When he finally made eye contact with her, she almost wanted him to look away again. She felt his bright green gaze look through her, and she looked forward while thinking about her answer. "What I thought about..." She took a second to recall what happened moments before. "I was wondering if I was going to die, and I kept praying to Starclan. I thought about my parents and siblings, if I would finally reunite with them, and if they were watching me." I also thought about how I would feel not being able to see the clan, and yo-. She didn't say that part out loud, but kept it to herself. "What about you? You didn't almost die, but it must've been scary I would think."

The corner of the tabby tom's maw turned upward in a smirk. "I probably would've been thinking of the same things if I were you. If I'm being honest, my biggest concern when I was diving into the water was the fact that it was cold. And then I realized that I was going to get my fur dirty after I spent all day cleaning it. That thought really scared me. I think that I was worried about you at some point along the line," he tried to make a joke, but he had honestly been worrying about her. Cedarpaw wasn't sure how he would be able to live with himself if anything bad had happened to her.

"Poor little kit getting his fur dirty." She teased, giving him a nudge. "I think I'd be worried if I was in your paws too. No matter who it was; as mean as someone can be, drowning would be a horrible death, and no one deserves to suffer that much." She wasn't sure if that was one hundred percent. She had never met anyone cruel enough to deserve something like that.

Sandclaw sprang out from behind the bush, landing his paws on thin air. The squirrel's eyes seemed to widen in alarm but before it could have the chance to escape, he sprinted toward it and pounced onto it, delivering the killing bite and watching in satisfaction as the prey fell limp. He then began to dig a hole into the ground, placing the squirrel inside so predators couldn't find it as easily as they proceeded on hunting. Sandclaw scraped earth over the prey and then looked at Cloverwing happily. "Great chasing skills!" he praised, purring.

"That was pretty traumatizing. I deserve to be pitied after I got put into that situation. Maybe even fawned over," the tabby bemused sarcastically, his bright green eyes alight with humor. He then met her gaze again, his eyes widening a bit in surprise as he remembered the Darkforest cats that the clan had battled with many moons before. "Trust me, it might surprise you, but there are cats who are that cruel. You know, like a majority of the Darkforest cats," Cedarpaw mewed as he recalled the battle.
