Echowhisker stuck his head back in the nursery. "He's coming with me to get something to eat, for Daisyrain. You may if you'd like to, I'm perfectly fine with that." He replied, flicking his tail.

Applestorm watched the apprentice bound away before padding across to the freshkill pile. He picked a small squirrel and sat down, eating it as he looked around the camp.


Fawnpaw nodded once he'd finished. "I'm sure the whole Clan is greatful, if you hadn't become an apprentice we may not have a medicine cat today." She mewed, looking at Larkfeather.


Timberpaw suddenly remembered. "Oh yeah! Thanks Ivyfrost." She squeaked before pushing her nose through the den entrance. "Thymecloud?" The apprentice whispered. "Applestorm wants us to go on the dawn patrol with Wolfheart." The fae looked around for the warrior, but it was hard to see in the gloom.

Larkfeather smiled,"True, funny enough I was originally going to be a warrior. The medicine cat had a apprentice already, until they...disappeared. Im glad they made me take this path though, I was a horrible fighter and couldn't hunt to save my life."

The old tom had a bittersweet look on his face at the mention of the old apprentice. "That was quite a sad time in the clan," he said, his voice holding a bit of sadness. "They made a good choice having you as a medicine cat. StarClan is mysterious, but they never let us down.

Larkfeather sighed,"I wish we knew what happened to them. I've tried to speak to Starclan...but they never answer." His mentor was weird with him as apprentice, never letting him go off on his own, as if he expected him to disappear too.

Larkfeather sighed, thinking back to all the times when spoke to Starclan. Everytime be brought up the apprentice they said that it wasn't time for him to know. All the medicine cat knows is they aren't dead, or didn't go to Starclan because he never saw them there.
