Hades sorta guards it. It's more like him making sure people just leave the world alone since the city of Hell and about half of the reapers live in the Underworld. Hades has a fairly good relationship with his husband. I'm sorta going of the version of the story where Persephone willingly chose to stay in the Underworld.

faraday ~ What do you mean by evolved from? As in the now starring characters were Charlotte and Lee but they slowly changed enough where they could be considered completely separate characters? Also, good luck on the novel~ THat is some nice art you got of them, by the way.

I went glancing through my things and realized I got and made a lot of stuff and never shared.


and creepier version made by Mononok. I drew Yix way back in October. They are classified as a Rot ( a soul that was damned, refused to repent for whatever they did,escaped Hell, and has been wandering around the Underworld eating people for a very long time.) Rots are very rarely dealt with since it wouldn't be worth the effort to kill one and they are fairly easy to avoid.
Yix is actually a small fluff,about the size of a small dog, that fuses bones together to make a giant, monstrous, exoskeleton of sorts.


I drew them as a set that went with my roommates OCs that we are rping in a much happier AU compared to what happens in canon. They are just a bunch of teenagers doing dumb and sometimes illegal things.
I'm falling more in love with Ross (the one on the left) and her saltiness the more I rp her. Even though she acts super tough and not into affection, she really does want people to care about her.
Matthew is sort of a revamp of a really old scrapped character. He has one of my favourite types of magics that my worlds have. I haven't thought of an official name I'm going to call it, so far it's just goo magic. Pretty much, the magic user manifests energy in the form of goo-like material. Matthew is a rather happy and optimistic person that tries to make others happy.

Do you prefer to adopt or design your own OCs?

I used to be into adopting characters, but I never really loved any of them so I wound up trading/selling all the designs away.

Now I just design all my OCs myself even though I have easily 150+ and have only done full designs for 22 and (even worse) reference sheets for only 11 (and 4 of them need to be redrawn and partially redesigned). Plus, I'm going to make as many comics with my Ocs in them as I can so it will be far easier if I have just designed them all myself.

before gabe and nico were dating - when nico had a crush on gabe - he got super jealous over it. which is to be expected i guess. but since they're now dating, he's actually a lot more fine w/ it - him and his half-brother [...i just remembered that they're actually not half-brothers oops wording. but its easier to call him that so] may be rivals but they're also super good pals. and, as i said, they all participate in roleplays w/ each other so :p tbh i imagine 90% of the time nico needs to be saved by gabe in their rps. probably bc gabe is v adventurous and nico is just too lazy

yix is super cool !! i really like how they aren't just one solid colour [since they appear to be rather skeleton-like ?? unless the darker colours are shading]. and the concept of rots is super cool too ! why wouldn't it be worth the effort to kill one, though?? is it because they're too strong or to do so would require something special or ?? o:

and i just remembered that i drew a human!saevum. i love saevum he's so grumpy

saevum p much has the attitude of "i hate everything" and he generally doesn't like people much. but, he's also super insecure, so even he is included in the list of things that he hates *pats his head*
he acts spiteful in a very over-the-top way. this is primarily to cover up his insecurities and make himself appear stronger than he actually is. also, he usually struggles to get along with others [he generally doesn't like people, as said before] so he thinks "well hey i might as well impress them w/ my spitefulness"
he's v pessimistic and over-reactive. he's kinda "all bark and no bite" since he can act somewhat aggressive but wont actually do anything
he's p observational and also creative, although he doesn't often show these to others. he super loves to plot things such as stories. he's the type of person who has 100000 story plots and rarely ever writes any up. he also really likes ice cream
there is one person who he doesn't hate !! well... sometimes. that'd be his boyfriend, mortis, who redkuchen owns. he also generally doesn't like... a lot of things oops. their similarities are what draws them together, i think, but also causes them to argue sometimes. tho they still love each other :p

like if you look at my ocs who have the most art/development/attention then that's p definitely the ones i made oOPS
so i prefer to design my own ocs bc a) its easier for me to connect and b) they're usually easier for me to draw [such as my humanoid ocs which i made having hair which im able to draw oops]

