Within a valley live two clans of cats: CypressClan and StreamClan.
CypressClan has lorded over the valley through countless generations.
Since before any cat can remember, CypressClan has been the one
and only clan in the area. While CypressClan ruled over the valley, it
was isolated from all other threats. Loners very rarely ever made
their way past the mountains, the only predators were the occasional
fox or badger, and two-legs being seen anywhere near the territory
was completely unheard of. In addition to that, the valley was almost
always plentiful with food and tragedy rarely struck. Because of all
these factors, CypressClan began to grow soft and relaxed.
Until about six moons ago, that is.

Six moons ago, a ragged group of felines found their way into Cypress
Clan's territory. Several of the cats were injured and all of them were
on the brink of starvation. These cats, numbered at around ten at the
time, claimed to be the lone survivors of another clan called Stream
Clan that had resided far from the valley. These cats told CypressClan
about how torrential rains flooded their camp and their territory,
sweeping away several of their clan mates and making their territory
mostly uninhabitable.

CypressClan took pity on this small group of cats, and after a full day
of discussion, it was decided that CypressClan's territory would be cut
in half, where a river runs through the middle of the valley. The larger
half of the territory would remain in CypressClan's possession, and the
smaller portion would be given to the remnants of StreamClan so that
they could nurse themselves back to health. The agreement, however,
was that once RiverClan was healthy and able to travel again, that
they would move on and continue their search for a new home. This
gift of a territory was only temporary. At least, it was supposed to be.

It has been six moons since StreamClan gained part of CypressClan's
territory. These newcomers are now fully healed and able to travel,
yet despite many warnings from CypressClan, these 'guests' continue
to lay claim to the supposedly borrowed land, and they are growing
more and more hostile to the former sole inhabitants of the valley.
Will it come to war? Will the Clans agree to share the land permanently?
Only time will tell.

Flarefrost is quite the she-cat. She is 44 moons old and she is the deputy of CypresClan. Flarefrost is rather pretty, as she is a mostly white calico, with patches of bright orange fur and dark, almost black patches scatter across the majority of her back, the top of her head, and her tail. Flarefrost's fur is of medium length, not too long to be a hindrance. She was given her prefix, 'Flare', for the bright spots of ginger in her fur. And she received her suffix 'frost' due to her white underbelly and legs. At least, that what she tells herself. In truth, Flarefrost received her suffix due her being standoffish and closed off during her apprenticeship. It was often that she was described as having a 'frosty' attitude, and it seemed to stick.

In addition to her pretty pelt, Flarefrost has large, dark teal eyes. They are an unusual mix of blue and green and often cause a second glance or two. Despite being at least mildly attractive, Flarefrost is not all surface. Beneath her exterior, Flarefrost is a diligent, dedicated, and determined warrior. She trained unbelievably hard during her apprenticeship and put everything, including her blood sweat and tears into becoming the best warrior that she could be. When she was younger, becoming the best that she could was all that Flarefrost could ever think about and that was all she ever worried about. She never became good friends with the other apprentices in Breezeclan or formed any close bonds. The only thing that she focused on, night and day, was training. And eventually, when she was 12 moons old, it had paid off and Flarefrost was given her warrior name. When she was made a warrior, Flarefrost was one of the most promising young felines in the clan and she was beyond proud of that fact. However, her unnerving focus on becoming her best self left the young she-cat lacking in other departments such as socialization, friendship, empathy, etc. After she became a warrior and she didn't need to focus every day, Flarefrost felt the lack of these things like a sharp pain to the gut and she realized how much she actually craved them. And so, Flarefrost tried to become social and to earn these factors that she so obviously needed. It took a long while, but the frosty feline eventually leaned how to interact properly with other cats and make friends and what not.

