there's no such thing as fake fans. even if someone only knows, say, stressed out and guns for hands, that doesn't make them a fake fan or whatever. that just means they haven't been in the clique for as long as you have, or that they haven't known them for long enough. i don't understand how that can make anyone "fake", as it's not like tøp were overly mainstream or on the charts before blurryface [well, at least not over here].
my concert is in 49 days and honestly im so excited??? like tbh if anyone else is going on the 18th of april literally pm and scream abt it with me omg
also, i have the best freakin' datemate ; w ; they made me personalized/new version of regional at best and sent me it all the way over for our three month anniversary and if that isn't literal goals then idk what is aaa

I've talked about my concert on here before but i'll talk about it again because it was literally the most amazing thing and it couldn't have been lovelier.
Alright, so I went with my brother, my brother's best friend, my brother's best friend's older sister, and by brother's older sister's 3 best friends. We left at about 12 for a long drive up to the venue, and in the car we were just listening to their music and eating snacks and completely chilling. When we got to the venue, we sat in the back of the car with their music playing and were eating dinner. A bunch of people came and joined as and we were all just sitting around the car and eating and chilling and it was amazing. Then we went to go get in line to get in and this girl had brought a ton of facepaint which she shared so that we could do the black neck and hands or draw clique symbols on ourselves or whatever. Someone had brought a speaker and was blasting twenty one pilots music, and I was joking around with all the people around me and just having a really good time hanging out with the clique.
When we made it into the venue, it was around 7 or 8- the concert had gotten pushed back to nine because Tyler and Josh were running a bit late. My brother, his best friend, and I went straight to the biggest merch mob at the back of the venue. (It was an outdoor amphitheater, so it wasn't too crowded or stuffy.) There were probably a good 1,000 people in that mob. A couple guys who made it to the front were getting things for people who wanted merch but were afraid of standing in the merch mob. A couple people had brought their ukuleles and were getting everyone around them to sign it. We were all singing and rapping and talking about our favorite songs and it was great. I got a beanie and a shirt and it was amazing. Around that time, Finish Ticket was starting their set, but we weren't too interested in hearing them, so instead we got in a circle with a bunch of people who had brought their ukes and portable drums and things and we were singing and jamming with them, which was cool.
We started to make our way to our seats around the time echosmith was starting their set. When we got there, there were some girls in our seats who we politely asked to move. They told us that some loud drunk guys wer ein their seats and they were afraid to ask them to move, so my brother and his friend went to go help them with that. Because of the way the venue was structured, the GA seating (which we DIDN'T have) had a pit at the veeeeeeeerrrry top of the venue, and the A seating was just the front five or six rows, so there was no fighting in the 'pit', which was nice. Anyways. So the guys next to us was smoking something, and he offered me some. I just kinda looked at him, and my brother goes, "Sir. Sir, she's underage." He got super embarresed cause apparently he thought I was older. So he was apologizing and later some guy was being really creepy towards me and this dude totally stood up for me and was like, "Dude, leave her alone." It was just a really amazing atmosphere because even guys who normally would have scared me, like this one, were being super polite and friendly. Echosmith played their set, we had a lot of fun, it was all cool.
Now, the night of our show was the night that the moon was a harvest moon, a super moon, and a lunar eclipse. You know, the night everyone thought the world was gonna end? Yeah. That one. Just as the first notes of heavy dirty soul started playing, the moon eclipsed and turned blood red, which was incredibly cool. Once heavy dirty soul finished, Tyler and Josh talked to us a bit and then started playing Ride. We were all singing along and it was amazing. Then Tyler played Can't Help Falling In Love. THIS WAS MY FAVORITE OH MY WORD. After he finished, he just looked at us all with the sweetest smile and said, "You know it's true. I know a lot of you don't think you're beautiful, but if you could see yourself through my eyes tonight, you would know that you're gorgeous." And Josh kicked his drum in agreement and it was so cool. There were a couple videos that got played and they were doing some crazy lighting stuff. After a couple more songs, Tyler paused and said, "You know, a lot of people say that the world is gonna end tonight. Now, I dunno about you guys, but, somehow, I'd be alright with that. You're the people I'd wanna go out with." And that was incredible. He asked us to give it up for Josh Dun at least five times. During Lane Boy, he had us do the staying low thing.
And then they played Car Radio. Wow. WOW. Before they started, Tyler said, "Now this is our last song, unless you guys tell us otherwise, so make it count." And then they started and it was incredible and halfway through the song he ran off the stage, Josh did his second backflip off the piano, and Tyler climbed on top of the little building thing in the venue. And we were all singing and screaming and crying and then it ended, and we cheered for like five minutes straight before they started playing Goner. And then they played Trees, and Tyler asked us to get on the shoulders of people next to us and I got on the shoulders of a complete stranger and then it was over. They did the, "We're Twenty One Pilots and so are you," thing and Tyler asked us to stay alive for him, and it was incredible. We were all hugging and crying and talking and it was so amazing, getting to just be with my clique.
When we finally made it out of the venue, we started the long drive back home. We stopped at one point to go get snacks and on the way back we were all just talking about our favorite songs and our schools and whatever else came to mind and it was the most amazing thing. I miss it so, so, so much. The only thing that could have made it better is if I had gotten a card. (If you didn't know the card system is how they determine who gets to meet them. They hand out playing cards to some fans and those who get a card get to meet them.)
Anyways, yeah.

