Severin's words settled the irritation Estelle had been feeling earlier, his moods seemed to be infectious...or perhaps it was her, she'd spent so long listening and sympathizing with the pains of others that it was now second nature. A smile on her face Estelle nodded her agreement "Very well I look forward to tomorrow." she said scanning the road ahead of them. The rhythmic tapping of their shoes against the ground filled the silence that settled over the pair of creatures. Though she didn't mind the silence Estelle couldn't help but feel Severins' gaze on her, keeping her own eyes on the road ahead Estelle could feel a blush warming her cheeks. Estelle was used to being skipped over, no one paid attention to the help and even a governess who was always somewhere between a servant and a lady was made to be invisible to anyone but the children. It was strange normally Estelle was able to keep herself composed no matter the situation but at the moment with this man, no, this vampire Estelle kept losing her self-control. In the hopes of regaining some composure Estelle focused solely on her breathing and eventually the blush that had stained her cheeks faded and her face returned to it's calm mask. It was then that Severin's velvety voice shattered the calm silence, glancing up at him Estelle was surprised by his careful choice of words, what he was saying was true they had shared so much already tonight so just what was it that made him hesitate so much? Oak eyes clouded in confusion Estelle was stunned by the next words to come out of the vampires mouth; beautiful. The word stunned Estelle her eyes going wide all her composure gone again like a leaf on the wind, her cheeks bright red Estelle immediately began to study the ground. After a moment the young djinn cleared her throat "I-I suppose the only words I can offer you is my gratitude, so thank you very much for such a compliment." she said her voice soft. Glancing up at the sky Estelle could see that in the time she'd met Severin the moon had managed to climb much higher into the sky than Estelle had originally intended to be out for. Unlike Severin, Estelle could not spend the entire night out and then sleep all day or even most of the day in fact tomorrow she would have to wake the children early so they could pack and leave for the country before noon. Sighing softly Estelle turned her gaze back to her vampiric companion Estelle came to a halt "I apologize, though I have truly enjoyed our time together tonight I fear I must return home," she apologized, "If I'm to get the children prepared for their trip I'll need to wake them early which means I will only have a few hours sleep at best." she explained clearly disappointed that she was cutting their time short.

☠ Severin Chevalier ☠
______________________________________________________
Time: Night Feeling: Talkative Location: North of main street Tagged: Estelle

Throughout his life, Severin had been one accustomed to the night, to the dead silence that fell like a heavy dark cloud suffocating the life within the city. He never thought of the quiet. It never occurred to him that silence could be like a void, until Estelle's soft footsteps paused, as he delivered his last sentence. The silence bothered him for the first time in many years, until he detected the delicate rose blooming across Estelle's cheeks. He watched as she gazed at the sky above, finding himself at last unable to sense her mood. A million thoughts raced through his mind as he stood there, each moment had felt longer than his lifetime. Had he said the right words, and why did he say them? Was there a parcel of humanity still within him that had lain dormant for so long? He was amazed at how in a lifetime of certainty, this fair girl had brought him a moment of doubt. He tried to conceal it. The silence was broken by her gentle voice. Though soft it shattered the silence like glass hitting stone. It was harsh to Severin, yet delicate like the tinkering of a wine glass clicked against another. It took him a moment to process her words. He was drunk on moonlight, everything had a characteristic of glowing with singular brilliance. As her words settled in his awareness, he turned to her, smiling. "That will be fine, lovely Estelle," he said, "why you are like a star. A lovely blue one, framed in the night sky. Well, it's late so my thoughts are pouring out without any consideration. Perhaps it is best we do part ways now. I shall see you on the morrow. Good night, Estelle." It had been an abrupt warning of departure, yet somehow Severin slowed the time, with his thoughtful mood. Even the gentle breeze, seemed to stop, perhaps it had.