Flarefrost's determination to be her absolute best stems from her history, which is short and sad. Flarefrost's mother was a respected warrior by the name of Dapplefeather. Dapplefeather was a skilled warrior and a feline loved by the rest of the clan. Several toms within Cypressclan had their eyes on her, but Dapplefeather never lead on to being interested in any of them. One day, however, the she-cat was out hunting on her own and stumbled across a loner by the name of Kyper. Kyper was a handsome black tom with a charming smile and a flirtatious tone to his voice and it only took one conversation for Dapplefeather to fall head over heels for him. Dapplefeather was soon blessed with a bellyful of kits and tried to hide it from her clan mates as long as possible. But when her sides were bulging and she was obviously pregnant, the CypressClan warrior confessed her treason to the leader at the time. Obviously, this news was not taken lightly and Kyper was quickly chased from the territory, never seen in the area again. Dapplefeather, however, was allowed to remain in the clan but was shunned by the rest of her clanmates up until the night that she gave birth. The medicine cat, a very strict tom who took the warrior code beyond seriously, refused to help the treasonous warrior with her birth. One she-cat, another queen at the time, tried to help Dapplefeather but knew hardly anything of medicine. The birthing queen died shortly after giving birth to two kits: Flarekit and Wildkit. Wildkit followed his mother and passed away only a few minutes after his birth. All that was left was little Flarekit, who was taken in by the other queen at the time. Flarekit grew up alone, shunned by the majority of the clan. It was mild as a kit, but as she got older and became an apprentice, Cypressclan's distaste towards her became much more apparent. There was even talk of chasing her off because 'traitors only spawned traitors'. She was given a chance, however, and because of this Flarefrost concentrated every day of her apprenticeship training and striving to become the best that she could to prove to others, and to herself that she was not a traitor, nor was she someone to be tossed away and dismissed so lightly.

Sweetpaw is a she-cat. She is 9 moons old and she is a proud apprentice of StreamClan. This little molly is a cute little ball of energy and warmth. She is a brown tabby with medium-length hair and olive green eyes. She has white stockings on her back legs, and white toes on her front paws. Sweetpaw also has a white throat, chin, and mouth. Sweetpaw had a good start in life. She was the only kit in her litter, though she also had an older brother named Duststorm. Sweetpaw was born to a loving mother and father by the names of Silentpool and Foxclaw. The young molly had a good first three months of life. This would have continued if it had not been for the flood, however. When StreamClan's camp and territory flooded, most everything was washed away

along with half of the clan members. The clan members that drowned or went missing included her mother and father. Silentpool, Sweetpaw's mother, had been washed away in the flood. Her mate, Foxclaw, whom had been carrying Sweetpaw, passed his young kit off her older brother, Duststorm, and went back to try to save his mate. Sweetpaw was too young to remember clearly what happened, but all she really knows is that her mother and father were not found before the remaining members of StreamClan were forced to leave the territory. Despite losing her parents and her background, Sweetpaw lives up to her name. This little molly is immensely kind and sweet. She always gives of a warm, friendly energy and she is rather good at casual conversation. Like most cats her age, she is full of energy and is always wanting to play or train and just have fun in general. Due to her kindness, though, Sweetpaw can be a bit naive and overly trusting. She is an easy cat to take advantage of as she always tries to see the best in everyone no matter who they are or what their personality is. When it comes to her training, Sweetpaw is very eager and wants to become a powerful warrior one day. However, she is small and can be clumsy on occasion. She'll never become the best fighter or an exceptional hunter, but she always gives it her best and very rarely gives up.

Adderstripe is a tom and he is 36 moons old. He is a proud warrior of CypressClan. Adderstripe is a large, stocky cat with a tabby pelt and light green, piercing eyes. His fur is brown, and is overlayed with dark black stripes. The only white marking he has is on his chin. Adderstripe comes from normal, boring beginnings. His parents were both warriors of CypressClan. His mother was named Fawnwhisker and his father was named Fallowclaw. Adderstripe's parents were average warriors, both kind and loving towards each other and loyal to their clan. Adderstripe's mother was older when she gave birth to him, and she passed away during the kitting. Adderstripe never had a chance to get to know Fawnwhisker, but his father always told the tom stories of her. Adderstripe grew really close with his father, Fallowclaw, and was devastated when the old tom passed away at the age of 90 moons after developing a rather awful case of green cough. The large, stocky tom is a good hunter and a great fighter, though he has always been a cat of few words. His face is typically set on a look of distaste or a scowl, even if he is in a good mood. It's just how his face looks. Despite usually looking upset, Adderstripe isn't rude or mean, though nor is he overly kind.
