Mort could tell by the pauses in the girl's speech that she was at least still a little dizzy.

"I'm Morton, But my friends would call me Mort." He extended a hand to help her up. "Now everything good? Nothing got stolen? I have no idea how long you were there."

She stared at him expressionless for a moment. All of a sudden her smile grew very wide. "Then it really is you then?" She squealed."My mom has told me so much about you." She ran over to him and held the picture up. "Yep, definitely you." She wrapped her arms around his neck. "Consider me your new best friend." She gushed. "You can walk me to class." She let go of him. The bell rang for next period. "Speak of the devil." She smiled. "Well, come one then!" She squealed and grabbed his wrist and started off to class.

"I'm Jinx.." She didn't take his hand, but got up on her own. "I don't think I've been here very long." She said.

"Mort? He seems nice.. I shouldn't get too close though." She thought to herself.

Abete

Abete sent an unpleasant stare Opal's way as she witnessed her dragging Tyson out of the lunchroom by the arm.

He didn't tell me he already had a girlfriend. What a waste of my time. She thought to herself. before throwing her bottle away and storming off towards her next class.

"Well that's good, I guess." He put his hand down awkwardly. "So why were you laying there? Or are you just a really deep sleeper?" He laughed at his poor joke. His laughing faded as he realized how bad it was.

Tyson frowned as he watched Abete leave, 'What I would have come back. Did Opal tell her something I don't know about?' He asked himself and stared at blinked. He walked beside opal and asked, "Um so who are you?" He asked her and shrugged. He didn't really know what to do and felt caught in an awkward situation.

She gave him an awkward smile, "I must have passed out.." Her thoughts started to wander to how she passed out and still why the park was so empty.

"Uh.. thanks for uh.. not leaving me here alone... something could have happened." She tried to thank him. She wasn't very good at being social.

"I am Opal." She chirped "I was originally homeschooled but my mom sent me here wanting me to make new friends." She stopped and looked back at him. "She gave me this photo." She held it up to him. "She said to find you." She smiled. "She said your the son of a very good friend of hers." She continued walking. "She told me that if I was to go to school, I shouldnt start out with no friends at all. So I went on a search to find you the moment I got here." She chirped and continued walking.

"How do you know nothing did happen?" He stopped thinking about how awkward that question seemed. "I mean, I didn't do anything. I mean not saying that I wouldn't- I mean with your permission- I give up."
Mort put his hand on his head. He felt like such as idiot.
Maybe I should just walk away. Pretend like nothing happened. But what if this gets out at school? People are going to think I'm more of a freak.

She laughed, she didn't do that very often. "You seem like a nice guy, don't freak out." She tried to calm him down. "If something did happen.. well that's not your fault. You look just as confused as I am." She explained.

"Hopefully I'm right about this guy." She thought to herself.