TenMomentsTill- Yep, exactly! The characters in the novel started out as Charlotte and Lee, but as time has gone on, their histories and personalities have diverged enough so they are now separate characters altogether.

weegeestar5- awww thank you! Well, they're two teenagers who live in an ambiguous coastal town somewhere in the Pacific Northwest of the USA/Canada. It's purposefully ambiguous because they aren't really supposed to "exist" in our actual world. They live in the early 1990's and Charlotte dresses like she's into the grunge scene when she isn't at all. Lee is her only close friend, and they both do well in school, although Charlotte rarely does her homework. Lee has a very religious family, and Charlotte is almost part of his family. Lee's mother loves having Charlotte around, thus Charlotte spends most of her time over at their household. Charlotte has a broken family consisting of an addict mother and an absent father, which is another reason she's grown so attached to Lee's family. They grew up together and are two peas in a pod. :-)

I love both, but I usually design my own because I can never get adopts, I usually don't have DA points, nor do I have Paypal. It also sucks not to have Paypal because I can never really get art.

tenmomentstill: Shaun has a hard time accepting that the world actually did end and he's not imagining it, especially since he has more visual hallucinations without his medicine. He panics and takes off from the group at least once but they end up finding him before he gets badly hurt. He ends up relying heavily on the others but hates his lack of independence and feeling like a burden. I don't want his friends to be a ~miracle cure~ for his mental illness like a lot of stories, but they do provide support and if nothing else he gets to the point where he isn't constantly freaking out.

I'm assuming Hades' missing eye is connected to the eye in his staff thing? I'd like to hear more about that and what it's used for.
I like Azrael, he seems cute.
Was Yix a dog-thing before he died or is that just a representation of his soul?
Ross seems nice. What's their connection in the AU? That species is also super cool

Martinez, post-apocalyptic mailman until the injury that caused him to lose his memory, after which he focused more on the consequences of that. His real name's not Martinez, but it was the first name he remembered when he woke up since he'd been to the town (in cali) recently. His parents were travelling merchants, he got a taste for wandering and started working as a courier when he was young.

He's intelligent, perceptive and has great social skills, but prefers to seem like a bumpkin, making him look more trustworthy and harmless, and as such making people friendlier and more likely to give him information, since he likes to keep tabs on everything. He has more influence than he lets on, looking like the overly-friendly mailman who does good deeds out of the kindness of his heart, while he manipulates things behind the scenes. Though he does good work and improves things it's pretty unsettling to anyone close enough to him to realize what he's doing.

He's affectionate and touchy-feely, acts a bit goofier than he really is, is the kind of person who'd flirt with everyone and casually tell anyone he's friendly with he loves them but doesn't often get very attached. He doesn't like to stay in one place, is scared to form real meaningful connections, and has trust issues, so it sucks for him when he starts actually pining for someone, especially since they have no idea he's flirting and not just being himself.

Since he's lost his memory he doesn't have a real identity or sense of belonging anywhere. No matter what he does he feels like he's acting, dishonest even with himself. Physically he has good endurance but is a total weakling, slow, useless at stealth, and doesn't carry/is afraid of guns. Between his intelligence and flair for the dramatic he has rather creative and unorthodox ways of dealing with fights.

He likes music, the desert, pre-war books, and travelling. Dislikes anything messing with his hair, large cities, suits, and guns. He never gets his memory back.

Yix isn't a solid colour. I partially based his colours off a gift skull I was fixing. It wouldn't be worth the effort to kill a Rot since they normally can easily trash reapers and aren't all that hard to avoid. Rots tend to be very big and very loud.

I really like that you aren't going to just miracle cure Shaun with the power of friendship. I honestly really hate that trope.
Hades' missing eye is connected to his bident. It's pretty much just magic that let's him see farther into the distance. Which is pretty helpful since the Underworld is a rather flat, mostly desert area. Yix wasn't a dog thing before he died. It's closer to a representation of his soul, like you said, than anything. Pretty much, he just is a soul with a tangible form. Ross and Matthew are just dumb friends. Matthew spends most of his time hanging out with the group trying his best to keep his friends out of trouble.

