Gaster jumped as Chara spoke, causing the shadows to flicker erratically for a few seconds. Although he had mused on the idea, the fact Chara could perceive him both excited, and, if he was frank, terrified him.
Just my luck. First interaction in... in... however long, and it's her.
A part of him not wholly under his control found this incredibly amusing, and let off a spluttering chuckle that the rational thinking part of him decided was a defiantly less-than-sane sound.
The chuckle almost escaped into a fully fledged wild laugh, but Gaster managed to reign it in, taking a few gasping, shaky breaths before speaking in his garbled language.
"Chara... how nice to see you again."

The small child watched Gaster chuckle with a little bit of curiosity, but didn't think too much of it. Instead, she just rocked slightly, still smiling. "Oh, yes, it's very nice to see you too," Chara said, ending her talking with a childish giggle.

undyne chuckled at isaac's antics, rocking from her heels to her toes repeatedly. "hotland, huh?" she asked, cocking her head to one side. "you must be real unacquainted with the cold, then." the royal guard's attention was momentarily grabbed as a trail of monster children darted out from grillby's, chasing each other and giggling as they tripped into the snow. after a warm smile found itself on her face, undyne turned back to isaac and shrugged. "are you sure you're alright out here?"

Outside of his job, Burgerpants can be seen, tired and stressed out from his job, no smile to be seen save for a small almost just as forced smile when he's addressed.
