Lichenflower bounded after him, her eyes widening when Runningtail mentioned a meeting. "I wonder what's happened." Lichenflower padded over to the highrock, her gaze fixing curiously on Aspentail and Skystar. The clan was cheering, clearly happy about something.

Otterpaw and Kestrelflight cheered for Aspentail, almost like he'd just become a warrior, "Aspentail! Aspentail! Aspentail!"

Aspentail lifted his head proudly, the clan's cheering washing over him. The orange and white tom looked at Skystar solemnly. "I will do my best to be a deputy worthy of Sunclan." He promised.

sweetpaw cheered along as with her clan for aspentail. she was glad skystar had picked him, he was truly a good cats, and he was also her mentor and crush.

"i bet it was the deputy ceremony," runningtail said, speeding up to make his way into the crowd and once he made his way in he started to shout, "aspentail! aspentail!"

skystar nodded. "that is all," she said, dismissing everyone.

Lichenflower cheered, happy they finally had a deputy. Things would be much easier with Aspentail working out patrols and things like that. She glanced at Runningtail, "Aspentail's going to make a good deputy." The tortoishell commented.

Aspentail let himself enjoy the clan's cheering for a moment or two before glancing around camp a bit uncertainly. Was he supposed to do something now? As far as he knew, the borders had been checked and there was plenty of fresh kill.

sweetpaw watched the sun lowered on the horizon until she couldn't see it anymore. she yawned then stalked off to her nest to get some much needed rest.

runningtail nodded. "of course," he said with a smile then looked at his paws. he felt something so deep for lichenflower, he wondered if he wondered if he could tell her.

tinyfang also walked towards his nest. he felt something burning in his chest but decided to push it aside then as he laid down he drifted into a very dark place. is this the dark forest? he wondered.

Lichenflower watched the rest of the clan beginning to settle down for the night. It was late and a nice long sleep sounded wonderful to her. The tortoishell looked at Runningtail, blinking tiredly. "It was nice hunting with you today. Even with the adders and the twoleg vines." She admitted, rather shyly.

Otterpaw padded into the apprentice's den to see Sweetpaw already asleep. The tabby padded quietly to her nest and curled into a tiny ball of fur, her eyes closing. It wasn't long until she opened them and found herself in the dark forest.

Kestrelflight collapsed into his nest, drifting into the dark forest. He looked around startled, wondering where he was. The tom hadn't been to the dark forest before so it wasn't surprising he was a bit startled.

mapleclaw was one of the last to sleep. she burrowed herself in the nest as it was a cool night. she soon closed her eyes and opened them in the dark forest.

blood smiled as his new apprentice made her way into the forest. "welcome back, otterpaw," he said.

a black cat watched from the forest as her new apprentice appeared in a meadow made as a false sense of security in the dark forest. "hello," she said to kestrelflight.

Otterpaw turned towards the sound of his voice, her gaze fixing on her mentor. "Hi Blood," She greeted, adding, "What are we learning tonight?" The tabby wondered if they'd be able to explore soon. That would be fun.

Kestrelflight whipped around to face the she-cat, his eyes narrowing as he took in her appearance. "Who are you?" He asked warily.

witheredtail smiled at the tom, she decided that she would try to charm him and get him to think she liked him. "my name is witheredtail," she purred then ran her tail under his chin. "i'm here to teach you how to be a better warrior and bring pride to you're clan," she purred.

blood smiled. "you will be put to the test for the forest time, remember our rules, claws unsheathed and attack with the killing blow," he said. "wrenpaw, bring him out!" he called then a tall apprentice hauled robinwing into the clearing. "now, prove you're worth and loyalty."

mapleclaw looked around, looking for where bone might have gone or where he might be.

tinyfang looked around the dark forest, he started to bristle with fear and unknowingness.

Otterpaw watched as the apprentice dragged Robinwing into the clearing. As he'd died before she'd been born, Otterpaw didn't know he was a starclan cat instead of a dark forest cat. She simply assumed he'd be as good at fighting as Blood was. Otterpaw leapt towards him, her claws unsheathed.

Kestrelflight watched her with narrowed eyes. "Kestrelflight," He introduced himself after a moment. "How are you going to do that?" He snapped, his voice sharp with doubt. His mentor when he'd been an apprentice had taught him all he knew. What could this cat teach him that would help?

blood smiled at otterpaw's quick think and called to her, "go for the paws first!" he said back and watched with wrenpaw. wrenpaw watched most intently, he was the apprentice who had come into otterpaw's dream.

robinwing tensed. the starclan had did not want to fight and apprentice but this was on his life and if he wanted to survive he would have to fight the apprentice. he quickly unsheathed his claws and swept her to the ground, pinning her down.

witheredcloud giggles. "you have much to learn, don't you want to help you're clan win the coming battle?" she asked, purring as she drug her claw under his chin softly then walked back at bit. "you need to learn more attacks, offensive and defensive," she said.
