♕ .JEKALYN ASIALIxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx( ❝ the smart ❞ )xx( ❝ location; healers place // tags; cedric ❞ )Rather patient, was the princess. The same could never be said about the royal guards flanking her. It had taken the snake-sword guard all of five seconds to raise his fist again, to which Jekalyn tapped his hand and shot him a glare. His skin was practically blazing, infuriated by her earlier audacity. The guard shook her hand free, growled down at her, and waited. Jekalyn, at least, felt a swell of pride at her victory.
The door opened not a moment too soon, the guards seemingly appreciating the healer's diligence. (It was true: if not for the bow, he may have lost a hand.) Jekalyn's head was dipped respectfully, nodding her own greeting while the two guards simply huffed a 'morning'. At Cedric's kind invitation into the healer's house accompanied with his welcoming guesture, the princess smiled. Every precious second away from the over-protective guards was time well spent in her eyes. Though, she did wait for Cedric to turn his back and disappear into the adjoining rooms before daring to address her guards.
"I should check the files," she directed her small voice towards the lead. "Will you await me in the carriage?"
"You are pushing at a fine line," his hand flexed at his side.
Calmly, she responded, "And do you wish for a return trip if I detect a discrepancy?" Of course, Jekalyn didn't expect there to be any, Cedric's files were always on-point, up to date and written out in a fine hand. The silver-tongued princess knew the exact words to say, it seemed, and they couldn't exactly argue with her logic. They'd rather be training in the castle ground than escorting her back here because they had not given her the necessary time, anyway. At least a sword held more things to say than the stubborn princess.
The duo finally relented and returned down the path; leaving her to wander inside. Delicately, she closed the door behind her with a soft click. Unsure of how far to venture into the room, Jekalyn hovered around the door, her gaze flickering to a small assortment of plants dotted around the empty waiting area as decoration. No doubt Cedric housed the more precious plants further in the depths of the house, tucked safely away from the hands of patients. I understand. Upon his return, Jekalyn gratefully accepted the documents, browsing through them with a keen eye. "I thank you, they all seem to be in order." she nodded, flicking past page after page. She paused for a long while; taking her time to observe the documents while bathing in the solace she gained from silence. Quieter than a thief in the night, one would think the princess had ceased breathing altogether. The only sound from her were the subtle rustle of papers. Naturally, the files were perfect: Right down to the T. Smiling, Jekalyn tucked them away beneath her arm. "There is another item, if I may?" she murmured.

Jekalyn 】Royal guards were never Cedric's favorite people to deal with, but he remained polite as always, despite their rude attitude toward him. When he returned to the room with the medical files the princess needed, he was mildly surprised to find her standing in the room alone, no guards accompanying her. The healer stood by patiently and quietly as she looked over the files, his deep brown eyes lightly rested on her as he waited to see if there was anything he might have missed. After a few moments, she looked up and told him they all seemed to be in order. A light smile appeared on Cedric's face and he gave a small nod. "That's good." He turned and gave a small potted plant an equally small push, since it looked like it had been moved toward the edge of the small table it was sitting on. Then he heard the princess speak again, and turned back to face her so he could hear better. He raised his eyebrow a small bit at her answer to his second question about if there was anything else she needed.
Giving a small smile again, he said, "Of course. What can I get you or help you with?" Cedric straightened up and folded his arms as he waited now to see what she next wanted. There was maybe a moment of quiet after he finished speaking, and then there came a knock at the door. He was pretty sure he wasn't expecting anyone today, so maybe it was another patient. Unfolding his arms, he dipped his head in a polite manner and said, "'Ah, excuse me for a moment." Cedric turned and headed toward the door. As he reached it, he heard a familiar voice, slightly muffled, come from the other side. "Cedric?" It didn't take him much more than half a second to know it was Morrigan.
Turning the doorknob, he pulled the door open and found himself, no surprise now, face to face with the youngest Asiali sister. Knowing the guards were still in the carriage, he gave a polite bow and said, "Hello, princess. Come on in." Then he stepped back to let her pass. The guards may not be Morrigan's, but he had a feeling they'd still somehow maim him if he didn't show the right courtesy to another member of the royal family. He wasn't one who liked things to be too formal and normally he didn't find he had to be all that formal with Morrigan, but he certainly knew his manners and when to use them, and no matter what, he always made sure to treat everyone with respect. Truth be told though, Cedric wasn't sure the guards out in the carriage were even watching.
ooc | Sorry for the short post. I've got writer's block and wasn't sure what else to write.

