@Cat Noir - As stated previously, it honestly really depends on the person drawing. I, personally, like to draw the lower feather a bit smaller than the other, but it's entirely up to the artist's preference.

@Cat Noir, Joining in on the conversation because I've wondered this myself. I've assumed it was always eight, but now that I look at the drawing on the first post of the fan club, I'd assume if plumies had four feathers on their butt, the angle of that drawing would show all four feathers. Since I only see two (on one side), maybe it really is just six feathers!
But like everyone has already said, it's up to artist interpretation. If we really want a definitive answer, I suppose we can just hope that charchar sees this conversation and answers it, pffft.

@Raleigh >> Why that art you have is gorgeous! I've always been a fan of those that can do pixel art as I've sorta lost the patience to do so and need I say you make them wonderfully! :'> Brings tears to my eyes.
And to add onto the conversation, personally I like to see them as having just 2 feathers on their rear and 2 on each side of their head. ;w; And aaa I know I said my next post would be all replies but I've working out stuff with my rude laptop so I've been unable.. orz
But I'd like to say that I wanna give yesterday's stream a second time! Everyone attended knows how much of a mess it was and I apologize for that but I still wanna give you all my sincerest thanks for sticking through the apocalypse. ;A; <3 I've since formatted my laptop and reinstalled everything so it's running fresh! @Those asking about the feather thing: Plumerians have six feathers in total. Two on each side of the head, and two on the tail. If you look at the mascot plumerian on the front of this thread you'll quickly notice that it follows these rules. It's really not up for interpretation as it's a fact of the species more or less. Most people just don't know/care.
adult - artist - she/he/they
just j is fine, too.

Just going to say, that while the mascot is a good reference to go off of, most aspects of this species are meant to be mostly up to the artist's interpretation. Just like the canine/feline thing awhile back, it can really just go either way, from what I understand.
So if it's drawn with 8 feathers or 6, or 4, that's up to the artist until Char makes a statement about it c:
It's not a big deal anyways, if it's drawn differently

@M00N - that is sooo cute! I love that art. <3Also I'm still open for commissions for dA points! I'd love to improve my pixel style by drawing your plumies.
link to my journal entry about commissionsI'm also going to start doing free pixels for random plumies of my choice! I'll probably post them here when I get them done to let the owners know. ^^
