Euphrasie was so consumed in her flight from her maids that she didn't hear the telltale sound of footsteps heading straight for her. She collided straight into the other person and fell back, landing ungracefully on her back. For a moment she panicked, horrified at how much stricter her already restricted area of free movement was if her parents found out she had walked straight into someone. The fear of never being able to take an unguided step again constricted her throat before the voice of the person she had bumped into filtered through the haze.

"Morrigan?" Euphrasie asked, struggling to her feet. She brushed absentmindedly at her dress, unsure if she had dirtied it, before reaching an exploratory hand out towards her youngest sister's voice. "I'm fine, Mor." She said placatingly, worried that her sister would blame herself. "It's my fault anyways; I wasn't listening to my surroundings. Are you alright?"

xxxxxOh how unladylike! Morrigan fretted, knowing how mother would scold her endlessly for being so absentminded and running into her sister. She would have gotten a lecture of how a princess is always to be aware of her surroundings so she doesn't make mistakes, because a princess is always perfect. Morrigan shook her head to clear it of stressed thoughts of her mother.
xxxxxLooking to her sister Morrigan nodded even though it wasn't necessary. She took her sisters hand as the older girl reached out for her. Morrigan gently gripped Euphrasie's hand and gave a little giggle to ease both of their embarrassments. "Oh no, it was my fault. I wasn't paying attention either," Morrigan spoke with a smile and gave her sisters hand a little squeeze before letting go and letting her arms fall to her sides. "What are you doing all alone? Shouldn't you have someone walking with you?" She asked and then suddenly her eyes grew wide and she gasped. "Did you get your eyesight back?" her voice was hopeful, such a sweet heart with such a dull brain. Morrigan wasn't knowledge-less, it had just always been harder for her to understand things and her big heart always made her believe the impossible could happen to someone who really needed it. She was, silly minded rather than stupid.

prophecy of hope - cedric (1)

Postby Shadō » Sun Mar 06, 2016 7:32 pm

Ƈє∂яιc Acєℓιη
ᴛʜᴇ ʜᴇᴀʟᴇʀ - ᴍᴀʟᴇ | ᴛᴡᴇɴᴛʏ﹣ᴛᴡᴏ | ʜᴇᴛᴇʀᴏsᴇxᴜᴀʟ - ᴄʀᴜsʜ. -- | ʟᴏᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ. Healer's Place | ᴛᴀɢs. Open

"There you go, ma'am. Just be sure not to be up on your feet too much so you don't make that hip worse." Cedric stepped back and gave the patient he was treating a gentle, encouraging smile. "If you give it time to rest and don't overwork it, it will heal and be fully functional in no time." The woman stood with a bright smile. It was obvious that her weight was all on the one leg as she stood, but she looked very happy. "Thank you, sir. I will, and hopefully I won't need to come back anytime soon." She bowed and turned, heading out of the room. Once she was gone, Cedric left and headed into the bathroom to wash his hands. He had been awake for maybe 4 hours now and had been working for a little over 2, and already he had seen four patients. It was nice helping them, but he did wish they would be more careful, and practice better hygiene so they didn't get sick so often. Turning off the water, he dried his hands with a towel and then headed back out to the front room to see if there was anyone else waiting there that needed to be treated. There weren't any more people waiting, which was kind of nice since it meant he could work on doing some of the other things he needed to get done to day.
It was still fairly early in the morning, and hopefully no one would get injured or sick for at least another, ah, hour and a half. That would at least give him enough time to get some of the records in order that had yet to be filed, and maybe check on the supply he had right now. Cedric knew he would need to run out to get a few more things soon. He was running a little low, but on the up side, some of the things he could get right out back, where he had growing some of the plants he used in his medicines. All he had to do was pick the needed parts and dry them for a day or two. The young healer turned and went back into one of the back rooms. Sorting the records that needed sorting didn't take that long. Since he was pretty organized, he generally tended to keep things fairly tidy (unless it was a particularly busy season in which he didn't have much time to do so) and as a result, normally didn't have all that much to do in that area. Next, Cedric headed out back to check on those plants. They all seemed to be doing well this morning. He sprinkled some water on each of them. Another day or two and they would be ready to harvest. For a moment, his mind wandered to a few days ago, when something slightly out of the ordinary had happened.
One of his plants hadn't been doing so well. It had brown spots and had been in very sad shape as the result of a mold it must have caught. Cedric had tried picking some of the bad leaves off to stop the spread, but more spots only appeared. Without knowing how to stop the spread of this mold since he was a people doctor and not a plant doctor, he had been pretty sure the plant would die. When he went to go and pick off one other leaf that had grown 3 brown spots, something strange happened. The brown spots disappeared, and the whole plant seemed to suddenly perk up and appear perfectly healthy once more. It was odd, some kind of magic, surely. He just wasn't sure what had caused it, and all he knew was that since that moment, it had been in perfect health.
Cedric still wasn't sure what happened that day, and he was a little doubtful he ever would know. A slight frown on his face as he thought about it, he lightly brushed his fingers over the leaves of that plant, half wondering if something would happen again. Nothing did, and it had that same, healthy glow it had had since that day, so he guessed it was just a weird fluke of nature, or something like that. The young man shook his head slightly, telling himself that these thoughts were a little ridiculous. He lightly ran his hand across the back of his neck and looked around for a moment before turning and heading back inside once more to check and see if there were any patients before he went on to try and work on other things that needed to get done.

