Cherryblossom twitched her whiskers in amusement. "We're going to see if we can scent any scent of intruders now, before we refresh the scent markers. If it's a day or so old, our scent will drown it out and we won't know there's an intruder."

"We'd scare it away. Kittypets think we eat bones, and if we say we do, they'll leave. Generally rogues want a fight, so we give it to them. Mostly loners keep to themselves, so if we let them know they're on our territory they'll leave." Cherryblossom replied.

"It's probably something our ancestors told them to scare them away, and they've remembered and warned their kits, and then when their kits grow up they warn their kits, and so on. Just like we pass down the warrior code, they pass down that silly superstition." Cherryblossom explained.
