So I came up with this great idea and wanted to just post it in beginner's since I'm still working on my skills with the different tools, but I wanted to know what you all thought? Here is their history :3 (For those of you that read the Silverwing series, this may sound familiar. And no, I did not copy the title of the last book, it was after I named them that I realized it was the title xD)

Firewing bats started out as a small colony of Silverwing bats, 20 bats at the most. They kept to themselves, only eating the insects they needed, retreating to their roost before dawn. They never interacted with any other animals. Then one day humans came. With fire, and anger. They burned down the roost. No bats escaped. They were thought to have perished, but a strange phenomenon occurred. Their bodies were mutated: The blood in their veins evaporated, replaced with lava. Their hearts disintegrated, replaced with flames. Ashen coloring (Such as in the picture) that depicts ashes. They also gained strange abilities: The ability to summon fire, begin smoking whenever they please, though mostly random. They gained immunity to fire. They can cause anything in their path to burst into flames, including themselves. Newborns' only abilities are glowing like hot coals. Adult bats may also glow, but they rarely use it when they have so many others. In order for newborns to gain their abilities, they are assigned a task by the colony chief, a task that shows bravery, courage.

That's the rough draft anyways xD Please let me know what you think or if you have suggestions! (These are for my use only until further notice. Just thought I should point that out... I'm protective over my bats and my horses ):D)