[ jekalyn ] ♕ [ post three ]

Postby rogue, » Mon Mar 07, 2016 12:06 am

♕ .JEKALYN ASIALIxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx( the smart )xx( location; healers place // tags; cedric )

None too pleased with the man whom held upstanding morals, Jekalyn frowned at him. She was smart, and there was no moving his position, and she knew when to surrender. I would offer more than a hundred gold pieces for those. You are getting a bad deal, Sir. Ah, but how would you know they weren't to be read, if you hadn't yourself? There were a manner of things she could have spoken that may just have influenced him, but she was not one to manipulate, so she bit her tongue and wandered away; watching Craft take the bookstore owner to a more secluded location.

Then she waited. Another man, whom had dealings with the owner, went before her and she watched as he paid and hurried off; leaving her alone in the store. Perfect opportunity to liberate those books, then.

Before long, and after a fraught discussion (with next to no social skills on her part) with the owner, Jekalyn found herself to in possession of two of the Fey books. It wasn't much of a victory for the princess, granted, but it was better than nothing at the end of the day. She'd clocked the location in which he'd hidden them, and when he denied knowledge of said books, Jekalyn plucked one free. It left the man red-faced and pleading with her not to summon her guards. (Of course, she never would have, though he didn't exactly need to know such fine details.) In exchange, they agreed to a dealing of sorts. She would get the books, if and when, the owner had finished with them. One at a time. As a show of gratitude, Jekalyn purchased a few more novels and left a coin pouch as a donation, as well as a reminder that she would be back.

Irritated and annoyed with the princess, her guards ushered her away from the bookstore. "That was far longer than ten minutes," the lead spoke. "You know our instructions." he looked down his nose at the young princess, face stern and voice like gravel.
"For your troubles." she smiled and tossed him a book entitled 'Elocution and Eloquence'. That shut the guard right up. Jekalyn offered a shrug and entered the carriage escort with her prized books. Onto her next order of business; acquiring the updated medical records of the people.

It was a smooth ride, the horses were paced fairly, their hooves setting a steady rhythm. Jekalyn sighed and stowed away her books in the seating compartment, propping up her chin with her hand as she gazed out of the window. Two royal guards stationed inside the carriage with her were muttering between themselves while she stayed completely silent. Often, they would glance over every now and again, attempting to pry into exactly what she may have been thinking. She felt, rather than saw, their eyes on her and kept her posture relaxed and unreadable. They soon grew bored of trying to interact with the quiet princess, turning back to their own company for jokes and laughter. She swallowed thickly, wishing desperately to be left alone in her own presence.

The carriage soon slowed to a halt, and with it, Jekalyn along with two guards hopped free. The one with the snake-shaped pommel lead, with the princess sandwiched in between them. It was degrading to say the least, even if Jekalyn wasn't the adventurous one, she was certain this trip could have been journeyed alone. A breath of air left her mouth as the trio rounded upon the healer's house. Jekalyn being Jekalyn, didn't knock or speak and the lead guard took over, rapping on the door rather harshly, "By decree of the Royal Guard we ask that you open your door." to this formal introduction, Jekalyn rolled her eyes and shook her head. Couldn't a simple 'hello' suffice?

