Applestorm coughed as his lungs began to sting. Turning his head, he spotted Hawkfang. "Hawkfang! What are you doing here! You need to get out!" The deputy mewed, his chest heaving with the effort. When he looked at the log, he turned back to Hawkfang, his eyes growing misty. "I can't let you die!" He insisted, mainly because he thought it impossible to move the log with just two cats but also because Hawkfang had been Applestorm's mentor when he was an apprentice, and it would kill him to know he was gone. When he heard that Echowhisker was still trapped inside, he leaped toward the log, new energy surging through him. "Quick!" He rasped, every breath being ripped from his lungs.

Fawnpaw looked at Timberpaw's limp body, eyes beginning to grow misty. She blushed as Fallenpaw pressed against her, looking up at him with green eyes full of hurt. "But I didn't save her!" She looked back at her paws, tears falling from her face. She buried her face into Fallenpaw's white shoulder, ears pinned back. If only she'd gotten the honey soon enough... No. If only she hadn't worried about her herbs and just evacuated the camp, Timberpaw would still be alive. Her heart dropped and guilt washed over her as she realised she was responsible for Timberpaw's death. It was all her fault...

Rookfur panted and dropped amberstripe calling to the clan " look after her " before limping at high speed back to the clan , thinking ' I think some cats were missing , I must help find them ' she gasped as she saw camp , half swallowed up by the fire , she could hear the faint sound of cats calling out , she sped up , now knowing it was applestorm' voice

He worked along with Applestorm until the løg moved just enough that Echowhisker could get through. "GO ECHOWHISKER," he yowled harshly. The old tom heaved out each breath with enormous strength, and his limbs wobbled. "Applestorm, you were my best apprentice that I trained. You have become a deputy as strong as the first of this clan, and I think of you as my kin. My time is almost up here, but when it runs out, I will be watching you in StarClan," he croaked, waiting for Echowhisker to run out. He knew he wouldn't make it through this, but he needed to be with his clan when he faded. "As soon as Echowhisker is cleared, we need to get back to camp. His eyes were very weak as he touched his nose to his old apprentince's forehead.

When she saw Hawkfang race back into the camp, she padded after him and grabbed up Chervilkit when he picked him out. "Thank you Hawkfang, I'm so grateful to you," she yowled, before racing off to the other cats in the safe area. Her kit was crying as she cleaned the soot and ash off of him.

He cried as Hawkfang took him away from Echowhisker. "Safe him too," he cried as his mother took him to the safe spot. He whined and cried slightly as she cleaned him.


Comfreypaw tags;; Hawkfang, Timberpaw, Fawnpaw[i]
She cried out in pain, and went to lay next to Timberpaw. Ivyfrost was already there, pain radiating from all around her. The she-cat pressed against Ivyfrost in a comforting manner, hoping to comfort her slightly.

Her eyes dialated as her young apprentice lost her life. She yowled in pain, echoing across the forest. She had loved her apprentice, and practically thought of her as kin. The fæ fell to the ground beside her and began sharing tongues with her for the last time. "You're with StarClan now, but I wish you didn't have to leave so soon. It wasn't your time, you had so much life," she whispered, laying her head against Timberpaw's body.

She mewed, but didn't resist. She wanted her brother as much as her mom did.

"No-one could have saved her, not even Larkfeather. Fawnpaw, you were just trying to do good for the camp, please believe me," he mewed, resting his tail on her shoulder. The tom knew Fawnpaw had feelings for him, and him for her, but it could never be. She was a medicine cat apprentice and he would never break the warrior code. But he needed to be there for her now, she needed him to.

Echowhisker started hyperventilating, but looked around desperately, before taking the kit from hawkfang, and scrambling out, looking back one last time, murmuring a small 'thank you' as he did so. he started to squint, but tried the best he could to get out as safely as he could with the kit.

The fire was doused out by a jet of water just as the ring of flames was about to close up around him and the scent of twoleg became clearer. Frightened, he fled towards Amberstripe and Rookfur. "I need to get you two to Larkfeather and Fawnpaw!" He exclaimed. They looked exhausted. He was exhausted. I hope Sunrisewing is okay...

