to the site after many years of people asking why a site named Chicken Smoothie had no chickens

Which dishes have you eaten? I love tikka masala!

My parents love Indian food so they cooked it a lot when I was growing up. My 2 favs are always tikka masala and butter chicken I've also tried a bunch of others like korma, rogan josh, madras, etc. I love all the other side dishes too especially kulcha and naan bread, and I looove samosas. Indian food is very popular in NZ

Lambs are adorable and so much fun, but I'm not such a fan of grown sheep. They don't seem to keep as clean as other animals, so I don't really wanna cuddle with a pet sheep xD

that's a tough one but I'd have to say llama farm. It'd be cool to have more alpacas on the site one day, but it might take away from the specialness of the store pets, so probably not the same lineart again!

yes I can think of a few examples... there are a few pets based on real life pets I had, and also my stuffed toy squid:


the squid was also inspiration for many CS items... and we released graduation cap and gown items when I graduated from university

in real life? Maybe something like a wolf x butterfly so we could have some sort of flying... butterfly... wolves....

Hmm that's hard... I liked a bunch of different cartoons but I don't think any in particular stand out as #1 fave. When I was a kid stuff like pokemon and digimon were quite new and cool but I didn't watch them for very long (although I loved the pokemon gameboy - DS games). I remember watching stuff like TMNT, power puff girls, cow and chicken, dexter's laboratory... etc. I don't still watch anything from my childhood though

Have you based a pet/item on something special in your life?

I've got a few that were based on real life things. :3

These two were based (somewhat loosely) on two of my neighbourhood dogs from when I was a kid, Sam and Bailey:


My 2011 staff dog was based on when I was going back and forth from my home in the mountains to my university in the prairies:


My two Slumber Party event ravens are actually based on two specific ravens, my pet raven Stevie Ray Vaughn and Lucian the wild white raven:


Several of the plush dogs I made this Christmas were based on real dogs, but this is the one who mattered most to me:

It was based on my Berner girl, Bee - sadly, shortly after it was made she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and she was put down a couple weeks after it was released, so it's kind of a memorial to her now.

Star Trek (original series) - I basically wanted to be Leonard McCoy when I grew up. X3 I think it was mostly the sense of adventure that I enjoyed about it, with travelling to unknown places and exploring them and all the different ways they'd find to get themselves in trouble. I don't really watch it anymore, mostly because I don't have TV and have also seen all of the episodes many times over, but I'm still fond of the show and its characters. ^^