caoimhe. post two

Postby Speak » Mon Mar 07, 2016 11:18 am

caoimhe .nuala .asiali

the free

[gender] female [age] twenty [title] princess [ location ] forest [ tagged ] fenrisúlfr

The pleasant sound of the trickling stream was soothing to Caoimhe's ears as she pondered her problems....the prophecy, the brothers, the fey king, the draughts, and the disasters. Though many assumed the rebellious princess took no notice of her responsibilities as a princess the welfare of her people was still a burden Caoimhe carried with her at all times and right now her people were suffering. It was obvious who'd been causing these disasters but that knowledge wasn't enough, until she or really anyone managed to figure out exactly what the prophecy meant or if they even had all of it.
The crunch of leaves behind her brought Caoimhe back from her thoughts and though she didn't turn around the princess was soon greeted by a familiar voice. Glancing to her side a smile found it's way to her lips as she confirmed that the man beside her was indeed Fenrir with Lyuka most likely not too far behind. Watching the abstract blobs of colours that were their reflections in the small stream and for awhile simply listened to her friends greeting chuckling when he mentioned the deer. Before all of this otherworld Caoimhe had snuck out more than once before the sun had barely risen to watch those graceful creatures as they went about their business. "Good morning Fenrir.....and Lyuka" Caoimhe said adding the last bit as the wolf in question pushed her way between the two demanding attention. Her hand finding it's own way into the coarse and soft fur of Fenrir's companion Caoimhe softly stroked Lyuka as Fenrir offered his counsel even though he was a "simpleminded commoner".
Taking a moment Caoimhe leaned back a little and tilted her head up to watch the gently swaying branches that crisscrossed the sky "it's just...these dreams I've been having, they come every night and they're always the same. I'm running from something, I can never see what and this voice follows me repeating the same phrase over and over...." looking over at her friend she shrugged, "I know it sounds silly...but I can't help but think it's the prophecy....I mean they started after we defied the fey king." she explained brushing stray blonde locks from her face. Her troubles now out in the open rather than sitting on her chest Caoimhe felt much lighter, though her worries were still with her it was nice to have someone to share them with.

Check the plants? Done. File the medical records? Done. Care for any and all patients who had visited or were visiting so far? Done. Cedric was doing pretty well this morning, especially for running on about 4 hours of sleep. Not the best, he knew very well, but there were some things that needed to be done last night. That combined with the fact that he had a bit of a tough time staying asleep made for a bit of a rough night. Well, he'd just have to try again tomorrow. Cedric arrived in the front room to see if any patients had come in. There weren't any there, but it seemed like he had come just in time. A rather heavy knock sounded at the door, followed by, "By decree of the Royal Guard we ask that you open your door." The moment he heard the word 'decree,' Cedric knew who it was and what they had come for. Well, at least this one is more polite than the last guy, he thought. The last time the princess had come with her royal escort, her guard had nearly broken down his door and was shouting as though Cedric had committed a crime and was being forced to come out to be arrested.
Despite all this, he had remained his polite self as always, just like he was going to do now. Walking to the door, he opened it and gave a slight bow, since he knew the guards might spear him if he did anything else. "Good morning, Princess. Assuming you have come for the medical records, it will only take a moment to gather them from the back room. You're welcome to come in and sit if you like, but it won't be long." He gave a polite nod and small smile, accompanied by a small, welcoming gesture, before turning and heading into the back room for the records. Getting the records themselves didn't take long at all. It was easy to find each one with how organized he kept the place. Cedric grabbed the files needed and closed the drawer before returning to where he left the princess and her guards.
Holding out the files and papers they needed, he said, "Here are copies of the files as usual since I need them as well to treat the patients. I'll send you any urgent updates if needed, and will have the regular ones ready for next time. Is there anything else I can do for you today?" Cedric wouldn't mind if she wanted to stay and chat a little or something like that, but he knew the princesses generally had a busy schedule, and with their guards always tight around them, they didn't have much time for small matters such as that.

[color=GREY]Euphrasie let her hand fall to her sides, clenching them tightly hen her sister asked if she should have someone walking with her. She loved Morrigan dearly, even though the girl sometimes underestimated her. She unclenched her fists and smoothed them down her skirt for lack of anything better to do with them. She smiled at where her sister's voice was coming from.
"Not today, I'm afraid." She answered her sister's second question. She rubbed her fingers together. There was something caught under her nail, something gritty that reminded her of when Caiomhe would bring her things from the wide world she had never stepped foot in. Dirt. "Have you been outside?"

