When the basket is full he sets it down, not quite sure why anyone had to hold it. "I think that's good, Nuala," he murmurs. "If there are any left, leave 'em for someone else."

"There's only one." She smiled at it and gripped it gingerly by the tail, lifting it out and putting it gently in the water, back behind the waterfall where it belonged. "Let's go!" She declared, gripping the basket in her teeth. "Can you grab the other side?" She asked through her teeth, trying to speak around the basket.

He nods and picks up the other side. "Back to the picnic?" he asks, the words muffled and strange-sounding.

She nodded and started off with a spring in her step, and a smile on her face. "Are you enjoying the creek so far? It's pretty nice, right? My favorite spot to come when I need a swim. Or just to think." She said mutedly.

"It's calming," he allows. He found himself wondering how many times she had been here with Seth, and jealous clutches his heart.

Nuala didn't seem to notice it, and set her end of the basket down on the blanket as they arrived back. "There. Perfect." She smiled.

He sets his end down as well. "Seems so," he agrees. "Do you want to swim a bit more before lunch or are you hungry?' he asks, sniffing out the nuts and berries she had dumped.

Rudy was waiting for an answer, but it never came. Nuala had just vanished from behind him.

He turns around in confusion, frowning. "Nuala?" he calls, trying to find her.

There's still no response, only the sound of galloping paw steps in the distance, getting closer and closer. "BELLYFLOP!!!" Nuala cried, launching herself into the air and splaying her legs out.
