Nodding her head in approval of the Leader's choice of deputy, she yelled out his name with everyone else. Her tail dropped slightly when she heard the names of the mentors, but she immediately fixed it, hoping nobody had noticed. She had wanted an apprentice, but she would get one eventually.

Robin sighed, turning away from the fox-den as he received no answer. He supposed that the other scent had been just a figment of his imagination, and the mew could very well have been the sound of a bird or mouse. Speaking of mice... Lifting his nose, he scented the air in hopes of finding something to eat. It'd been a while since his last meal, and darkness was falling which meant that certain prey-creatures would be coming out of their dens. Robin didn't sense anything yet, but he continued carefully padding through the forest. He thought about the clan cats, and how they must have mounds of food to feed all of them. Then again, he didn't know how many cats were in a clan, and they certainly didn't look as well fed as some kittypets he'd seen. There's got to be something in this place to eat. After a few minutes, the tom gave up on his search. He could go hunting in the morning; for now he was content to curl up under a holly bush and sleep.

Shadowpaw didn't meet the nose-touch. Instead, she bared her fangs angrily. "I'm not just an apprentice, you know. I'm a cat. I'm not touching noses."

Doveflight was a bit taken aback. "You will do what the leader tells you to. Notice that all the other apprentices are following orders"

"I do notice." Shadowpaw said. "I never said I didn't."

Foxstripe looked at Fernstar, about to stand to be called deputy. The second before she stood, she heard Coyotefur's name being called out. Her pale green eyes clouded with confusion. Wasn't Fernstar going to select her? Pain gripped her heart, twisting it in tangled knots. Anger seethed at her pelt, but she did not let anything except happiness show for Coyotefur. She knew she had to at least get an apprentice, though, right? As all the names were being called out, she was waiting to stand and touch noses with hers. But she did not even receive one of those. This time, she felt more sad then angry. She shook the water out of her eyes, and stormed out of camp after the ceremony, needing to be alone. She sat under an oak tree, laying her head on her paws and reliving everything that had just happened.

Bramblewhisker nodded, blushing softly under his heavy tabby pelt. "Yes, I suppose we will." He drew a paw over his ear, then tried to find Sparrowpaw. Once he did he touched his nose to Sparrowpaw's. "I shall make you the fiercest warrior this clan has ever seen."

Shadowpaw watched as Foxstripe ran. She smiled. Good. One down.

Doveflight felt herself angering .'Calm down' she thought to herself. "We will train at dawn"

Hailpaw, noticing that Foxstripe was upset, left Juniperfrost and ran over to Foxstripe. She snuggeled up next to her comfortingly

"Good. And you better learn to respect me." Shadowpaw turned around, hiding a smile. "Oh, and bad things will happen if you don't."
