What do you mean, art? Do you have trouble making lineart? If that's the case, I suggest looking up pictures of real fish/wings/etc and or pictures of pixel fish/wings/etc to use it as an idea for the anatomy and design C:

Oh geez, I didn't mean to say Butterfish at all. Darn auto correct But let's be honest, I might try that… It would be pretty majestic. XD It's not the line art or anything, I can do that just fine, but I can't do, or don't know how to do, transparent backgrounds and sizing. I mean, canvas size. My program only lets it be so small.

I'm not sure how to help you with that, then Cx
I guess try to avoid overly small pixel designs? Unless your program doesn't allow small designs at all.
With transparent backgrounds, I usually use the site Lunapic (if you go to the edit tab and find Transparent, it'll let you click on a color in the picture to make transparent- ie, white.)
If you're not willing to use another site just for transparency, then idk xD After all, I only use MS Paint. Ha ha. living the low life even though I have gimp

Make sure you save the file as a .png (or .gif), if you already have a transparent background this will insure it stays transparent.

MunchkinTheMunch I did a bit of google searching for you, this is a simple trick that works with mangastudio 5, not sure what version you have.

I do seem to have mad google skills, I find things for people quite often.

I have no idea why it would do that. May I ask what version you have, I may be able to find something you can do.

I can't find much in regards to EX 4, I came across a forum and was reading a bit of it. Someone mentioned that MS EX4 doesn't export to .png, that they just saved it as a file to transfer to gimp or photoshop to make it transparent. So you may have to use the same thing that satyn uses.

does anyone here use Piskel XD i'm trying to get it to export something but i can't figure out how to do that and keep the transparent background
