So, I was wondering - how are Populars, Jocks, etc distinguished from each other in your diary? Is it just, like, a social symbol? In my diary, the main character's supposed to go on a rant about how all of this is unfair and yadda yadda yadda. But then I realised I never really bothered writing out the differences between them. like, do they have separate classes or what?

To me, jocks are the sportiest of the school, or whoever the queen bee thinks as 'cute.' Populars are those who the queen bee thinks is fashionable or something like that. Nerds are smart and reading and science are their fav. Emos are the shadows of the school body, never interacting. Outcasts are the queen bee's hated.

To me, there's actually no difference between them. It's just how the Queen Bee sees things.

I agree with lait. Except in my newest diary, things are different and the sortings are a little different.
The newbies are called into a room where Miss All Knowing sits, and then she asks them what their hobbies and likes are. She doesn't really care for attitude, but as long as they don't backchat or disagree with her, she's fine. It's a little harder to explain as I made 'Dear Sean' a little different- as in, Nerds are the top of the school.

I'm pretty sure that the ranking goes something like the Queen Bee makes all of the rules, and decides which ones apply to which cast. Like maybe only nerds are sentenced to extra homework while outcasts should always stick to the sidelines of the hallways or something.
