EDIT: I've never seen the icon for this thread before? It's like the regular icons but with a heart?
The regular ones are started by regular users, the exclamation shaped ones are started by mods/staff/the Team and the one with the heart is started by Tess or Nick, I'm guessing?

When you create a new thread, you have the option to put a thread icon. You can see some examples in this forum (and other forums, but I just have this one on hand and there are quite a few examples).

Edit: You could think of it as an icon add-on. The main icon depends on the type of thread. Lightbulb-shaped icons with an exclamation mark inside are stickied threads; circles with lowercase i's are global announcements. Main thread icon is separate from icon add-on

oh man tess, must'a been a long time on your part! having to crank out many oets and all, it must be hard to get up to date with all this stuff going on. I've never been able to personally chat, or trade with you, but both my pm's and trade are always open! i swear if you started a squid hoard I would start cranking out signatures for people for life
