How long did it take you to relearn how to walk if you don't mind me asking?" The white Maine Coon asked looking up at the tom still seeking curious. Actually, she was in quite a mix of emotions ranging from sympathy to curiosity. Dovesplash brought the paw Arthur had lifted up closer to her so she could investigate it. Well he was right for sure, claws were gone. What was she doing looking so close as a cats paws?! Well, Dovesplash had to admit it wasn't any ordinary tom's paws, it was a handsome tom's paws. The she cat shook that thought out of her head before gently setting the paw back down on the ground.

Lilypaw looked up at Reedstar with glowing gratitude. "Yes, you're right. It just doesn't feel right going to the Star Bush without Oakflower beside me." She sighed. The fæ began to pad up a steep but short slope as she followed the path her and Oakflower used to follow. Lilypaw's chest tightened as her paw slipped into a dint in the grass. The pawprint was larger than her own, but it was impossible for it to belong to Oakflower since she hadn't been here for a moon or so. Suddenly the medicine cat apprentice felt fur brush against her and a familiar scent drifted towards her. Lilypaw looked beside her but saw nothing except the fern fronds curling over her back.

Shadowcast pricked his ears to hear the ceremony from the nursery. His eyes widened as it was announced that Oakflower was dead. With a dip of his head, Shadowcast whispered. "Lilypaw will be an excellent medicine cat." Before hearing more names. "Must be a warrior and apprentice ceremony." He added.

Duststorm let out an oof as he was tackled by his apprentice. Looking up at Spottedpaw, he chuckled. "Almost 12 moons." He teased before gently shaking her off and sitting up. "Actually, I was planning on giving you an assessment tomorrow. It will not be your last, but I would like to see where you are at." He told the smaller she cat before standing. "You should get some rest." He instructed.

Minnowash brushed her muzzle against Spottedpaw's gently in farewell. "See you later." She mewed before following Lilypaw out of camp. This part of the territory was unfamiliar to her, since she'd never taken it before, but the scenery was beautiful. The leaves on the trees were thicker and healthier, the fern fronds were lush and green and the grass beneath her paws was soft and tickled her pads. It was completely different to the other section of the territory.

Whitekit was confused at all of the sounds around him, but he kept silent. After all, the tiny kit was exhausted. Curling up next to his sisters, he fell asleep.

Arthur sat as Dovesplash studied his paw and set it back down. "Well, it was strange at first because when I went into the garden to talk to Tiger, I-" he stopped before looking at the white she cat. "Tiger is my best friend, the cat that lives next door." He explained, wondering if she had ever met the handsome ginger tabby. "So, it was strange because when I went into the garden to speak with him, when I jumped onto the fence, the wood was slippery so I tried to unsheathing my claws to dig them into the wood to heave myself up but.." He paused for a heartbeat. "But when I tried to dig in my claws, no claws came out, so I fell from the fence and onto the grass. Tiger called me a mousebrain but supported me through it." He gave a faint chuckle at the memory before his tone turned deathly serious. "I envy him. He still has his claws."

The tom then bounding down the cobble path to the gate and jumped onto it. "I have practiced my jumping so I can jump higher and my aim is better, so I don't really need my claws." Arthur explained, tail raised as he signalled for Dovesplash to follow. "Careful, although the gate is shut, it wobbles." He advised as he jumped down onto the more prickly grass below.

• Dovesplash gave a happy trill in reply to Arthur's words to her. She followed his instructions and leaped up three fourths of the way up. She climbed up using her claws and balanced herself on the gate. It certainly was a bit wobbly but the she cat had no problem with it. She leaped down before giving a smile to Arthur. "So where do you want to walk? I mean we could also just go to wherever our paws take us too."
