What types of posts here on CAAA catch your attention? Long posts, short posts, posts with more texts or images? Honestly, I am always more inclined to actually look at a post when the poster commented on other people's stuff before them. It makes me have a greater desire to interact with that person, when I see they're making an effort themselves to interact with others. It annoys me to no end when people just post their ads in here and never really contribute to conversation, y'know? I mean I like browsing the ads but they just don't catch my interest unless the person comes off as being super friendly.

I'm really seeking to buy or trade for lower quality characters? I know that's kind of a weird request, but I'm seeking a character to be sort of a sidekick/pet kind of companion character to another character of mine. Meaning I don't want a super complex and high quality character with loads of art? I just want something simple and somewhat realistic in design. Any species is cool as long as its a realistic species (i.e. no winged elephant-panthers or something hahah) Please lmk if you have any characters that you think I may be interested in? Remember, semi-realistic is the key.

What makes a fan character for you? Is it a character set in the fictional world another author has dreamed up? Are they based on a real life person or fictional character? Is it simply a character from a fictional species that someone else created? For some, fan characters are the primary outlet for fanfiction, fan girl/boying, art, and other creative efforts. To others, fan characters are unoriginal and difficult to bond with. No matter your opinion on fan characters, I'd like to hear it!

Show me your fan characters...your Pokemon trainers, your Homestuck trolls, your Winchester brothers. Any and all discussion based on fan characters is welcomed and encouraged this week! What do you find most difficult when using a fan character? Easier?

I personally love seeing most fan characters, especially ones from shows or fandoms that get less attention. I own 15, which I didn't realize I had that many v.v
The most difficult thing is making them so they aren't overly cliche or copying what they're based off of. Example being I have three different Levi based ocs that each have some similar appearances, mainly the cravat and facial expressions. Each is different from the other and not entirely based off the original character. I still need to go through them all and tweak them since I haven't updated any info for them in some time.
I have some also just fandom based so they're their own person...much easier to develop them that way.

My favorite would have to be Castiel (at least from my feral fan characters)

Do your fan character haves a role on the original story of the game/series/book/etc or are they just design-based?
Mmm yes for any that are just fandom based. Ones based off characters nope.
For Fluer, she's a super heroine that fights alongside another character of mine, Jayce, and ladybug/chat noir. I have a whole story in my head for them both. The other three are from either MCL, Harry Potter, or Attack On Titan. So each of them have their own story and how they fit in the fandom world they're from.

Ones with replies to others tend to catch my attention ; v ; Or images! I like longer posts since I usually read through each post from at least a page back. Advertisements are alright, but when it's just that and no feedback I skip right over them ^^;

Do you have one certain character that you spoil more than the rest? If so why?

Of course my fursona is spoiled like no other, but besides her I'd have to say right now I am spoiling the heck out of Chickadee. Her design is just so simple that I find her adorable!
