Hey guys, I got a random idea! What if we all did a huge collab where we each draw our first kamis? ;a;

I just uploaded all of my kamis to my dA, not including two of them since I'm waiting for growths x-x but oh man.

My lovely sinon was my first kami and I still love her as much as I did when I first won her.^^ Hopefully I can use her more with the species coming back to life.

Hey you guys! So I got started on my project in ceramics and I decided to do my first Kami with the feathered mane~
Here are some pictures!

@KiPotato Awesome work on the bobble head so far, can't wait to see more updates!
Also I'm in for the collab if others are - I'd just have to be farther down the list since I can't do much digital art (any really) with the packing.

As for the civilizations, what I see it is somewhat like this:
* mostly they live off the land around them, they don't necessarily build to remain (semi-nomadic)
* if they live in/around forests/trees, they used branches, mosses, fallen/dead trees, natural boulders and such to create shelter for the old and young, to store food, etc
* if they live in mountains they use existing caves for shelter and sometimes dig more elaborate systems if they find their group growing larger or needing to permanently settle
* for social interaction, I envision a complex hierarchy of individuals where everyone knows their place but can potentially find/earn a new position through hard work or even challenges
- a set of leaders, usually elders and maybe one younger able bodied individual - for wisdom, strength, and council
- other levels below that are organized by work and the skill of each individual, plus some miscellaneous jobs/roles

I'm currently on my phone (too sick/weak to get on my laptop) so forgive any spelling or grammar issues. Also when I get the chance I'll flesh these out more on paper and take a picture and post it here ^^

@KiPotato - Thank you! I need to show Nekura more love, poor girl. And I am very close to making those two official, just gonna think it over for another day or two I think.
As for the collab, I'm not an artist, so sadly I am out.
And that ceramics project looks amazing so far!

@wolfpuppies - Those are some interesting ideas, though I think the Hierarchy thing depends on the pack. The made up pack in the story of my Rukami works differently, but those ideas are good ones.

I finally started to work on developing Aria. A RU I won a while back.

I made up her personality and have put her in the same pack as Vanya, Kimimaro, and Marin. I am still trying to figure out where she belongs in the pack, but I did decide she will run way. For now, this is her personality:

Personality:
Aria is a sweet and quiet girl, very nervous and obedient, afraid to be punished for not doing her work properly or for getting on the bad side of one of the males of the pack. Even after she left the pack, she was still obedient to males out of habit, and very nervous around males. Around children or younger females, she is very friendly and enjoys watching over them and making sure they stay out of trouble. She loves the light, staying out and laying in the sun or enjoying the rays of sun through the trees. She hates the dark though, having been locked away in the dark when she was bad, she is scared of the dark and prefers to be out in the open instead of in enclosed spaces with the potential of getting trapped.

My first babe is Cinderella my baby <3
No matter how hard I seemed to try I couldn't win one of these cuties for myself and I'm obsessed with Cinderella the movie and I wanted to make a beauty off of her with the same name and relative personality but thats it //sort of envy her personality
Kakashi then made the most amazing Cinderella based Kami ever! //the crystal claws kill me <3

Ella- Her flower crown, she doesn't go anywhere without it.
Phoenix- Nothing he believes possessions make him weak, and doesn't want to have to worry about caring something around since he's a loner.

I also own my handsom boy Phoenix, who I'm actually looking for a relationship for and maybe Ella but for her I'll be picky...
I'm not just looking for them to have kits and I actually might not want that for a while I want some heavy RP and/or art relationship! Just PM me if interested and we can see about working something out c:

Aria may be looking for a relationship, but I am not so great at getting art right now, and school has made RPing a challenge, so I am unsure if you may be interested in testing them out even if things move slowly right now. (Would be a good opportunity to develop her further though.)