Echo. ~ I get that it can kinda be confusing when you haven't posted for a bit. omg I think that's one of the most beautiful ways that I've heard their relationship described as tbh. and thank you !! sometimes when he's in a mood he'll lift up the hood of his coat over his head and the fluff on the hood makes him look v cute oOPS

there's not really many problems aside from the fact that they tend to argue over dumb things a lot !
tbh it's more of a petty thing - like a common sibling rivalry !! they try to out-do one another a lot but are still best pals
tbh nico's willing to travel if gabe is, but he's not the type to initiate travelling. he's the type of person who complains at some point on every travel
oh haha he is. that reminds me, i should probably write some more interactions between him and his boyfriend at some point

i have two contenders for a favourite tbh
though its hard enough for me to just narrow it down to these two
that would be zadiice [zadiia x redkuchen's aelice] and tiizir [khazir x redkuchen's tiidus]
zadiice;;
i think i discussed this with red. at least im p sure. anyway, i think they meet because one of them [probably aelice ?] gets hurt or something and the other finds and takes care of them for a little while. zadiia refused to let her travel back home by herself when she was still hurt and either went with her or she stayed at his i guess :p they soon became best friends !! however, they ended up developing crushes on one another oops. however, for aGES neither realised the other had a crush on them and neither would admit it [even though it was like.... sUPER obvious to literally everyone else]. one day, when zadiia was feeling super stressed and was crying, aelice was wondering how to cheer him up. she first insulted someone that zadiia didn't like, and, when that didn't work, the only other thing that came to mind for her was to kiss him. after that, they soon started dating !!
i feel like their relationship consists a lot of making sure that the other is safe and happy. both will willingly protect the other and defend the other when they're insulted. zadiia helps aelice to calm down a bit when she gets angry, and she helps to boost up his confidence

ahhh their meeting. they met on a chat client, but both had recognised one another from occasionally seeing each other from a distance. they got off to a rather sassy start and they nearly fought. however, when khazir actually saw tiidus clearly, he was rather surprised - mainly since he didn't expect tiidus to be attractive. so he quickly called off the fight. from there, they occasionally met up [or im p sure they do ??] and they would often sass each other tbh. however, khazir eventually started developing feelings for tiidus and accidentally flirting with him. tiidus was p oblivious to what was going on until he asked another OC, who told him what was going on. anyway, khazir denies his feelings up until he accidentally admits them. tiidus freaks out a bit, and doesn't talk to khazir for a few days whilst he thinks about what to do. however, he eventually agrees to date him, and they've been boyfriends since !! [actually, if i'm not mistaken, their 2-year anniversary of being an OC ship should be in may this year c:]
some of the next things will be somewhat headcanon based since i still have to discuss things with red :p khazir likes to make sure that tiidus is feeling happy, safe and confident. he will often listen to tiidus talk about his day or himself - and, as tiidus is fairly conceited, this can be a very long conversation. but khazir doesn't mind. tiidus helps khazir by listening to his feelings and what he has to say a lot - no one else in the group really talks w/ him about his feelings, so its good for khazir c: tiidus really likes maths so khazir, someone who doesn't really take an interest in academic things, often makes some attempt to at least try to remember what he says about maths to impress him - not something that tiidus requires, but it's nice anyway !!

i tend to write about my ocs a lot !
they range from stories to conversations to silly comic ideas to even a poem once !!
looking at my files, i think khazir has the most stories that feature him [and likely quite a number of conversations too]
tbh hes just super fun to write. his personality makes writing him v fun, tho my rl friend said he'd be challenging for her to portray accurately [or something. i cant remember]. he's just so casual and sassy
and his relationships are also the best. him denying his feelings for tiidus is one of the funniest things I've written tbh and seeing his interactions with ackdan [who he doesn't like] is also hilarious
