Applestorm watched the apprentice bound away before padding across to the freshkill pile. He picked a small squirrel and sat down, eating it as he looked around the camp.


Fawnpaw smiled as she began to rub the paste on Hawkfang's joints. "I can hardly believe it," she joked, looking at her mentor. "Imagining Larkfeather so small, making mistakes." She gave a sheepish smile as she looked at her mentor.


Timberpaw suddenly remembered. "Oh yeah! Thanks Ivyfrost." She squeaked before pushing her nose through the den entrance. "Thymecloud?" The apprentice whispered. "Applestorm wants us to go on the dawn patrol with Wolfheart." The fae looked around for the warrior, but it was hard to see in the gloom.

"Not at all! What would you like to eat, I guess? I can search for it." He looked back over at honeykit, and used his tail to blanket the coughing kit. "Maybe I could take willowkit with me to the prey pile, and he can help me pick out something to share.

Larkfeather flicked his ears at the Tom and apprentice. "Hm, I like to keep those days in the past,"he turned to Fawnpaw,"Mistakes aren't what make us who we are, it's how we recover from the mistakes. That's how I survived the massive embarrassment that I got whenever I messed up."

Fawnpaw nodded. "Understandable, but what if it's huge and you can't really recover?" She asked, thinking about a mistake such as wrongly imprisoning a cat. However, then she thought that you probably could recover from that, it would just be difficult.

"Applestorm wants us to go on the dawn patrol with Wolfheart." The fae looked around for the warrior, but it was hard to see in the gloom.

She rolled out of the den and into the center of camp with her sister chacing behind her. She stood up as Eclispekit nipped her
"Hey!" she squeaked "no biting". She got tackled again "Ella" the tiny kit hissed under her breathe as a thorn was in her paw

She nipped at her sisters legs and then tackled Paisleykit again "Youre so silly" she giggled as they tumbled around some more
"Calm it princess" she teased. She plucked the thorn out her her sisters paw. "Wanna go again?" she giggled and then rolled in the dirt

Daisyrain
"Oh I'm fine with anything really," she mewed, settling herself back down in the den. "Thank you." The queen's ears pricked at the two kits rolling around in the clearing, she stuck her head out of the den slightly. "Paisleykit, Eclipsekit, don't be too rough now."


Honeykit
Her coughing subsided a bit and she curled into the tom's tail.


Willowkit
"Yay! Let's gwo," he mewed excitedly.


Comfreypaw
Comfreypaw nodded, padding behind her mentor quickly. "What kind of training are we doing today?"


Hawkfang
"I can relate," the old tom laughed. It was a raspy laugh that shows his age. "I'm just lucky that no one but StarClan lives to know the mistakes I made as an apprentice. Well, Cinderstar has experienced quite a few." He paused, shifting in the den. "You didn't make many mistakes, just like Fawnpaw, only little ones. This clan is lucky to have been blessed by StarClan with you both."

Larkfeather thought back to his days as a kit. "I remember when I was a kit my littermates and I almost didn't get to become apprentices. The whole clan was talking about it for a few days,"he remembered hearing the whispers people made.

Echowhisker nodded. "Alright, daisyrain. I'll be back in a moment. C'mon, willowkit, lets go!" He had said the last part with enthusiasm, while carefully darting out of the den, and waiting outside.

Larkfeather sighed , sitting down and wrapping his tail around his paws. "My littermates, Eaglekit and Wolfkit at the time, were too adventurous for they own good. They overheard the Warriors talking about a fox nest that they needed to find. My littermates thought they could help by finding the best, they snuck out in the middle of the night, I followed them to make sure they didn't get hurt. The camp freaked out when they saw we were gone, thinking a fox got in. The leader at the time was furious and wanted to punish us by not allowing us to be apprentices, Cinderstar was the deputy at the time. She reasoned with him and got him to delay our apprenticeship instead. I owe Cinderstar greatly for that deed."