Estelle felt a smile playing on her lips at Severin's reply, in those final moments time seemed to slow to a crawl and for once Estelle was grateful that it had. A blush staining her cheeks Estelle was astounded by the flattery that poured itself from Severin's lips, to be compared to a star was something that only her mother had told her and yet coming from him it held such different meaning. Chuckling softly Estelle nodded "Good night to you as well Severin," the djinn said lowering her veil once again, "I'll meet you at trafalgar square at half past noon." she added anticipation for tomorrow already glowing in her eyes. Not wanting to postpone their farewell any longer Estelle turned quickly and headed back down the road in the direction they'd come from. Almost immediately the night seemed just a little more colder and alone than it normally did, with no one to share the atmosphere with Estelle lost interest in her surroundings focusing solely on heading home quickly. The street lights burned brightly casting shadows that flickered and danced on the stone and buildings around her, night had never frightened her but being alone made it all feel so much more different.
It didn't take long for Estelle to reach the Ayers family townhouse, in comparison to their country residence it was small but it was only intended for the family to stay during the season and other prolonged visits to the city. The red brick house had a small garden out front that led around to the back and it was there that Estelle found her way back in, before she'd left Estelle had made sure to leave her window open and as she made her way to the back she could see by the fluttering white lace curtains that it still was. Gathering her skirts in one hand Estelle bent her knees and with an all powerful push leaped off from the ground and landed softly on the sill of her room window. Looking back Estelle scanned the area swiftly and satisfied that no one could've seen her slipped into her now frigid room. Lighting her bedside lamp Estelle was about to change into her nightshift when a knock at her door disturbed her. Frowning Estelle swiftly shut her window, closed the curtains, and on her way to the door scooped up one of the many books that lined her shelf so that she had an excuse for being dressed so late at night. Opening her door Estelle was surprised to find the small form of Rosalie standing in front of her door hands balled into fists and a trifled look in her large green eyes, "Rosalie? What are you doing out of bed at this hour?" Estelle asked her voice barely above a whisper.
Watching the child fidget and fret Rosalie studied the ground and finally in a small sweet voice said "I had a bad dream..."
Sighing Estelle took one of the girls hand in hers "You know I won't always be here," she began but deciding against a lecture this late at night cut herself off and instead chuckled softly "come on, I'll tuck you back in no nightmares this time I promise."
With the girl now visibly more relaxed the pair headed back down the hall towards the children's room hand in hand. The room itself was a child's dream, a toy chest at the end of all three beds the other two (George and Darren) were already asleep breathing evenly and softly. Taught since she was a child herself to take care of others Estelle tucked the girl back into her bed with practiced ease and stroking the childs' hair began singing a lullaby her mother had sung to her when she was little.
"Are you going to Scarborough fair?
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Remember me to one who lives there
He once was a true love of mine
Tell him to make me a cambric shirt
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Without no seam nor needlework
Then he'll be a true love of mine...
"
Though not the best singer by any means Estelle's voice was soft and lilting giving the song it's desired calming effect. Very soon Rosalie's eyes flickered shut and her breathing became more even and without even an ounce of her power Estelle soon had the child falling fast asleep. Once she was sure that the girl would be asleep until morning Estelle stood slowly and quietly left the room shutting the door behind her and headed back to her own room to give herself at least a few hours of sleep before tomorrow.

Creed Century
The Cursed Dead
Night || Busy || Streets || No one

Night was always when Creed was out an about, the dark helping to hide his ghastly appearance. His hat was slightly tilted forward even in the darkness, and his coat collar covered the lower portion of his face. He was on his way to Elizabeth's shop for the fourth time that month, not just because he was thinking about getting a new shirt, but because interesting people tended to show up there, people with answers. Over the years he had managed to meet a few older vampires, even older than himself, who were able to give him clues of who he may have been. So far he had learned his name may have been Benjamin, Patrice, Jonathan, or Lucas, he could have been born in Ireland, London, or France, and the reason he had become what he did was most likely because of a curse put on him by a sorcerer, sorceress, witch, or someone similar. It was not as much information as he would have liked to have had after so many years of searching, but it was all he had, and it was better than nothing.