What's your Kami's most prized possession?
Vanya - Her bow. It makes her feel safe and was her only means of defence in her old pack. She won't go around males or strangers without her bow in fear of being attacked again.
Kimimaro - The red leather strips in his hair, given to him by a close friend who left the pack when he was really young. They were like brothers, but his friend could not stay. He removed the leather straps from his own hair, and tied them into the hair of the young Kimi, giving him something to remember him by.
Nekura - The purple beads that adorn her, once belonging to her mother before she died, now she wears them at all time in memory of her mother.
Marin and Aria - Neither have items right now, so I can not say what their prized possessions are right now. Maybe someday I'll think of something for these two.

What's your Kami's most prized possession?
Aislynn - sapphire which she has woven into a piece of vine jewelry on her body
Saoirse - she is not so sentimental as to want to have anything to adorn her or keep with her
Isoba - woven beaded jewelry that he's collected from his travels, signifying where he's been, those he's met, accomplishments, and so on
Kamau - his black cloak crafted for him by his sister
Hikaru - small earring from her mother
Senka - a bracelet woven by her mother from different colored items to represent their small family
Liridon - nothing yet, though with Aislynn as a mentor, something is bound to catch his eye
Arjana - nothing right now, as he's too young to have gotten attached to anything
Lesedi - same as brother above

Also, is there anyone who would like to be a surrogate parent for Arjana and Lesedi? I was going to adopt another Rukami, but I wouldn't mind developing another relationship with another user's 'kami to have a guardian role for them. It can be a parent, a guardian, a mentor, anything to watch over them essentially. Here they are~

So I made a write up of the organization of what I thought some clans/packs were like in the Rukami world. But as I was doing it, people's comments reminded me how hard it is to read my small handwriting. So, I decided to try and put it down here. We'll see how it turns out and if it makes sense. If it doesn't, worst case I'll figure out another way to chart it and convey an easy to understand graphic.
This obviously isn't something set in stone. These are just my thoughts and what I thought could be potential hierarchies for some or even just one clan of Rukamis.

Highest Branch - 1st Branch
Comprised of a Clan Figurehead, Elder(s), and Respected Individual(s)
* Clan Figurehead - not a typical figurehead, actually makes decisions and leads the group; however, isn't a single leader/dictator, must consult a council on any decision affecting the clan or more than a certain number of individuals
* Elder(s) - at least one respected, wise older individual to advise the figurehead
* Respected Individual(s) - at least one individual, not normally in elder status, who advises figurehead; can be year-round or just for certain decisions (war/conflict, famine, mating disputes, etc.)

2nd Branch
Comprised of the Food Gathering groups and Security Keepers - both are considered equals per level within this branch
* Keeper - organizes food stores, rations for individuals within the group, organizes patrols for getting food
* General - keeps track of all security measures for clan camp, organizes patrols for border patrols, gives input in times of conflict
* Collectors - head smaller parties to search - in shifts - different sectors of a territory for various sources of food so that no section is over-exhausted
* Patrol Lead - is head of small patrol - in shifts - around borders as well as throughout territory if other dangers are present (humans, large predators, large/loose boulder formations, etc.)
* Gatherers - members of gathering parties, follow a lead to a designated area within territory to collect different sources of food to nourish pack; sometimes gather herbs for healer
* Patrol Members - follow lead on shifts through/to designated areas for security of clan

3rd Branch
Compromised of those who look after the health of clan individuals (Healer, Trainee) and those who look after the well being of the young and old (Nurse and Aid)
* Healer - individual with most healing knowledge and experience, oversees health of any with ailments personally or through trainees
* Nurse - oversees care of young and old, ensures safe and clean environment for them to sleep and live in, manages others when there is a surplus of young and old
* Trainees - those interested in healing/testing their interest, fetch medical supplies, treat ailments under Healer's supervision
* Aid(s) - those who help Nurse in keeping young and old well taken care of

4th Branch
Compromised of those in the specialized crafts
* Crafters/Artisans/Specialists - those who make things for the benefit of the clan whether directly or through trade
* Apprentices - those training to specialize in one or more crafts under specific individual(s)

5th Branch
* Essentially a catch-all for all others who don't fall into other categories. The young, nursing mothers, elders not on the council, non-specialized individuals, etc. They're not treated as anything lesser, just have no specific ranking or title.
