Rainpaw frowned slightly, unaware of Streamthroat. "Is something wrong, Slashpelt?" The young tom asked in concern.

Splashpelt took a deep breath letting his fur flatten. "It was just setting I wish I had never seen" he said escorting the apprentice around the rock formation so his body was blocking any view of their clan mate. His goal now was to bring two apprentices back to the temporary camp safe. He was not about to see another cat of his clan join the ranks of starclan because of a stupid fire.

Rainpaw looked around. "Cherrypaw?" He called worriedly. "Cherrypaw! Are you out here?" A sense of unease was taking over the apprentice, clear to see.

"Cherrypaw!" Splashpelt called out. What would Crimsonwing say if he told her that her sister and her apprentice weren't coming back to her. Nope not gonna happen. "Cherrypaw! Please come out,your not in trouble for running off! Your siblings are worried sick!"

Rainpaw attempted to see if he could catch his sister's scent. No luck. The tom began to mewl in distress. "Cherrypaw! Where are you...?"

Splashpelt continued to follow the small set of pawprints hoping they would lead them to Cherrypaw soon. He could tell how badly this was upsetting Rainpaw. Placing his tail on the young cats shoulder he tried to calm him. "Deep breaths, we will find her" he said trying to be soothing but unsure how to do so

Rainpaw took a deep breath. He looked around. "Do you think Cherrypaw is alright..?"

"Rainpaw!" Cherrypaw ran up to the two, having heard her brother. She comfortingly rubbed her fur against Rainpaw's, to let him know she was there. "I'm so sorry, Rainpaw. I must have worried you..."

Splashpelt was excited to see Cherrypaw. A purr rumbled in his throat. "Good to see you Cherrypaw. Let's get back so we can report to Nightstar." He said then his mood shifted. 'And get a few cats to bring back Streamthroat.' He thought. "Let's go back a different direction so we can see what the fire did and did not touch.

The apprentice glumly nodded. She seemed to know about Streamthroat, as she sent Splashpelt a knowing glance.

Splashpelt felt Cherrypaw's gaze. "Rainpaw run ahead but be very careful. I need to speak with Cherrypaw" he said nodding ahead. "We will catch up." He added.