Elizabeth's deceivingly small shop was a matter of meters away now, and he was eager to see if anyone was inside besides the human tailor tonight. Upon reaching the door, he was somewhat disappointed, though he did not show it. The shop was closed for reasons he could not think of, leaving him with nothing to do and nowhere to go. Had he still had his face, he would have been grinning at this point.

Well, he surely was not going to let this night go to waste just because he did not have any current plans. Mischief was everywhere this time of night, and where there was mischief, there was always fun. Creed glanced up and down the street for any ideas. Maybe someone interesting would pass by.

☠ Severin Chevalier ☠
______________________________________________________
Time: Morning Feeling: Groggy Location: The graveyard Tagged: No one, yet

Few hours had passed since Severin watched Estelle walk away into the night. He passed these solitary hours sauntering the wide and vacant streets, as he was wont to do, trying to entertain himself with the barrage of details pouring into his watchful eyes. However, tonight, noting each off color brick and chip in the pavement just couldn't suffice. He eventually returned to the graveyard, laying languidly over the verdant grass and cold gray stones. He tried to rest, but his mind continued to race. His body could calm, but his head refused to. The hours seemed longer and the frigid air so much colder, but he pressed onward, knowing not why. For once, the utter silence of the streets amazed him. Now and then, he would hear a breath or scent a trace of human life, but he paid little mind. He laid so still, that in the monochrome of the night, a visitor may fancy him for one of the statues. Only his crimson waistcoat belied the breath of life within him yet.

And so, he passed the hours, considering himself rather pathetic for having done so little with himself. On a normal night, he would find his violin or other belongings from within the nooks of London. Then, he couldn't bring himself to. Of course, he couldn't sleep during the night, but it was equally hard to sleep through the day. The insomnia of his past life plagued him into the present. When day broke, the sun stung his eyes and he flailed to cover them. "Ach!" he exclaimed, throwing an arm across his eyes. He grit his teeth momentarily. This look of consternation soon faded from his visage, as he willed himself to overcome the discomfort. He reached within his pocket and placed some tinted spectacles across the bridge of his nose. In truth, he hated wearing them, but it was worth the ability to see. Once looking through the dark lenses, he blinked slowly, exhaling in relief. He slowly rose to his feet, feeling as the sun drained him of his powers and vitality. He took some moments to fetch his hat from the nearby tree and placed it upon his head. He clenched and relaxed his fists, remembering how it felt to be human. It felt weak. He scarcely liked it. Though he still walked with enviable grace and dignity, he lost some of his charm and fluidity in the day. He disliked this, too, but he willed himself to bear it, too. There was simply less spring in his step and less honey in his voice. Still, there was not a fellow in London who couldn't envy at least some aspect of the vampire's proud gait and dapper clothing. Still, time remained until his meeting with Estelle, but this venture into day brought its own curiosities and pleasures to discover.

Lynette Dufour ~ Ghost ~ Location; Riverbank ~ Tags; Open
Lynn ambled at a leisurely pace along the bank of the river Thames, satchel bouncing gently at her waist. The sun was very low in the sky and the lamp-lighters were beginning to start their night-time duty. One who was knowledgeable in the ways of the supernatural would see that as it got increasingly dark, Lynette's skin brightened and a pale silver glow would start to surround her figure, and be able to work out that this small girl was no human, but a spectre. However, the few people out on the riverbank tonight were merely here for a walk, and were too caught up in their own business to notice the ghostly aura of the silent girl as she seemingly floated down the path. A very small frown graced her usually emotionless features - there were more people out tonight than she would have liked. Her pace started to quicken, the spirit only wanting to be around these loud humans for as long as necessary.

