Soo i finally was able to name my custom, her name is now Nova.
She is a princess living in a castle in the woods of Europe, she is secluded by herself, but its starting to get lonely.
So i want to develop a family, so she will be adopting orphans, and a mate, she is bi-sexual and tends to be very
fun an gentle, she loves cuddles and warm hot chocolate by a hot fire in the old months <3

I have 36 makos:
18 male; 16 female ; 3 undecided

I was really into having male makos for awhile and I guess I got really into having lesbian ships with Juliette so I've had a lot more female makoatls lately than I have males. It also kind of depends on appearance? I'm not really sure how I decide though l,D I just wanted to see what you guys though ;u;

Well, let's see.
I own 26.
1 female, 2 agender, 2 whose genders are a complete mystery, and the rest (21) are male. |D
I'm nonbinary myself with a masculine lean, so I guess that's why? Writing females/having female characters gives me anxiety due to ~personal reasons~ that're better left unsaid, lol.
My only lady mako is Bethany; she's Lestat's princess. My agender children are Raisha and Lakshmana, and then my cryptogender kids are my two Morties. (There are an infinite amount of genders in the universe-- u think either of them can decide on one? Lol)

I haven't posted here in a little while so heey let's introduce some stuffff

And this is Raisha! They live in Japan and are a Michelin star chef. They have had a penchant for food since they were a young mako, and are extremely passionate about it. On the weekends they like to go foraging for their own ingredients, and love going fishing on their days off. Their dream is to one day have children and foster the same love for food in them.

I've also gotten a lot of really nice art lately. ;;

I've actually got 2 female and 2 male right now, which is pretty surprising. I usually have waaaay more females as I prefer writing lesbian relationships. Since I'm bi with a huge lean towards females it just comes more naturally to me.

Do you look for a connection with a design before adopting, or do you let a connection establish over time?
This one depends a bit! If its a sale mako and I have the funds, I'll just grab it if there's at least a small connection. If its a trade or free adopt I'm a lot more picky about it. I don't need a totally fleshed out idea to trade or apply but if I don't have a solid foundation then there's no reason to bother.

I wasn't aware of the ratio being so unbalanced haha I mean I knew I had a few more males but I didn't know I had twice as many oTL

I don't relate to one gender over the other so I have really no explanation? Hahaha

In the past I used to let connection establish over time, but since I now have over 50 makos and my spending was for a while getting out of control, I try to avoid doing that now unless the design is something just perfect. I don't want to let a single mako of mine rot because I know the second that I do some people will accuse me of just hoarding makos or something. I want to avoid that label so I have cut back on purchasing/trying out

Now instead I only really try out for or buy makos where the spark of inspiration has already ignited. A connection has to be there before I even comment on the deviation. That way with all my newer makos I'll never lose the connection and have to sell/trade them away.
