Fernstar looked at the apprentice with slightly shocked eyes. "I will see." She mewed, dipping her head. When the apprentice turned away, she looked around at the warriors around her, trying to think of a new mentor. The leader knew Darkcloud was a bit prickly, but she hoped giving him an apprentice would make it better.


Threeleg shuffled closer to Foxstripe, glad to have the she cat there. He heard a familiar voice, but just twitched his ear. He was hearing things and would for a while until he got used to the loneliness. As the creamy dawn light stretched across the sky like spilled milk, he heard Fernstar's voice. Digging his muzzle even deeper into Snakemint's fur, he whispered a final goodbye before raising his head and wiping his tear-stained face with a paw.


Juniperfrost looked up at Fernstar's voice. She hadn't even noticed the sun beginning to rise and filling the camp with light. The warrior mewed a last goodbye to the medicine cat before looking back at Bramblewhisker, trying to cheer up but her voice was twisted with grief. "I'll go get Hailpaw and we can train." She mewed before padding across to her apprentice, pressing her muzzle against her cheek briefly, as if to comfort her. "Still up for training with me, Bramblewhisker and Sparrowpaw today?" The fae asked, looking at the apprentice with hopeful eyes. Perhaps it would get all of their minds of off the horrible ordeal that had just happened.


Sparrowpaw watched her run off in dismay before sighing and turning back to his mentor. "Are we going then?" He asked, glancing at Hailpaw and smiling at her before looking back to Bramblewhisker.


Aquilo was surprised at all the questions, but he just purred softly and smiled when he apologised. "I'd be happy to reply." He mewed before trying to recall each question in turn. "Yes, she's a Clan cat and our father was a Clan cat so she decided to go with him to the Clan but I stayed with our mother. The Clan sometimes takes in outsiders and I only rarely see her when I bump into her patrol, and I usually only see her long enough for her to chase me from the territory." He let out a hollow sigh. "But that's Clan cats, right?"


Bone picked his way through the undergrowth, tail twitching. He was following the scent of a wood pigeon that was leading him further into CloverClan territory. The sight of the wood pigeon soon met Bone's pale green eyes and he crouched, breathing in its scent. Leaping forward, he caught the pigeon beneath his long claws and killed it, picking it up with eyes gleaming with triumph. "Did I do well, Breezetail?" The rogue asked before realising that he wasn't Sootpaw anymore. Why do I always do this? I just need to accept that I am who I am and Breezetail is gone. He sighed and sat among an oak's twisted roots and began to eat the pigeon.


{He can give Fernstar the prophecy next time she is asleep. Also, I'm looking at the relationships page and good gosh, there are lots of love triangles! Accepted but please post on the forms and discussion thread next time. Shadowpaw could possibly do what Tigerstar did, using Snakemint's body to give the foxes a taste for our blood.}

Blueheart followed Siletstream to Coyoteur, he knew many cats wouldn't be ready to go on a patrol at sad times so he thought he could offer to go "Uh if you dont mind, I could join you too" He meowed to the two cats with a faint smile, it was hard to smile considdering what had happend.

Dustpaws ears twiched as he heard a vouce calling him "Y-yes?" he meowed starteled not expecting anyone to call out his name just like that. He looked to the direction where the voice had come from to notice Berrypaw. He calmed down and re-postured himself so he wouldn't look so scared and waited for the she-cat to say something.

Shadowpaw, still hiding in the forest, stepped out. She carefully looked around.

Torrentheart stood back when she heard her leader mumble something about burying Snakemint. "I hope he has good rest in StarClan," she meowed, picturing the older cat prancing around like an apprentice. Despite the wave of grief in the camp, this sent a chuckle through her, but also raised a question. "Fernstar," she meowed, turning to the older she-cat. "What was Snakemint like as an apprentice?"


Daywatcher padded away from the small gathering around the body when she heard the word. Ignoring whatever her sister said, she bounced up to Coyotefur and meowed, "Might I possibly jump in to your patrol, Coyotefur? I haven't been on one in forever!" She paused thoughtfully for a moment before quickly adding, "That is, of course, if you want me to. If you feel you have enough cats, it's fine if I don't join."


Bearpelt raised an eyebrow in surprise when he noticed Fernstar getting ready to move Snakemint's body. "Fernstar," he rasped, padding up to the she-cat. "Might I do the honors of burying this cat?" Shifting slightly on his paws, he murmured, "In my old Clan, elders always buried the dead." He tried to forget the painful memories of losing his loved ones so quickly.

(I forgot to mention in his form that Bearpelt was part of a different Clan before most of it was wiped out by a greencough epidemic.)

Foxstripe nuzzled Threeleg softly, seeing his tear-stained face. "Threeleg, I am so sorry. Let me help you bury Snakemint." Her amber eyes clouded with deep pain, although noticing the dawn light. "Goodbye, Snakemint." She mewed for the last time.

Bramblewhisker nodded to Juniperfrost, finding Sparrowpaw. "Let's go. He whispered softly to his apprentice, Hailpaw, and Juniperfrost. "We'll let the cats closest to Snakemint bury him." He led them out of camp, ducking under the thicket exit of the camp and outside of the forest, feeling a stressful tension releasing off his shoulders from the dramatic night.

He looked down longingly at the remains of his shrew, now reduced to a small pile of bones and fur. He realized that now he was very close to CloverClan territory, maybe even inside of it. If a patrol found the two toms with the remains of prey, they might have to do a bit more than run for it... "You said the clan cats don't usually come here?" he asked warily, starting to get a bit jumpy.