As she continued her walk - perhaps she would stay the night at a small church graveyard and replenish her strength, or stop down a dark, unused alleyway - she noticed a paper boy selling the last of his stock to the passers-by. Lynn did not need to glance for more than a second to ascertain that the headline was of another of those mysterious 'serial killings', the ones where all the blood had been completely and impossibly drained from the victim. An inaudible sigh escaped the silent ghost's lips - it seemed that the supernatural population of London was slowly increasing. Not that Lynette was complaining - more victims, more treasures.

She had left the riverbank now, and was walking slowly away from it, along more empty alleyways towards what her senses picked up as the scent of a fresh death. She soon came to a dead end but did not stop her feet. Instead, as she neared the bricked up path, the seemingly solid girl faded into the more silvery life form most people would recognise as a ghost's. This form enabled her to pass straight through the bricks, onto another empty street, the oil street lamps not yet lit. The girl 'solidified' and continued her journey, as if their had been no interruption to it at all.

Sitting on the bed beside Rosalind, Estelle smiled stroking the girls' head reassuringly "tu vais être bien." Estelle whispered smiling mischievously. Her golden haired charge looked up at her with a charming smile "c'est vrai mais mon frères me taquiner donc." she replied glancing at the two boys who were now finished packing and had begun to toss a beautifully made football around the room. Sending Rosalind a sly wink Estelle stood and easily caught the leather oblong object and in turn gave them stern glares "Now all of you must promise to behave," she said, "and I still expect you all to do your readings." With her last words a collective groan emanated from her pupils while a light chuckle passed through her own lips.
After more farewells Estelle found herself in the entrance hall left behind like one of the servants, which was precisely what she was...or at least what she was supposed to be, the rules of society when it came to her profession were and always had been blurred. As she headed back to her room Estelle found herself pondering what exactly her life would be, for as long as she could remember her mother had always looked after other peoples children and now it seemed that she would be doomed to the same fate. Not that this was a meaningless existence but it left very little room for a life beyond that, she barely had time to feed let alone find friends and enjoy life. Once in her own room Estelle took one last look in her mirror, the girl reflected there was the mask of a prim and proper governess only underneath was the real Estelle lurking. It was then that the djinn recalled Severin's words form the night before about being a lovely blue star and almost instantly she felt her cheeks warming and a tightness in her chest that was completely foreign to her. Was her excitement to see the vampire again a good thing? In her admittedly short life Estelle had learned that feelings like trust and love were better left to the humans of the world, she'd never wanted any part of it until now. Pinning back a few loose strands of hair Estelle did a final check in the mirror before heading out to meet with her new vampire acquaintance.
Wearing a plain dress of pastel blue Estelle made her way to trafalgar square on foot. In the light of day the once quiet streets became drowned in the noise of passing carriages, street vendors announcing their wares, beggars harassing the men and women of means, and of course the din of passing conversations. Though she may have been in a minority Estelle much preferred the streets of London at night especially now that very few humans dared to show their faces for fear of the mysterious serial killer, or perhaps in reality killers.Making her way quickly through the crowds Estelle finally found herself standing in the shade of Nelson's Column her eyes flickering through the crowd in her hope to catch a glimpse of Severin.

☠ Severin Chevalier ☠
______________________________________________________
Time: Night Feeling: Talkative Location: North of main street Tagged: Estelle

Severin sauntered down to Trafalgar Square, amazed at how loud the daytime streets could be. More than once, he was hassled to buy newspapers and trinkets or to spare a pence for a poor young urchin. Severin responded to these requests, with chilling glares, laughing as these rascals averted their eyes nervously and felt their blood curdle. Though he truly hated the busyness of the day, it was amusing to interact with so many humans at a time, how he both attracted and repulsed passer-bys. They could detect in him ill intent. Still, they couldn't resist his wicked charm. He shot them devilish smirks, knowing very well the ripple of influence he sent through the pool of people. He never could travel without being notice, unless of course, he truly wanted to be unseen. It was not in Severin's nature to shy from attention, he loved to be adored. The only thing worse than drawing bad attention, was drawing none at all. His vanity shone through as he ambled through the square, wondering just when he would encounter Estelle. He was confident that she had come, without a single doubt or uncertainty.