wow wow wow
that sounds soooo amazing.
i was kind of starting to get nervous tbh,
since there have been some really bad vibes in the clique lately.
and also because this will be my very first concert ever, but it seems like they are pretty welcoming at tøp ones.
and i have crushing social anxiety whoops
but that is super encouraging, i'm excited again oDo
it's only me and my cousin going so that will be kind of scary
but people seem to be pretty cool there?? eeeeee I am so excited. do you wait in some sort of line even if you buy seated tickets?

Not so much seating tickets, you only have to arrive at the venue when doors open because nobody will take your seat. I suggest go a little earlier to get merch (the merch queue times can vary for FOB it was about 20 minutes but for ATL there was no line lmao) if you are getting any and then find your seats.
Also, you'll be great! I went to the All Time Low concert with one of my friends and we're both only teenagers and we were fine, everything was great!

Don't be nervous! Concerts are actually a lot of fun. I would just recommend bringing a small backpack with water bottles, money, and anything else you might need like an inhaler or whatever AND KEEP IT ON YOU AT ALL TIMES. The one thing I regret is not bringing any water because we got super dehydrated and water at the venue was super expensive like 8 bucks a bottle. And make sure you check the rules of the venue to make sure what you bring is allowed. Stay next to you cousin, even in the merch mobs- I held on to my brother's belt loop to ensure we didn't get pushed apart. Don't worry about interacting with people- you don't have to if you don't want to, and if someone is making you uncomfortable, get away from them. Also really important, if you have asthma you NEED to bring your inhaler, even if it's not bad asthma and your venue is outdoors. Concerts attract a lot of smokers, so there will be pretty heavy smoke towards the start of the show, especially if you're indoors. Don't assume that your lungs will be fine.
But aside from water and inhalers or other medical problems, don't worry. TOP concerts are a lot of fun, and I'm really excited for you that your first concert is getting to see them, because TOP live is unlike any other concert. Also, if you need it, Tyler will stop the show for you, if he knows something is wrong. Like the time a guy punched a girl, or another time a couple people had panic attacks.
At my concert we did have to wait in a line. The show was supposed to start at seven and it started at eight I think??? I don't quite, remember, but i know it was delayed. We got there at like five and the doors weren't open yet, so yes we did have to wait in a queue. However, it depends on how close you are to the venue when you're gonna want to get there, and how much you wanna see the openers. We got there early because we live about 4 hours away from the venue and we were worried about traffic because there was also a football game in one of the cities we had to pass through that day. Me being the freak I am, I would recommend getting there at least 30 minutes or an hour before the doors open, but some people prefer to go later or earlier. However, if you go too early you might get kicked out because only people with GA seats are allowed to camp out at most venues. Either way, yes, for a TOP show, you will probably have to wait in line for a little, but honestly waiting in line at concert is fun so don't worry about it.