♕ .JEKALYN ASIALIxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx( ❝ the smart ❞ )xx( ❝ location; healers place // tags; cedric, morrigan ❞ )At least Cedric appeared pleased with his work on the medical records. It gave Jekalyn a sense of hope for humanity; if only more of the business dealers were as thorough as the healer, it would practically nullify half of her duties! Give her some time to read up on the Fey. The thought instantly drew her back to the books she had hidden in the carriage, fitfully praying her guards didn't confiscate her new acquisitions. Jekalyn didn't respond with words, rather a nod that spoke of her appreciation. Her gaze flickered to the little plant Cedric offered a helping hand to, admiring the healthy glow of it's leaves. Murmuring it's scientific name under her breath, she gave a smile.
Jekalyn's hand snapped up to her throat, clutching at the skin at her neck with something akin to anxiousness. With a clearing of her throat, she made to speak. "Well, I," Truth be told, she'd read into plants and their certain medicinal qualities, and was going to ask if Cedric knew a way to lessen the appearance of the scar etched at the base of her neck. She held an increased awareness of her surroundings in her worried state, and the sudden knock of the door caused the princess to flinch and shrink away. Her heart missed a beat, eyes darting to the frame of Cedric's door. Concern washed over her features once it became apparent it was only her younger sister, Morrigan. At first, Jekalyn surveyed her little sister or any injuries with her eyes, only allowing herself to relax once she was sure Morrigan was well. Sudden relief had her eyes fluttering shut.
Daring to gaze past the silhouette of her sister in the doorway, the quiet princess noticed a lack of Morrigan's assigned guards; and instead; a horse sat in their place. She let herself sigh contently, glad her own guards seemingly hadn't noticed her arrival. Oh, it would not go down well once they found out.
[no worries! it happens to all of us c:]

The Beauty > Location: Cedric's Hut > Tags: Cedric & Jekalyn > xxxxxMorrigan rubbed her hands together, worrying ever second she was in front of the door that the guards would turn their heads toward the hut and see her unaccompanied. They would get so angry, all the guards always got mad when she was alone. She hated having an escort though. Her head quickly snapped up from staring at her hands as the door was opened and Cedric stood in front of her. Flashing him a happy smile she slipped into the hut as he invited her in. "Oh silly, you don't have to be so formal with me," Morrigan giggled out as she reminded him that their familiarity with each other deemed formalities unnecessary.
xxxxxTaking a few steps inside she turned on her heel to face Cedric, completely oblivious to her sister just a few feet behind her. "I see you aren't that busy, I uh, didn't bring any herbs today but I thought I could stop by and say hello," Morrigan admitted as her gaze drifted down to her feet, her cheeks flushing to a light red. She always got so flustered around the healer. He was just so selfless and kind, Cedric was such a good guy and he was so nice to her. Slowly looking back up she gave a shy smile, "so how are things?" She asked the dark haired man.[Sorry, terrible writer's block at the moment ;-;]

FENRISÚLFR HAYWARD - THE HUNTER
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬xxxxx(gender; cismale)xxx(age; 24)xxx(n. names; fenrir, feni, fen)xxx(mood; apprehensive)xxx(location; forest)xxx(tagged; caoimhe)"traitor..." fenrir muttered as he shot a playful glare at lyuka. the she-wolf snuggled up next to caoimhe as if she were indeed fen himself. it had really been entirely the wolf's decision for fenrir to trust caoimhe. he found that the beast's intuition was to be trusted much more than his own. while he lived in accordance with mother nature, fen was still human, meaning he lacked the sensitivity to changes like that of a wolf.
the young man stroked his stubble thoughtfully as he contemplated caoimhe's words. dreams, she said. the single word brought back memories lingering from previous nights' sleeps and the odd visions they brought, figments of his imagination, or at least, that was what he assumed. he should have realized that the chance that he was capable of conjuring up such bizarre dreams was beyond slim. a nudge against his hand from lyuka's damp nose returned fenrir to reality. the hunter blinked up at caoimhe, deep blue gaze studying the girl's face before replying slowly, "dreams, huh? it's kind of funny that you say that," his voice softened as he rubbed the back of his neck. "i myself have been having odd dreams, and they are indeed recurring. same ol' voice telling me the same ol' thing. i don't even know what it's supposed to mean," the brunet shrugged helplessly at the princess. "i think dreams are silly like you say, but i don't think you're being foolish for mulling it over. once, twice, sure, it's just a dream, but many times... i guess you could say that maybe even i'm starting to get suspicious," he added with a light chuckle. the man picked up a few dried leaves and crumpled them in his hand before letting the fragments fall back to the earth. that was how the earth worked. she created things, let them grow, then destroyed them to return to her embrace.
at the mention of the fey king, fenrir stiffened. lyuka let out a small grunt of displeasure and shifted in her spot. now, fen wasn't the most well informed gent about what was going on with other people and the kingdom itself, but he certainly knew the fey king. it was just a name he could not help but recognize. eyebrows furrowing, he breathed, "that's when they started, eh?" he returned his attention to breaking up dried leaves, staying silent for a moment while he evidently attempted to wrap his brain around what caoimhe said. after a few heartbeats, he threw his arms up and exclaimed, "bah, maybe we shouldn't be worryin' about it. it's probably nothing. you're probably just bothered by the presence of the fey king. you ought to get your mind off of it all. i bet your mind's just playing tricks on you for being under a lot of stress and whatnot." the hunter rose from his seat on the ground, dusted off his pants, and gestured at the forest with a nod. he offered her a faint smile and asked, "the wildflowers are in bloom now in the clearing. most of 'em are perennial, so if you want to see 'em, you should check them out now. want to come? i'm sure your sisters would like some flowers to brighten up your place - not that i know what a castle looks like inside." fenrir whistled for lyuka, signaling that he was about to depart. if caoimhe had her duties to attend to, fen wasn't going to stop her, but he did want to relax a little since things were probably getting tough in her life. a mere commoner like himself didn't have to worry about such troubling things thankfully, or so he thought.