Cinderstar - Female - Mood; Worried, Scared, sad - Where; Camp - Tags; Hawkfang and Applestorm

Her eyes widened as twolegs began to wipe the fire away with douses of water. She raced towards Hawkfang and Applestorm. The she-cat examined them quickly. Hawkfang was covered in burns and looked exhausted. "Hawkfang! You can't go on any longer. I will do this,"The blue-grey she-cat insisted ordered sharply. Please StarClan, don't let any other cats die! She thought, using all the strength she had left to try to push the log. Her muscles were seething with pain, but she couldn't let her clanmates die.

Sunrisewing - Female - Mood; Worried, scared, sad - Where; Medicine Cat's Den - Tags; Fawnpaw and Ivyfrost

Flames still crackled at the base of the medicine cat's den. Sunrisewing's stinging eyes widened at the sight of Timberpaw's body. "T-Timberpaw,"she stuttered, and her throat when dry. She spotted Ivyfrost. She hung her head over the apprentice's body. "She was too young..." The cream tabby croaked.

The old tom nodded, racing after Echowhisker into the safe space. His legs gave up on him as he reached a spot, and he heaved in breaths of clean air. Burns and cuts bled all over his body, and his vision was slowly getting worse. "Fawnpaw, clan, it is my time. In all my 80 moons, I have never been so proud of my clan as I am now. Cinderstar and Applestorm will continue to lead you well. If you could, could you bury me near my fallen mate?," he took a shaky breath, not sure how much longer he had left to stay. But, he needed to know if he would get to rest beside her.

The queen greeted Echowhisker kindly, and cleaned his face. "Thank you so much for taking care of him," she purred, her kits huddled beside her. When she spotted Hawkfang, she raced towards him. "I really wish you didn't have to go, I'm so thankful to you," she cried, pushing her head gently against the elder. "I'll try and see to your wish."


Chervilkit tags;; Echowhisker
The little kit wobbled up to the burnt body of Hawkfang and mewed,"Thank ywou so much. I weally want to be as gweat of a warrior as you awre. I want my name to be Hawkpaw or Echopaw, I want to be as great as you two."


Comfreypaw tags;; Hawkfang, Timberpaw, Fawnpaw[i]
Her eyes and spirit fell more as she learned that Hawkfang was close to death. She cried and went to lick his head, he had told her many a story as a kit and guided her when she most needed it. "You taught me so much.."


Ivyfrost [i]tags;; Timberpaw, open to interact with others as well
First her apprentice, and then Hawkfang. All of the cats were startled by the two-legs, but they were safe from them. Her ear twitched as she acknowledged Sunrisewing. "She was so full of life, and she was learning quick...she would have been a fine warrior," she cried, laying her head back on Timberpaw's side. Each breath she took was shaky, and she wished StarClan could have taken her instead.

The kit was crying, and stayed with Echowhisker as her mother and brother went to see Hawkfang.

She was too sombre to reply as Hawkfang's battered, burned, and scarred body entered the den. Her throat got dryer and she just nodded. She let out a grief-stricken cry and hung her head.

Amberstripe jolted awake as she smelled the scent of smoke. Then she realized..." Rookfur! Where is she? Where am I what happened?" Then, she saw that most of the cats were missing in the clan. She tried to move to the medicine cat's den, or at least it's base, but everything hurt. She saw Sunrisewing and Ivyfrost standing above a lump of pale bracken fur. She then got up, which was extremely painful and then managed to walk slowly to the lump of fur. "What's going-" Timberpaw's body then made her realize that they were mourning. She then saw the body of Hawkfang, which made her want to collapse right on the spot. [i]No. I have to stay.... strong... But they're dead!/i] She just let out a horrid wail echoing through the scorched clearing. She then collapsed, what she didn't want herself to do, but she did it anyways. She was to grief stricken to listen to any reasoning. She just lay there, looking at the dead bodies of her clan mates.

Applestorm
Applestorm felt his eyes grow misty but he was relieved when Echowhisker escaped. He left the burning camp with Hawkfang before looking at him for a final goodbye. "You taught me more than any other cat could ever teach me, you helped me climb the ladder to where I am now. I could not have gotten this far without you, and you will forever be in my heart and I will never forget you." He mewed before pushing his nose to his old mentor's shoulder. "We will bury you beside your mate, and hope you find good sanctuary in StarClan."

Fawnpaw
Fawnpaw looked at Fallenpaw before nodding. "But she was only young," she murmured, dipping her head over Timberpaw's burned and lifeless body. "She had so much life to live, she was taken too soon.." The fæ looked up at Silverpelt before flattening her ears. She shuffled closer to Fallenpaw, taking comfort in his warmth.
