Every year, he will spend

March 17th also just happens

♣How do they celebrate St. Patrick's Day?:
Saoirse always celebrates St. Patrick's Day with friends, and whether they like it or not, they will participate. In the morning, they have a picnic on the hilltops above the little leaf shelter she lives beneath. This picnic involves the eating of green foods- and green foods only, as well as searching for four leaf clovers. She had only been successful in finding one a single time (four years ago), but had a taller friend press it for her, and now he brings it to every St. Patrick's Day picnic, for admiration.
If the spring thaw is arriving a little late or a little slowly, Saoirse and friends use tubs of nontoxic green paint to color the dead blades of grass and bare branches. Whenever there's paint leftover, they put shamrocks on each other's faces.
Their last tradition is to cut out snakes from paper, color them as they please, then set them off into the river on little stick rafts. Whoever's raft reaches the delta first, gets crowned Saint Patrick, with a headdress of flowers. It may seem rather petty, but they swear that the winner gets good luck for the rest of the year.

(Saoirse is teased for being 'a leprechaun', due to her tiny, green self. A few times, she even got lost and had to be found again, because she blended so well with her surroundings. That's why it's best to stay on a shoulder.)