Jekalyn, Morrigan 】A small, although slightly uneasy smile was present on Cedric's face as he closed the door again once Morrigan was in. He was happy to see her, but it wasn't always easy to be as casual as she'd like him to be when there were royal guards quite literally right outside his front door. Turning around to face the now two Asiali sisters standing in his waiting room, Cedric tilted his gaze toward Morrigan as she spoke. As usual, he was his calm, quiet self as he listened to what she said. At her excuse for coming to see him, he shook his head in a no problem sort of way and added, "That's all right." He slipped his hands into his pockets and then walked into the room some more. From the looks of it, Morrigan hadn't yet noticed that her sister was here. It was mildly amusing, but he didn't make fun of her for it, or anything close to that.
Instead, he responded to her question politely. "Things are pretty good. Not too many people sick or injured, which is always a good thing. It's been fairly quiet around here so far, so it's been nice having Jekalyn here to pick up medical reports." He paused for a moment to let that sink in a little before going on to say, "Actually, if you give us a moment to finish, you can stay after for as long as you like or can." Cedric smiled slightly and let his gaze rest on Morrigan for a few moments before tilting his eyes up in the direction of Jekalyn, who was standing a few feet behind her, sort of giving a silent signal to let her know that Jekalyn was there, in case she hadn't noticed just yet..

caoimhe .nuala .asiali
❝the free❞
[gender] female [age] twenty [title] princess [ location ] forest [ tagged ] fenrisúlfr
Though her worries had somewhat lifted once she'd given voice to them it seemed that it would take more than that to make them disappear once and for all. Fenrir had always been the person she could share anything with from her misadventures in town to fights with her sisters and though he would likely deny it Fenrir was thoughtful seeing things that Caoimhe would never have noticed. As the silence dragged on Caoimhe glanced over at Fenrir only to meet his deep blue gaze with her own. Fenrir's words were a surprise to the young princess, he'd been having strange dreams as well? Blue eyes widening Caoimhe wanted to ask more about his dreams, what they entailed, what the voice said to him, what he thought it meant, but it was clear that Fenrir wasn't as concerned about them as she was. Holding her tongue Caoimhe watched as fragments of crushed leaf slowly filtered down to once again be reclaimed by the earth and in time would become earth, a fascinating thing that many people simply dismissed. When she mentioned the fey king Caoimhe could see her friend and his companion visibly stiffen making her regret even mentioning it. For as long as she could remember Caoimhe was told stories about mystical fae creatures both good and bad but she had never truly feared such things because like many others she thought they'd left long ago. She'd been in court (grudgingly) the day that the black rider had come and the memory sent shivers up her spine, she'd never seen the fae's face but even his mere presence was off putting, he'd had a mystical aura that had radiated with power. Burying her hand deeper into Lyuka's coat Caoimhe once again pushed her memories into a dark corner of her mind, there was enough unease as it was. Blinking in surprise as the silence was once again shattered Caoimhe looked up her surprise slowly melting into relief the longer that Fenrir spoke. Not wanting the alternative to be true Caoimhe nodded in agreement with Fenrir's suggestion "You may be right..." she murmured softly shifting a little as she tried to decide wether or not to get up as well. Fenrir's offer to go to the clearing however tipped the scales entirely, standing up Caoimhe brushed off the dirt that had inevitably clung to her pants and looked up at Fenrir smiling broadly, "I like that plan," she told him her eyes shining with excitement, with all that had been going on Caoimhe hadn't made it to the clearing in a long time. The crunch of leaves underfoot was music to the young woman's ears, though she already knew the way it was nice to have Fenrir's company especially today. Clearing her throat Caoimhe turned to look at her friend "you know...if you really want to see you could help me hand them out back at the castle." she offered half joking and half serious though her parents would most certainly disapprove if Fenrir was really curious about seeing her home Caoimhe would be more than willing to sneak him in.
