Hermione sat at the Gryffindor table, with her text book open in front of her. She couldn't help but look up to meet harry's eyes. She had a feeling of worry, she wanted to say something to him. "Harry, please tell me you didnt put your name in the Goblet of Fire." She said, she wanted a normal school year. Just one was all she was asking for. Even though that was asking for so much. Through all their school years, they never seemed to keep themselves out of danger. She saw Neville a few seats away, scooting down she looked to Neville. "Don't worry Neville, Dumbledore is here and hes the greatest wizard of all. I'm sure the tournament is extremely safe." but even she had a uncertainty in her voice. "However, we need to get with Tomas before next charms class." she replied, taking her mind off the tournament with thinking of her group homework.

Blaise sat next to Juliet, with Crabbe, Goyle and Draco. They were in small conversation with one another about the tournament and other things on their mind. "Well I guarantee my name will be picked. Just think about it Jules, you and I a team. We'd be unstoppable." Blaise noted, thinking about the tournament. Julietta gave a shake of her head. But the two were then distracted by Crabbe and Goyle who pulled out a muffin from each of their robe pockets. Juliet gave another shake looking at those two "Do you ever stop eating?" Crabbe and Goyle stopped stuffing their face and then put their leftovers back into their robes. Soon the whole hall began to fall silent.

Dumbledore sat at the head of the table, he watched as the houses were all talking among one another. He waited, soon standing to his feet as he walked to the golden owl podium. The noise soon died away almost instantly as he stood up to his feet. His aging eyes twinkled, as he looked to all the students. “Quiet, I have a small announcement to make. Now, the feast will begin after all the champions have been called. However, once dinner is done, I ask each and everyone of you who are not partaking to return to your common rooms. For it will be past hours by the time we are all done here. Well, the goblet is almost ready to make a decision.” Said dumbledore, “I estimate that it requires one more minute. Now, when the champions’ names are called, I would ask them please come up to the top of the Hall, walk along the staff table, and go through into the next chamber—” he indicated the door behind the staff table. “Where they will be receiving their first instructions.” He added.
Dumbledore pulled out his wand and gave a great sweeping wave with it. At once, all the candles had extinguished, plunging them all into a state of semi-darkness. The Goblet of Fire now shone more brightly than anything in the whole Hall, the sparkling bright, bluey-whiteness of the flames almost painful on the eyes. Everyone was watching, and waiting. The Goblet suddenly turned red and sparks began to fly from it. Next moment, a tongue of flames shot into the air, a charred piece of parchment fluttered out of it. The whole room gasped.
Dumbledore cause the parchment in his hand, extending the piece out in front of him reading the name, soon looking up to the crowd. There was silence. “Tomas Jones,” he called out. The Goblet soon spit another piece of parchment out, grasping a hold of it, “Ray Fitzgerlad,” he called out. The students screamed with joy at the names, soon going quiet once the Goblet was ready for another name. “Aaron Clearwater,” the goblet gave another spit, “Darren Rockefellar.” Once more the students all chimed in with joy. The Goblet soon returned to its normal state, its glowing blue light. For the Goblet was waiting to pick the last four champions. Searching.
The red flame shot out, Dumbledore had caught the charred parchment, “Eira Morvant” He called out, again, the goblet went red, “Ariadne Evergreen.” The group of students cheered again. The Goblet gave one last spit of red flame, shooting out the last two parchment pieces. Dumbledore caught the last two names, “Julietta Thorn and Harry Potter.”