As he passed the old brick buildings, he outstretched his fingers to feel their cold red walls. As he passed beside the windows, he noted the reflections in the shining pane, remembering that he didn't have one. It had been so long that he forgot how different he was from the humans. These fine nuances such as his lack of reflection were so obvious, yet always unseen. He took a moment to admire his lack of reflection. Standing before the window of a cafe, he touched his hand to the glass. Even as he touched the surface, he never could be mirrored within the window's frame. A man stepped out of the coffee shop, looking over Severin cautiously.

"Sir," he addressed the vampire, "are you feeling quite alright?"

Severin withdrew his hand quickly. "Yes," he said. "Yes, I suppose I've merely read too many poems. They induce such a dreamy and bizarre state of mind. They make one feel like staring at their reflect––"

He cut off his sentence, stepping away from the glass. "They make one feel like staring into themselves. Into the the very core of their being and wonder about themselves. Who they perceive themselves to be. Perhaps I have simply lost sleep, I spend my nights thinking."

The man sighed. "Well, to end on good terms and leave you be," he said, "I'll consider you a philosopher, although perhaps you think a little too much. Judging from your pallor, some sleep would do you well."

Severin smiled awkwardly. "Yes, yes, of course," he said, "thank you, haha. I will try not to drink so much tea, the caffeine goes straight to my nerves. Well, good day, sir."

Severin walked away quickly, embarrassed that he had become distracted on such a short walk.

Time passed and though Estelle was certain that Severin would keep his word she couldn't help the small shadow of doubt that was festering in the back of her mind. Brown eyes darting from person to person Estelle felt a small panic begin to well up inside of her; had she trusted the wrong person again? Was he ever even real? Clearing her mind Estelle took a deep breathes obviously her long nights and early mornings were starting to get to the young djinn of course Severin would come. As if those had been the magic words Estelle caught a glimpse of a familiar tall dark figure near the edge of the square. A bright smile gracing her usual serious features Estelle began walking towards the vampire excitement glinting in her eyes. Once she was close enough Estelle made eye contact with Severin and as etiquette demanded gave him a small bow in greeting "It's wonderful to see you again Mr. Chevalier." she said softly. Upon closer inspection Estelle couldn't help but notice just how pale the vampire truly was in comparison to living breathing humans. The dark tinted glasses hid his eyes from view making it difficult to make out his maroon eyes but not impossible.

Severin bowed in response, removing his hat and placing it over his heart. He smiled brightly. "I am delighted to see you as always," he said, replacing his hat. He looked about the square. "The world––it's so much different in daylight. It feels almost alien to me. Ha, I can scarcely recognize aught but the buildings. Still, I dare say I'm coming to enjoy it." Severin felt the sun warm his pallid skin and became aware of just how cold his body usually was. The nocturnal absence of life made him feel alive, but out in the lively day he felt more dead. His realization is akin to that of a human in the barren winter wilderness who becomes aware that he is the only living being, a flame burning low in a world of ice. Severin noted that Estelle was so much more human in appearance than him. She lacked the deathly pallor or the aversion to sun. She looked equally beautiful in sunlight or moonlight, though the sun revealed a different beauty about her. The night emphasized her supernatural lustre of blue light, and the day revealed loveliness that could be found in a mortal. She seemed to exist in both worlds when Severin could only truly exist in one. Severin looked up to the clock tower, assessing the time. He took out his pocket watch and set it carefully to the exact minute. He had no true need for the watch but it had become such a habit that he even set his watch in the silver light of the moon. Yet, other than setting his watch, he never even glanced at it. "Well," he said, "have you any preference of place to go?" He asked. "There are many lovely cafés, and I am well acquainted with the buildings, but I believe you understand the daytime city far beyond my knowledge. After all, last night I led the walk, so if you wish you may guide me today."