Zuzana A siali
» the bold
gender;; female ║ age;; 24 ║ title;; princess ║ location;; castle ║ tagged;; open

Zuzana had just left the sandy area that made up the training area, when she saw a vaguely familiar shape not too far away as well as another. The General? As she continued to walk, the General had left leaving only the other solider. As the man seemed to have caught a glimpse of her and offered a bow, did she dip her head slightly in greeting herself. "Hello Sir Niet," she said with a faint smile the guards name having come to her now that she was seeing him up close. She had traveled with him a few times before on certain treks, but certainly not overly often. Zuzana knew him to be a man of few words and emotion, which rather intrigued her, though she was never one to pry unless she felt the need to. Absently brushing her hands down her dirt speckled practice clothes, did she let out a defeated sigh. Not that a little dust bothered her, but she still missed her usual armor in comparison. Deciding it best to give something to talk about, did she raise her fist towards her mouth as she gave a faint cough, did she turn her green gaze towards the man before her. "Would you mind accompanying me to the castle?" she asked, unsure if he was busy or not. Not really the bossy type (for the most part) she typically never ordered anyone to do anything unless necessary and usually offered a choice. She was the type that saw everyone as an equal to her. Probably came from her warrior-like training that she felt that way, but she simply did not believe in the royalty aspect always being above everyone else. She found it silly that those born by luck into a royal family would get treated better then everyone else. She hoped to change that in her time at ruling, but she still wasnt quite sure how to accomplish that as of yet.

ooc;; ugh. WB has been killing me as of late... So sorry ^^"

The Beauty > Location: Cedric's Hut > Tags: open >

xxxxxOblivious to her unintentional insult the brunette just kept smiling sweetly at her blind sister. Morrigan was oblivious but sweet and if she came across as mean she wasn't doing it on purpose. There really wasn't a mean bone in her body. "Have I been outside?" Morrigan reiterated the question then gave a quick nod. "Of course I had. This castle is too stuffy for me," Morrigan said with a little nod then looked around the hallway, a little impatient to get going. She really wanted to visit the village. She actually wanted to go see Cedric to be more specific. "Well I really should be going. I have some herbs to deliver to Cedric," she politely excused herself and side stepped her sister before quickly heading to the entrance of the castle. She knew that if she got caught trying to leave she would either get scolded or have guards assigned to her and she was hoping for neither of those outcomes. Holding her dress up so she could run freely Morrigan tried to think of a way to get out of the castle and to the stables without being seen. Maybe I'll just ask if I can go alone she thought to herself then shook her head no that's a stupid idea. I'm so stupid, the brunette insulted herself. Slowing her pace as she neared the big doors she still didn't have a plan and hoped no one was there. Just her luck! As she approached she stopped completely and peered around the corner. She was surprised to see the odds were in her favor as she saw they were doing a guard rotation. The two men were busy chatting and then something clattered in the distance and they quickly went to investigate. She didn't know what she had done to deserve such luck, but she wasn't about to question it. Taking the opportunity she bolted out of the castle and ran to the stables.
xxxxxArriving at the stables she walked three stalls down to see her beautiful black horse with one green eye and one blue was munching on some hay. The pair shared unique eyes so she had been given the stallion as a birthday present. "Hiya Jax," she said with a smile and the horse perked up hearing her voice. Opening the door she lead him from the stable and mounted the big creature. Morrigan had been taught to ride side saddle but had always preferred bare back. Gripping the stallion's long dark mane she squeezed his sides and he set off into the village.
xxxxxThe sound of hooves against the ground was the only sound for the longest time, until she entered the village that is. Slowing Jax's pace to a light canter she easily maneuvered herself to Cedric's hut on the far end of the village. The man liked his privacy, but was also close enough for patients. Morrigan smiled sweetly and waved to people as they walked by, she always loved visiting the village and mingling with her subjects. Spotting a familiar carriage she sighed, one of her sisters was already there and that meant guards. Slowing Jax she accepted that she would have to come up with an excuse for why she was alone. Dismounting Jax the stallion trotted over and began munching on some grass. Flattening her dress she made her way over to the hut, hoping the guards were in the carriage. She was surprised to see they were and she was thoroughly confused on why she hadn't ran into any obstacles making her way to Cedric. Shrugging she walked up to the door and lightly knocked. "Cedric?"
