That's Arcaii's tablet, if anyone was wondering

Mary. Mary. You are hired. I don't know what for, but you are hired.

You should post more stuff up here, man, I love those pictures (excellent Plumheart design, by the way, to Comet, and excellent interpretation to you, Mary).

Thinking a little more about that RPG idea (which I will henceforth refer to as "The Forest Project", or TFP) this afternoon. Feel free to ignore this, I just need to get these ideas out before I forget them.

I might have mentioned this before, but there's a town near the forest - not a particularly huge one, but a pretty milquetoast coastal town with just enough people to bring in rats, dogs, cats, and exotic plant life. If you'd like a visual example, think Mendocino, California, which as a general location is the main inspiration.

Anyway, word comes to the city of a forest of prey animals taking up arms against their predators, and rumors spring up that they've actually succeeded in killing a few cats (or something like that). The idea of a fear-free environment is almost too good to be possible, but a few bold city animals have struck out to stake their claim and assist in the war. This is where rats and squirrels come in, mostly, but we'll cover them in another post.

Of course, with this sudden influx of foreigners, diseases, xenophobia, and unfamiliar magic are bound to follow. The rats are constantly at ends with the amphibians, the squirrels are paranoid of every little movement, there's these weird fungal things that keep showing up and murdering litters in their homes, everyone can get sick really easily and have no way to combat it, to say nothing of the necromancy (another neat little parlor trick brought by the crows), and then there's those stupid cults that keep coming in and trying to burn down the entire forest to preserve the "circle of life" or whatever...

It's a mess, and one that the player can either help untangle or add fuel to. Do you want a party of cultists, or a guild of hired knights? That's up to you.

Half-serious, half-just getting amusement out of scaring the daylights out of the stupider creatures.

Whoever's submitting Chaster asks multiple times over, careful. You'll run out of asks in a while.

Umm mum mum mum muuuum

*tucks herself back away into the corner*

As the crows if you are feeling witty enough you could even pull a jungle book, control a whole murder, and while they are wreaking havoc on the town, two will be perched on the tree above going

"Ey Flaps, what we gonna do?"
"I dunno, what you wanna do?"

And so on
