I look for a connection before adopting. If I don't automatically start thinking of personality ideas and little, random things about the character (like would they like ketchup on their fries or not? stupid stuff like that), then I usually don't try to adopt.

I own 15 makoatls, 11 males, 2 females, and a male semi-custom in the works and a female in the works too.

Before adopting, yes. Like my form for the Nightmares in Lilac free adopt, the original design went well with my boy Royce, and I wanted it and him to be mates.
I'm more drawn to blues, reds, oranges and greens makos as it seems.

Let's see, I have 22 (about to be 21) makos.. 13 female and 9 male, so nearly 1:1.
I relate more to females cx

I have 11 total, 6 are male and 5 are female. So 6:5.

I seem to have an easier time connecting to males it seems, i think this is because most of my friends are guys? I don't know, in all honesty I thought I had WAY more males then females but it's pretty much equal. I'm guessing that's because my comfort zone is M X F.

Yes, I usually get a small base personality and concept down before I try out for anything. Sadly, this is not fool proof and the connections fade.

I've currently got 8 Male and 5 female though I normally try to have more male. While I don't relate to one more then the other I defiantly find a higher liking to male makos then female oddly,

I defiantly look for connection before adopting though if I can find a name that works and a few words to describe them that's all I need honestly

Alex is a total bad boy mako. He is always trying to cause some kind of trouble to make some kind a ruckus. While he doesn't go as far as break the law he comes pretty close to it and has to rely on some of his friends to prevent him from doing so. He is usually pretty calm if nothing seems to bother him and if he has nothing to say he doesn't talk at all leaving him out of many conversations.

Willem // Male // 17 // Straight

Willem is a sweet talker. His good looks tend to normally get him somewhere but his words take him farther. He sometimes does have problems knowing when to stop or with how far is too far. He is normally very caring though and is a real sweetheart.

I'm so sorry for posting again so soon, but I got two new babies i absolutely need to gush over!! Linked because I can't post images on my iPad.

First up is my Cancer Zodiac Semi-Custom from Cole!!
I haven't figured out a name for him yet, but he has minor water powers and his tail renders him unable to swim, as it has limited movement.

Next is my flower baby who I have big plans for, but no name or gender just yet!

I have 13 makos and they're all male or identify as male.
I wouldn't say it's because I relate to males better, but the majority of my characters tend to be male. And I think it has to do with my asexuality.

I always look for a connection before. If I can't think of a character, I won't try out. This is especially true with my makos, as I've spent money on the majority of them. I don't want to just throw away money. Lol

I do normally. Sometimes I do impulse buy but I do end up connecting 90% of the time in the end. When it comes to free adopts, I only ever try adopting if I know Ive got some kind of connecting cause otherwise I cant come up with anything.

Ended up going through some of the archives and found a couple more makos which ended up being dreamies. And managed to get one of them. Though I possibly plan on using an item and making him grow?
